Layout/Design: I love the colors, very inviting and pleasant to the eye. I'm not a huge fan of the site title being on the right side (the whole thing with reading from left to right...), but with this design you really make it work. ;)
Since this is a "personal" site and not just a blog site, I think it would be more suited to have the about me page before the archives page. When I think personal, I like to see information about the site owner's self, likes, and what not, not just read about their daily updates. (you get me?) Point of the matter, I feel the navigation could be switched to better lead the visitor in the right direction. They come to learn more about you!
The rotating images of yourself on the side bar was a really neat idea. I actually like how that whole section looks there with the ribbon and green bottom look. (what else could I call it? lol)
The chemistry bottles seem a little random where they are, I just don't see the relation between it and "featured freebies". Personal opinion of course.
Again, I feel like the small graphic at the footer is unnecessary and just seems like you just wanted to put it there to take up space. I mean it doesn't add or take away from the design, its just there. Personally, I think all graphics no matter how large or small should have a purpose for being where they are. I just don't see the purpose of it.
Content/Pages: Your about me page was very interesting to read and I feel like I know you better just by reading it...haha.
The site info page is short, to the point, and organized. I like it.
Overall: I enjoyed viewing your site, you seem like a wonderful and interesting individual. Your site had a little bit of everything that should make up a simple personal site, attractive design, a blog, information on the owner and site, and a few freebies to keep the visitor's entertained, although not a major feature, but it works. Good Job! ;)
UPDATED 01 Dec 09:
I get the logic behind the bottles, I've seen them myself on design sites as well, but usually they have a tagline/wording that goes hand-in-hand with the image to make it logical. I guess "creating" just wasn't good enough for me and that's where the logic (relation to freebies) of the bottles is lost to me. Like I said, personal opinion.
I think the contact link would actually be pretty useful with that image and would make it a little more original. ;)
