Hmm I kinda like the giant text you've got going. Sure your layout's not "flashy" or like many other layouts with bells and whistles, but by God, you sure get your content across! :P My only suggestion is to not make it span across the screen as much? I don't mind the big text but I tend to lose track of sentences if I have to roam all across the screen and back with my eyes. I literally have to move my head slightly from side to side to read all of it.
As for your content, I really like it. You write with flair and a sense of eloquent carefree-ness and originality that makes your writing interesting to read. You're succinct and so you get your point across quickly. I like your about page, it's spontaneous and convincingly personal (rather than the more dull, pedestrian about pages you see everywhere). I think it comes down to writing style. Also, I approve of your use of exclamation points!!
I actually laughed when I saw your gigantic "search" field in your archives. It's... pretty fitting with the rest of your layout.
Anyway, I personally don't mind your text size, that coupled with the exclamations makes your site almost exciting to read. In any case it stands out. I think I've found a new regular blog to RSS. :D
