I have mixed feelings about your site. While it is neat and organized, the header has way too much empty space. I would move the site title and the content div up about 100 pixels. There's no need for such a big space at the top.
I'm a fan of the brown and yellow colors -- reminds me a bit of a 1970s living room color scheme, but it works well. However, I don't like the teal "my thoughts online" under the site title. It doesn't match anything else and it takes away from the really cute drawings connected to the site name.
You might want to widen your sidebar a bit. It looks somewhat isolated because it's so much closer to the top than the content. I think it wouldn't seem that way if it were wider.
Lastly, your HTML isn't valid because there is some kind of error on line 125. Nothing too crazy, just the div class tag has those weird placeholders instead of quotes. I only skimmed the rest of your HTML, but it looks like everything else would be fine after that's fixed.
All in all, I really think your site has a lot of potential. Aside from the minor edits I mentioned before, you might want to think about adding a bit of content about yourself -- like an "about" page or something. I definitely have a lot more interest in a person's blog when I know a bit about them.
