    Hello, I'm Jessica, I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and I'll be reviewing your site. Here we go!

    First Impression:
    Page loading time: Your site only took about 2 seconds to load for me, so that's a good start!
    Layout: To be hones I don't like the layout at all. I don't like the image of the girl on one half of the layout, and then a whole different image on the other half. It doesn't look like they were blended together at all (which I personally think would of made it a bit better) and there was a random brush on the right side of the right picture. Also, I don't really like the gray, and then the light gray, you should of used a granite to make it look better. Even if you did use a granite though, I think it would of been best off to be all gray.

    DIV's/CSS: I think that the text of the blog and sidebar could of been moved up much more, closer to the layout. I don't LOVE the CSS but it's not the worse I have ever saw. I do wish that the text was a bit bigger, maybe just 2 or 3 more numbers up.

    Navigation: Like I said, the text could of been moved up, along with the navigation. I almost couldn't find it!

    Resources-
    Scripts: Hm.. There is only one. It's not that great, but it's pretty good, better then anything I could ever do!

    Templates: The page doesn't work!

    Blends: Argh! Celebrity images... that's a big no no! How would you feel if someone took images that you spent a long time on photographing, and used them without personal permission from that you? Besides that, they are pretty low quality images

    Icons: The second, third, and forth one are pretty much the same. Nothing unique here

    Reads: I expected to go to this page and see copy and pasted reads, but instead I saw articles. I think that you should rename that page "Articles". Your Tinypic v.s Photobucket article was pretty well written. It listed the pros and cons of each, which I like. There were a few spelling mistakes though...
    begginers
    Is spelled: Beginners

    personalise
    Is spelled: Personalize

    Photography: You only have one picture here, but it's pretty nice. The only suggestion I have is to use a light box. You can find a tutorial here: Click!

    Owner: Pretty good, You added a picture of yourself, and some facts about yourself. i think you could add a few more paragraphs if you wanted to...

    Domain: I like how you told some things about your site... how you started, etc, and then you added some credits. Credits are always good!

    Tutorials: your tutorials are good, they get to the point and aren't confusing. Add more!

    I hope you don't take anything offensively and that this helps you with your site!

    Layout: I think in your layout image, the colours of the landscape are too bold - it looks kinda odd. The idea you had for the sort of overlay colours was good, but in parts, they're again too bold. I'm not sure if it's just my laptop being faulty or whether you've coded the tables in the position they're in, but the way the tables and layout image are aligned really doesn't look right. Also, the content section is overlapping the sidebar, so you can only see half of the sidebar.
    Blog: The content of your blogs is fine. But in some parts, you have terrible punctuation.
    Content: Your content's ok. Your blends have a unique style, but I think you should sometimes vary the style of them. People would get the impression that you have no skills in blending, because you simply use photographs and cut outs. Your downloadable template doesn't work either. The one script you've done - I really don't get it. You can easily get this effect by changing the hue/saturation on a picture. There's actually no need for it.
    About me There's way too much writing to keep your viewers interested. People will get bored way too easily. Glad to see at least someone's spruced it up a bit with some pictures and other information on your pets etc.
    About: Still too much writing really.

    I'm sorry for such a bad review about your site, but if I'm being completely honest, it's really not up to scratch. I just refreshed the page to see whether there was just a fault in the CSS or something, and I see that you changed your layout completely. Bad idea really, it looks kinda like a Freewebs template, and the tables etc, aren't right at all. Your content goes way past your footer, too. Maybe you should take a break for a while, or at least read up on skills. www.w3schools.com is a good one. I used that for a lot of the stuff I do.

    Hello. I am Amanda and I will be reviewing your site. Now before I start I am using Google Chrome on Windows Vista on a 1280x1024 resolution. What I write in this review is my opinion and what I think can help make your site better. I hope you take some of my advice.

    When I Enter
    Your layout is all messed up. You have heard this before and I read some of the reviews you have previously gotten. I suggest maybe using a template or just recoding your whole layout. I am not a fan of the background color. It is too bright. I think a darker maybe red that matches the header would be better. Now going to the header, I am not a fan of the effects used. There is too much on the top and almost none on the bottom. I think it should be even out maybe with a more natural color. Now to the navigation. It is all squished together. I have to hover over each word to be able to read it. It just looks like 1 giant word. Maybe space them out a bit?

    Rebekkah
    You seem to have a lot of information about yourself. That is good as a lot of people like to know who is running the site. You have some nice pictures of yourself and of your pets.

    Domain
    Your history is interesting. Everything here is real organized which is a plus.

    Content
    So I enter scripts. The one is all the way at the top of your layout. You need to fix that. Your template looks okay. So your blends looked good until I clicked on them. They are not blends. A blend is an image that blends into another one. Not just a few images stuck on top of each other. Your icons are also on top of your layout as well as your Tinypic vs Photobucket read. The photography is pretty but low quality.

    Tutorials
    You don't have many tutorials so I won't be spending much time here. Your tutorials are very short, maybe add some pictures?

    Overall
    Overall I think your site can be awesome. You just need a few things to work out. Good luck. And if you need help remember Google is your friend.

    Internet Explorer / 1024x768 / Windows Vista.

    Firstly, your layout is very messed up. I can only see the top part of your sidebar. Your footer is coming out randomly from your content too. Screenshots? Sidebar & footer. I suggest scrapping that template and using or making a new one.

    Your layout isn't a favourite of mine, but kudos for not using any celebrity images. The effect on the layout looks weird, because only the top have has been coloured. I think it would have looked better if you coloured the whole picture and added some nice text. The font you've used for 'paperheart' isn't one of my favourites.

    The navigation looks really, Piczo like? The way you haven't put any spaces between the words looks really unprofessional. You haven't even got a 'home' link, thats one of my pet peeves.

    I would get rid of Cutenews aswel, it's a very insecure script. I'd suggest using FanUpdate or WordPress.

    I'm not an expert on coding, but I'll take a brief look at yours. Your HTML isn't valid, it shows 16 Errors and 28 warnings, which you can view here. I would suggest reading a tutorial on validating your HTML at tutorialtastic.

    OK so you're using containers, which is great, but you also have quite a few absolute positioning codes like this in your header:

    <div style="position: absolute; left: 340px; width: 430px; top: 0px;">

    You need to remove those.

    OK, your CSS is nearly valid just one error which is easily fixed, view here.

    In your CSS you have:

    #content {
    margin : 0;
    float : left;
    width : 510px;
    padding : 10px;
    background-color : #f7f7f7;
    }
    #sidebar {
    margin : 0;
    padding : 0;
    float : left;
    padding : 10px;
    width : 150px;
    font : 0.98em/1.6em arial, sans-serif;
    background-color : #ffffff;
    }

    Why are both your sidebar and content floating left? This is probably why your content is over your sidebar. Your header coding is actually really messed up. I really don't know what you can do, except get a new template and re-code your website. You can find templates at tutorialtastic.

    Onto your Rebekkah page, you need to make sure you capitalize all your I's, some are, some aren't. uk should be capitalized aswel. Your pet's are cute by the way.

    Your domain page is organised. You need to capitalize all your I's again. Also britney should be Britney, piczo should be Piczo.

    You should change the name 'content' to 'resources' or 'visitor' because everything on your website is content. OK I click on 'scripts' and one script appears at the top of the page, which by the way, the script isn't good. But again, kudos for not using celebrity images. Your one and only template is rather messed up, and no one would consider using it. At least it has valid XHTML and CSS though.

    I spy celebrity images. I'm guilty for using them (I haven't removed all mine yet) but you should get rid of the blends section, they aren't even good quality. Again, your icons and reads appear at the top of the page, not sure what's going on there. Your photography is OK, but picture quality isn't good though.

    Seeing as I'm revamping my own tutorials as 90% are worthless and crap, I can't really say too muh here, but ditch them. They are simple, and everyone has the one's you do. Write some original tutorials.

    Overall, your site didn't impress me really, your resoures are way below average, and I've seen your tutorials on about 100 websites. I definitely think you need a new template, and sort your website out. It's not very pretty to look at. Your spelling isn't great either, you need to make sure you capitalize all your I's, im should be I'm aswel. Proof read, and spell check your work. People will get annoyed if they see loads of spelling/grammar mistakes.

    I think you have a lot of potential and I know you can acheive something with your website, you just need to put your mind to it. Hope this review was some what helpful.

    Hey there, this is my second review :) Originality will help you score points and I love every layout that is soft and clean. Oh and the absence of celebrities is a plus! Let's get started :D

    First impression:
    I just adore your site name! It's sweet and easy to remember! Hum, the layout looks a little weird. *Checks if it's because of Firefox...* No apparently, it's the same in IE.

    Layout:
    Interesting choice of picture, but it doesn't look right... I love the effects you put on it, but the rest of the pictures has normal colors, which looks weird. You should consider putting a color filter or more effects on the rest of the picture, so that everything is in blue/purple/pink, etc. Also, the black signature is a bit harsh, maybe a soft color would have been better? Or even white? However, awesome, no celebrity layout :D Even though I don't really like the layout, you scored point for not putting any celeb and being original ;)

    Organization and CSS:
    I see that you used a template from Swimchick, good idea, it looks fabulous! The choice of colors is perfect, even though a little more contrast wouldn't hurt. I can read the text perfectly, but other visitors might think it's too small. You should align the image in the center too, because now it's on the left and there's a gap at the right. Also, there is a weird white bar at the top... I don't know what it is, but you should remove it. Overall, nearly everything is perfectly neat, clean and organized! Nice job :D

    Spelling and grammar:
    I'm French, so I do not consider myself an expert in English grammar, but here are a few mistakes that I noticed...
    "november" should take a capital letter, "Im" needs to be "I'm", make sure you capitalize your "i"s, "makeing" should be "making", "acoording" should be "according", "isues" should be "issues"', etc. There are other mistakes, but these are the most obvious. Consider revising your text in Microsoft Word or anywhere else before posting it online ;)

    Content:
    Wow, when I checked out your about me page, the whole page appeared on top of the layout and on your blog, so it's impossible to read right now O_o You're on hiatus now, so I can't really review your content.

    Conclusion:
    My eyes enjoyed visiting your site, since the colors are soft and your design is clean. However, my brain didn't enjoy all those spelling mistakes. It's kind of annoying to read when there are so many capital letters missing. Good luck with your site :)

    Wow your layout is discombobulated. The main image is 'ok', but I don't like celeb layouts much and your content is just kinda floats around out in nowhere. The navigation doesn't look like it's even connected to your site. You should try making an image that incorporates the navigation and content into it.

    Your portfolio section is what really drops the rating of your site though. I really hope that this is just a glitch or that you are not done coding because if not you have some serious coding issues.
    It's like your css just vommited on the page and left. Text and images overlap and there is nothing in your portoflio. You have a bright green header here and one image I think that is all. The rest of the pages come up ast broken.

    Your visitor content is so so. The nicest things were the blends, but I'm not real big on celebs so... anyways. The rest could use some work, and I'd suggest adding a lot more.

    Last thing I would suggest is to up the size of your font, it's hard to read.

    I like your layout, but next time you should try a light shade of another color as the background, and possibly have a bigger graphic. White is hardly EVER a good background for an entire layout. Also, you should pick more basic fonts. Next time you might want to try Arial Black or Times New Roman.

    If you don't have a page ready for your visitors to view, like your content page, just leave the link off until the page is completed. That way, when you finally DO get that content page, people will want to check it out and see what you have. If you have that link up now, and you don't let your visitors know when that page is complete, no one may check back to see if its finished. Just a small thing I ended up having to learn on my own, LOL. =]

    I love how sweet and REAL you sound on your sidebar and your "About Me" page. However, you should look through it again for spelling and punctuation mistakes, because I see a few.

    I know that you said that Fan Update isn't working right now, and that's understandable- but is there a way for you to just write on the actual HTML page or something? Find a way to at least write a note there for your visitors, so they know that your site isn't dead. Also, it would be a very good idea to add some CSS. Lastly, a lot of your links are broken. For example, your link to the layout base you have is broken. It should just be http://www.outspoken-kate.com, not http://www.paperheart.info/outspoken-kate.com.

    Overall, I think you have A LOT of potential. I can see that your still pretty young and new to making sites, so needing a little work is COMPLETELY okay, it's how we all get better. Just work more on your layout skills. Your blogs are probably very interesting and fun to read, so I suggest blogging any way that you can to keep current visitors. Good luck with your site!

    There must be something wrong with your CSS or HTML because your layout doesn't look right at all on Firefox. Fix that and try your best to make your site all browser friendly [close to impossible] but try your best!

    Only 1 Css error which is quite good but you have 15 HTML errors and 6 warnings which is better than most people's site.

    You don't have a Character Encoding, no Parse Mode and no doctype which is a big NO/NO because those things are really important, to learn more about those, go here

    You spelt Porfolio wrong on your navigation and also your Portfolio sub-domain has three 404 errors, the only page that seems to be working is the Photography page but yet there's no Photography showing even though it says Photography Count 1

    The header image you got from Outspoken Kate is just too messy! I advice you to try and make your own and make something better, something without celebrities picture, you can use one of your Photography...

    It's obvious your site is in a maintenance mode so I can't really review much about your site...Hopefully, it'll be better than what it shows now!

    Hi Rebekkah, I'm going to review your site paperhearts.

    I like your layout, ... oh, hang on, you didn't even make it? Oh, no. Why have you got two site names on? I suppose it was made by Kate at outspoken? Then, are you really allowed to do this?

    Anyway, the colour for the text ("Model Behavior") clashes with the layout colours.

    And where is your CSS in all this? Your headers and sidebar come up as Times New Roman, black, and huge and ugly. Sort this out, please, there must be hundreds of tutorials on CSS.

    Oh, god. Your coding is bad. Worse than mine, and that's saying something. Where's your doctype? Where's your < body > tag? Why have you got absolute positioning? You should use containers.

    Ah, you do use containers, but incorrectly. And you only haven't got ANY information for any headers, other than margin and padding for h1! No wonder your coding doesn't work.

    Argh! Your text is centred! You should consider making this justified, or at least aligned to the left. People can read it more easily, and it just looks better aesthetically.

    You've made a few spelling errors on your Rebekkah page. Capitalize "england", "new york", and a few other names, please.

    Domain hosting is a broken link.

    One of your rules for subdomain hosting made me laugh. CSS knowledge? Yours doesn't work!
    You should consider adding a form to this page.

    Portfolio -
    You have consistently spelled this "portifolio". Take the first "i" out.

    3 of your links were broken, and one of them had nothing on.

    Content doesn't work.

    Conclusion
    You really need to sort your site out, Rebekkah. If you put some time into each individual part of your site, it could be great, but with all the broken links and the bad CSS nothing works. I would love to give your site more, seriously, but I couldn't get onto anything and your layout wasn't even made by you.
    Good luck with improving your site:)

    Emileh gave it **--- on 24th Nov 2008 and said:

    First complaint, your CSS seems to have failed, or maybe it doesn't work in FireFox, please fix that. The header image is also pretty icky. Number one, Celebrity image, where's the creativity in the whole layout? Yes, I know that it's hard to make a layout without one- believe me, I've been there, but you just have to get out of that habit. Another complaint about it would be that you've just chopped the image out (messily, if I may add) stuck a tacky image effect over it, and plastered a few brushes with clashing colours over it. Not a nice effect. Very piczo. Wait a second, why does it have OutspokenKate on the layout, and on the second place where it says that you've covered it with "paperheart.info"? That's theft, my dear. Yes I see that you have credited it, but don't cover the credit on your layout if it's on the image itself. Not a good practice.
    The title of the site. "Model behaviour ft GEMMA WARD ____-" Ahem, just Paper Heart and a short tagline will be fine, thank you.
    Right, let me see if this layout works in IE.. Nope, the CSS fails in IE as well. Fix that immediately!

    In all honesty, I'm reticent to move onto the content.
    Your 'about me' isn't very nicely written. "I don't really like talking about myself." Then don't. "rebekkah" You need a capital letter, but you could have been typing too fast (I know, I do it). Eeeh, you have so many pets! x) They must take up so much time! "White chicks , juno , mean girls , shrek , blades of glory , just my luck , hairspray , hsm 1,2&3 ,friends , ghost whisperer , scrubs" You don't need the spaces between commas, and they're names of movies, they should all have Capital letters, and be italicised, or within apostrophies.
    The Hosting pages are okay, but shouldn't be under their own section. Put them with 'Site' or something. Your Domain Hosting page comes with a 404 error, so you should fix that link, (most probably broken) or remove the link until you've actually made the page.

    Portifolio? Spelling mistake, it should be Portfolio. I don't know if you mean to do this, but, seriously, sort out your CSS, I don't know why it isn't working, but it isn't! Your content table seems to be in TOTALLY the wrong place! Re-Position that. "Everything on this site is copyright to me. Except for celebrity images and some textures so credit to those people!" Not all of it is copyright you. Yes, the celebrity images aren't, but you can't go saying it's all copyright to you, then say not everything is! And 'credit to those people' is not NEARLY specific enough, you need to credit everyone in turn- a separate page will do, not necessarily all on the sidebar. Drawings, Stories, and Blends/Layouts all come up with 404 errors, either remove the link, or fix the broken link. And the image is using yet another celebrity image, you can do so much better than that! If it was a lovely image, I wouldn't have so much complaint, but it's too large, and way too plain. Too plain. It's all the same colours, then you wonder why half the background colours aren't even ON the layout, nor do they match- especially not that pink.

    And even the content page has a 404 error. Fix all the broken links, or remove them if they don't link to anything!

    Overall, you could do so much better! I know you can! You have the makings of a GREAT site, just utilise your ability and creativity a lot more, and brush up on some basic coding knowledge.

    You got such a low rating because I think that there is a heck of a lot of room for improvement, I hope my advice and constructive criticism was useful to you!

    Hi Rebekkah,

    Actually your site isn't crap as such (though I would say make your own header graphic), it's just lacking in CSS. Your spelling needs correcting in some places but for the most part the "problem" is that you haven't used much styling. Put your written content in paragraph tags. Add attributes like color: (colour hex code) to your fonts and backgrounds and move your layout around a bit by using floating divs, for example (don't actually use this as the colours would look awful):

    p {
    background-color: #777;
    font-family: verdana, sans-serif;
    font-size: 14px;
    color: #000;}

    and for your divs:

    #container{
    background-color: #fff;
    margin: 0px;}

    #content{
    float: left;}

    #sidebar{
    float: right;}

    Additions are the key. In changing your CSS you'll also be able to style you wishlist as a separate entity and change your links from the default blue.

    Ahh, your portfolio link (spelling check: portfolio) leads to a page that looks like you're trying out the coding I've suggested already. You're heading in the right direction =D

    You've referenced your stylesheet twice in the top of your html, you only need to do that once. Delete the one appearing after the head tag is closed.

    End your page with a closed body tag and a closed html tag and delete the stylesheet reference at the bottom.

    So far, so good. Keep it up!!

    PS: don't forget to add more content!
