First impression: Your site seems to have that "patapon" ( a famous psp game) look, the color contrasts with each other and it looks very soothing.
Header: your header image looks wonderful, but those blobs can look smoother, right now, one of the big block looks rectangle-ish somehow. The blue you use for the header title is awkward, it should be another contrasting color like black maybe.
Updates block: I don't like the black background you use for the dates, give it a "strong" tag and 1px dashed underline so that it wouldn't look very emphasized. Top padding is also recommended.
Navigation bar: your navigation bar looks fine to me, I like the gray blocks and the black background you use, nice choice of color.
Sidebar: I like style you use for the header title, but the font is way too small and when you hover, it's blue... I don't think it can be seen with the naked eye, darken and resize it, let people read it.
Container: Your container looks good to me, the header title is awesome. The text size and color is just right, very easy to read and there is a decent margin for each line, so that's awesome.
Footer: what's up with that huge empty space in the bottom? maybe that's just me, because I'm using google chrome in windows.
Overall: overall, your site is pretty decent, just fix the header and some minor fixes and your site will be awesome!
