I really like the website layout you have made. :) It's cute in appearance and it's very nice to look at. From top to bottom, the layout is well-put together and nice looking.

Your footer contains too many things. It seems too busy compared to everything you have on your site and blog. Maybe you should take some of the things out or display little of the things that are there.

I really like the content you have on your site. It's cute and useful to people who comes to your site.

Besides the content, I really like the Hobbies page you have and how you display it as a photo gallery. :)

Nice job! Continue the good work on your layout!

Hey Ash! It's Ash. I'mma review your site now. ;)

I review design from top to bottom, and then content from left to right!

Okay, so, I love the top bit with the search box and skip to footer. It is very cute, and looks original (as opposed to... say, just a regular rectangle which is what one would find on almost other sites).

The header is very nice, but not entirely interesting. I loved it when the layout first went up, and I still LIKE it, but it's lost a bit of its appeal after so many months.

I'm a padding-obsessed-type, and I think your design could use just a touch more throughout. Some things run dangerously close to the edge, such as the "my quilt," button on your latest entry for q*bee blog day.

Your Flickr looks awesome (I like how it shows different random photos on each page), and your footer is adorable.

Essentially, your design is still super, even if it is getting a little old. It's very you. And I can understand why you haven't changed anything lately, being a new teacher and all! Your blog entry about the gingerbread girl was so funny. I'm going to show it to my mom, I'm sure she will enjoy it (she is an elementary school librarian).

Your About Me page is very well written and incredibly informative. I love the way it is separated into sections. The inclusion of photos is a nice touch. The supplementary pages also help us learn about you. This is continued in your Domain section, which is laid out similarly.

Your hobby section is a good idea, and the layout of the sections is adorable. However, I do not like it when things that do not exist yet are linked/ displayed. I feel a bit cheated out of what I was looking for, really.

The Goodies are cute. I LOVE the avatars. I'm confused as to why the first two sections look uniform, but the last one (Fanlistings for you to join) does not. I think that it should be listed in the same way, to be consistent.

Your Links page is immense, and nicely organized. I don't understand what the person below me (I think, I only skimmed their review) meant by telling you to ditch the links list because it directs traffic away from your site? Clearly, they are misinformed, and quoting information they picked up from somewhere else. If you were offering a SERVICE, like web hosting, or site design, etc, THEN it would be unwise to redirect traffic. But, this is a personal site, there is only so much that can be done before one will move on. And just because they move on, doesn't mean they won't be back. It's not like you're missing out on anything!

Anyway, in conclusion, your site is still going strong, and is definitely still one of my favourites. I'm really glad that you've started to blog again, because I always find your entries to be interesting and funny!

    Layout

To have a name like "rainbow stuff" I would expect to see a layout with very bright and eye catching colors. I got quite the opposite, your main header has some dismal "rainbow" colors complimented (and I use that term loosely) by a grey background. You might want to try and make something a little more colorful and creative.

    CSS

I like your css. It is simple and the way it changes colors when you highlight looks cool. Although I don't understand why your bolded words, header, and links are all the same maroon color (if I could call it that). There is room for improvement there.

    Content

Blog - Your blogs are simple, which isn't neccessarily a bad thing. It just lacks the enthusiasm to keep readers interested.
About Me - Your about me is very well put together, organized, and by the looks of it no real grammatical errors. Good Job!
Hobbies - Fantastic! That makes the site all the more personal.
Goodies - Lacking a good amount of content, but I see that you're working on that.
Links - Thats kind of like giving away free advertisement, because I see that you are no where on their websites. You're kind of redirecting your visitors away from your site. I know that you are trying to be a good person, but just think about what you're doing.

    Overall

Your site was marginally good, but there is room for improvement. Good Luck and I hope this review helped!

    :)

On the contrary, I am listed on several sites that I link to. No, not all of them, but I believe in linking to sites that I enjoy so that others might discover them too. :)

What color would you suggest for my header, etc.? I didn't want to use black.

Funny how you suggest I use bright colors. My site has been criticized in the past for having suck bright colors. :)

    Thanks for the review!

At first glance, I really like your layout, but from the name Rainbow Stuff, I was almost expecting something just a tad more colorful. But besides that, your layout is very neat and organized, which is a big plus. I'm also glad that you included a little statement about the site right off the bat. That helps give visitors some knowledge of what your site is really about. Another part of your layout that I find interesting is your Flickr image rotation. I've never seen one on a site (yet) and I found all the pictures that I clicked on where very interesting (btw, you looked beautiful in your wedding pictures).

Now, let's move on to the content on your site.

About Me: When I first saw it, I thought it looked a bit lengthy, but it's not as bad as I expected (don't judge a book by its cover). For the most part, you summed everything about yourself that you want to share nicely.

Domain: Do you really need that much about your site? You could probably shorten all that up into a little over 2 paragraphs, maybe. I like that you have other links for your site at the bottom, though, like the past layouts and archives pages.

Hobbies: Yay for arts and crafts! Your picture frames are adorable and your doodles are better than some people's, but you don't have anything else at the moment. I hope you add some soon, it will really add to this page.

Goodies: You have some pretty awesome pixels (Icons, smilies, etc) and I hope you add some more soon. Not many people can make good pixels, but you can. A lot of your avatars are really cute as well as your single desktop background. I also love that you added poetry and fansite listings to your site. Those are very unique (to me anyways).

Links: Wow! That's a lot of links! You obviously love the internet and I'm glad that you want to share good sites with other people. I'll have to check some of these sites out myself.

Overall, you have an amazing site here. Only small tweaks here and there, like spelling/grammar and other things, would make it perfect, even if perfect doesn't exist. I had fun reviewing your site! Keep up the awesome job!

    Thanks for the review! :)

I would like to add more to my hobbies section. As it is right now, I don't have a lot of time for my hobbies! :( Hopefully I can begin finding ways to include them into my busy schedule.

I appreciate the comments! I will try to take some of your suggestions. :)

    FireFox 1280 x 1024 resolution.

My first impression is very good, I really like the layout. The colors are quiet and very easy on the eyes, the graphics are nice, and everything is organised well.

I like your about page it's set up nicely and I can relate to you in the long distance relationship thing. I too met my boy friend online, though our distance was a bit farther than yours. BTW Watch out your typo on planned (stressful and didn't go the way we had hoped/panned.) There's so much to read and look at on your about section, if I had more time I would go through it all.

Nice history of your site as well, I like that you archived your past layouts too. You have some cute drawings, and it's neat that you make your own picture frames. They look very lovely.

I like your visitor content, there's a decent ammount and it all looks nice. Overally you havea a great site! I loved looking through it.

Thanks for letting me know about that particular typo. No one else has brought that one to my attention. :)

Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you enjoyed my site. :)
