Hi Viki! Wow, my friend spells her name the same way too lol. Anyway, here I go to review your site:
First Impression:
Wow, I really like the colors of your layout. The header is very different than what I've seen before, and looks really good with the colors. I also like the dark gray background contrasting with that. It might look better if your site was centered though, but you did put a shadow into the background to separate light from dark, which makes up for that. I'm not too fond of how you put the navigation under your site name, and didn't even notice it at first, the color was so light. Also, your font size is teeny tiny! I have to almost squint to read it.
One more thing is that I really think you could do better than frames, or iframes. It is weird to have that scrolling box, plus the normal scrolling of your website layout. Your layout would look just as good with DIVs, and then you could have one sidebar instead of two next to each other.
Refresh:
This is where your blog is located. I really don't like the scrolling of it, but that is due to your iframes. Your smilies are cute, though bigger than your text, which makes awkward spaces between lines. If you make your text bigger, than that would solve the problem. Also, check your spelling. In your most recent post, you spelled "losing" as "loosing" (drop an o). Your blog is pretty interesting, and I like how you bold/italicize/underline stuff a lot. And it highlights! haha. Keep it up with your voice, its really good for your emotion to come through so it's interesting. On a side note, it's seriously hard to read peoples comments. A different font color would be nice.
WWW.:
Okay, you only have 2 links on this page. It would be best for you to just combine them and have them both on the WWW. page instead. Good buttons, maybe you want some other sizes, such as 32x32, as well. For your credits, include your blogging tool as well (is it cutenews? fanupdate?). Also, maybe you could add a web history part of your WWW. page. Having a link to the feedback form on there would be nice too.
Contact:
Just kidding. I just found the link to the contact form, no need for it on your WWW. page. It's a basic contact page.
Content:
Okay, really, this should say something like, Visitor, instead of content, because that would mean that every other page on your site is not content, so what is it? Content means anything and everything on your website. Just a heads up.
The use and learn thing is very plain, and it's annoying to have to click those links to get to more links. Maybe use an expandable navigation for that, or just list both on one page. Whenever I hover over a link to click, a scrollbar comes up in the bottom of the frame. Fix that possibly if you can?
I like your backgrounds; they are very nice and how they are displayed is pretty cool. Your dividers have interesting colors, and they are different than most dividers that I see. I wouldn't use one though, as they are kind of thick. The icons are very cute! love the teddy graham one, lol. I'm glad there are no illegal celebrity image ones.
I'm confused why you have pixels and pixel emoticons under the title of pixel text. You could get rid of that title. The pixel text is a very neat idea; haven't seen it in awhile. Except, I cannot even read the link of the example of how to write it, it's such a small text. Another funny thing; that pixel text is a little bigger than your actual site text. Your pixels are okay.
Those counter skins are neat, and look pretty good. Why is Blinkies underlined? Is it coming soon? Oh, I just got that that's a different section. I haven't seen blinkies much anymore either. I used to have them on my site, but I took them down. I don't know if people are going to use your's either, but that is just because I don't think anyone uses blinkies.
Those are some cool brushes! did you make them yourself? And what program can the be used in? Make sure to specify. I actually have some of the fonts you show! xD That's good that you don't take credit, and link to DaFont. Very smart. Your make a pixel is interesting. The make space doesn't actually give any extra space. I'm in Firefox, that may be why, but you need to make sure it works in all browsers.
That fishy website layout you made is pretty cool with the swimming fish. It's not as good as the one you have up though. And the text is really small on it too! Also, why is the italic text soooo much bigger than the normal text? I like the header for your second layout. It would like nice centered, and the font color for it is hard to read.
Wow, it's lucky that I saw the Learn page when I looked back on the "content" page. So, your tutorials are pretty much written well, although the "display coding" tutorial is kind of hard to understand. Some are much like other websites. Also, your "right clicking" tutorial link doesn't work. It goes to a page that is not working. It says that there is something wrong on line 288 of that page.
Services:
Interesting Cutenews hosting service. Instead of having to paste into the contact form, why not give it its own form?
Viki:
This is a very personalized page. I like how it is not too short, but not too long either, and I can really see your personality in it. Maybe add a little more though, like some of your favorite music, or hobbies that you have. Get a little creative! lol On another note, check your spelling and capitalization; you need to capitalize "i'll" in your last paragraph.
Anything Else:
You might want to capitalize "viki" in your sidebar about you. As for anything else, it looks like you really have good grasp of what a what your site is about and how it represents you.
Overall End Impression:
Overall, I would say that your site looks very good! It's a blog site, so it was nice to see visitor content as well! I'd say to just put a little effort into some of it that needs more effort, and for some of your stuff (such as the backgrounds and icons), to keep up the good quality. Also, on your next layout, work on getting it more visitor friendly, especially the text size and readability, and getting rid of frames.
Good luck on improving your site!
