My special man-friend and I blag here. We are too lazy to write a proper about page, and hope that people who care enough get to know us by semi-stalking us instead.

It's nothing special, and viewing it in IE6 will make you want to gouge your eyes out.

your layout makes me giggle (: i love it, haha. the robots are adorable and the colors are, as the french say, tres bien. too bad i'm not french. and too bad that i'm practically failing french class, but i digress.

the text on the side, beside "valamity" is sort of hard to read - at first glance it looks like a bunch of... squiggly thingies, and you really have to focus your eyes to read it. so i'd suggest changing the thickness of the border around the letters, or making them non-vertical (meaning horizontal, obviously.) or just taking them off altogether.

i love your navigation icons, lmao, but there are so few pages that your little "you are here" thing is kind of pointless, hey? i know where i am, thank you very much, because it's not as if there's many places to go.

your about page leaves something (well, lots of things) to be desired - information about you guys, your relationship, etc. etc. etc. would be nice, you know? i, personally, like to know a little bit about the person(s) whose blog i'm reading, and i'm sure lots of others feel the same. also i think you should have used the blue-y header for "about" instead of that bland, bland gray - i liked the color. (:

and... yeah, there's not much else to review. >.<

but i really liked what i saw of the site, haha. keep it up.

Hellos. I am here to review your layout. :) I hope you have a nice day. :) I hope you find my review something you can improve on.

I really like your layout. It's very cute. The concept of the robots on your layout makes it appealing.

I really like how navigation buttons and the hovering effect you have over it. I think that is pretty neat. :)

Overall, your whole site is pretty cute and I love the layout. Maybe you can add some content here and there around your site? But otherwise, it's a cute site with blogging.

    I hope you well.

Layout love! You got me with the robots.

Your welcome message is fantastic, love the originality and recurring theme that's going on. Definitely worth a star on it's own.

Firstly, your layout. I'm in love, seriously. I've never seen something so original done with WordPress. The colours that you've picked out work really, really well together and of course.. the robots. So cute!

I don't have a fault with anything to do with the layout of your site, the text sizing is just right, the line height is just right..heck even the first-line in caps works well. Oh, actually. I just found something I'm not keen on - no

First impression: I love the welcome message. Draws me in immediately. Love the text and size.
You can tell a lot of work has gone into this website. For instance, your blogs are like books with the first line different than the rest of the entry. The robots are original and cool. Your emoticons are awesome.
    About: Cool
Archives: I’d say have your links have no background and then they turn brown when you hover
Links: Same comment as above in archives but other than that cool

Also happy that your coding is validated :D

Final thoughts: Keep up the great work. This layout is cool, maybe since it's just a blog, get to developing that about section soon :D

I love your site. The layout is gorgeous, the set-up is quite original, and personality shines through... but I'm sure you already knew that ;) So despite the 5-star rating, I'm going to try and nitpick as much as possible.

One thing I don't like about your layout overall is the blue vertical text around Valamity! It's a bit difficult to read, and the space between each line of text and Valamity! is slightly different. (By Seth and Leila is closer to the site name than the "slogan" is.)

I would like to see more padding between the little introductory blurb and the first blog entry on the main page -- just some more space on both sides of the thin brown line.

It really annoys me when a certain size of small-caps is used so the first letter appears bolded. This is noticeable with Valamity: on the front page, and the page title on the other pages. Increasing the font size would be an easy way to eliminate this and make the titles a bit clearer to read.

I don't like how the "Thanks, Wordpress." in the footer is split between two lines (in my resolution, at least). Consider splitting it into two lines, and perhaps reordering things --

"Some rights reserved. Feel free to contact us.
XHTML and CSS -- valid, we hope. Thanks, Wordpress. Robots rule."

I love how it says Robots rule, though :D

    ~ Blog
The striped background for the date is weird, I think. Perhaps the strips could be thinner, or it could just be a solid background.

I wish there was a "previous entry" link of some sort on the main page. Sometimes visitors like me just want to see the previous entry without going to an archives page.

I would like to see a slight hover effect on the entry titles, even if it's just a subtle darkening of the teal.

    ~ About
This page feels really bland and empty. Not particularly because there isn't much content here, but it's all gray and brown font colours but no teal :(

    ~ Archives
I get uncomfortable around links with backgrounds whose backgrounds disappear on hover. And I feel like the Author and Month list items are missing bullets. This looks great overall, though, especially the tag cloudiness of the subjects.

    ~ Links
All the empty space on the right could be filled by splitting the blogroll into two columns, or having the webcomics list placed there. I don't mind the way it is now, but it's just something to consider.

    _____

Given the lack of extensive pages-within-sections depth of your site, I don't think the "you are here" breadcrumb is entirely necessary. Except with the archives, it only shows one word that the visitor can easily keep track of, or find at the top of the page. I can see the issue with wanting to have those back and forth links for the archives, but I think those links could be placed at the top and/or bottom of each individual entry.

Okay, I'm done searching for things to point out. Uhhh, have I mentioned that your navigation icons are awesome?

Hi, I really like it! The colors are really nice and the graphics are good. The layout is also nice to! However the black paragraphs text is a little to plain, if you can just fix that it will be very nice!! Good Job!

Reviewing at 1280x800 in Firefox on Windows Vista.

    Design and Layout
Nice and Clean was the first thing that popped up in my head. I love the robots there since they're original and cute. The colours are also not to hard on the eyes nor are they glaring. Good job on that.

I've decided to test your layout further (since it was fluid) and so I tried resizing my browser to a 800x600 resolution. It didn't work it's magic like I think you expect it to, but I guess you might've catered for 1024x768 and above.

I also love the icons you have! And you've a really cool navigation. I love it that I can know what it links to whenever I hover above it. Some websites have icons that look similar or is meaningless and don't exactly give you a clue on where you'd be headed to, but yours did show that magic to me.

    Content
Aww how sweet, a shared blog!

Honestly speaking, I was rather disappointed in your about page as I didn't seem to know enough of the author by reading it, and I expected it to be longer or alternatively, split into subsections. But like you've mentioned that you were going to write it, so I'll just skip that.

There isn't much content apart from that, and so I think the about page would bw the most important content other than your blog entries (which I will not review since I never review entries).

    Conclusion
I like your site, but I've a few suggestions to make:
Entry titles should have a bit of a top padding. It would look better if the post title and meta information was centered with the calendar you have. It might just be me, since I do that often, but of course, it's entirely up to you to do as you please. Oh and hurry up with your about page XD I can't wait to read it.

    Layout & Navigation

I love it. The robot design is original and creative. Navigation is clean and sleek, there is text on hover so that I know where I am going. The breadcrumb links is good too because I know where I am. These are very helpful. A little complain might be the text on left of the layout. The outline of the smaller text is too strong, thus making the wordings hard to be read. A suggestion would be to reduce the thickness of the outline from the smaller text, your site name is fine as the font is a lot larger. Valid coding and CSS which is fantastic! :) Your layout is also scalable which makes it works in all resolutions above 800x600. Thumbs up! Great job!

    Content

I was reading the text before the comment's form. It's humorous and very original. About page is short and sweet although more details about the authors would be nice. One thing I would like to point out is that I'm not too fond of the coloured background of the links (say for example the archives page). I'm not sure how to phrase that but it looks choppy when the page has many links.

    Conclusion

The site is original and the authors have some good sense of humour. That's not much to complain so great work. :)

Its a very cute site! I love the robots and the whole hovering thing :]
But one thing I don't like is the fixed background. I don't know why but it just annoys me. But I guess that's just me. I see that your site is XHTML Valid. Good Job^-^ I can't do that even if my life depended on it.(: I couldn't read the word "phenomenon" on your layout but that's just because I have a slow mind ;)

Overall the site is fantastic! But the robots catch my attention and makes me look at them instead of your blog(: But that's just because I like robots too :P Keep up the good word you two (:

I really like the layout you have, the robots are great! Navigation is simple and easy to float about the site with. I really like the color scheme too.

I like that two of you whare the blog, it's a neat idea and you both post interesting things to read. It would be nice to see a more detailed About page, but at least you have something there.

Would be nice if you added a little blip with each link just to say what kind of site it is that the viewer is going to be looking at.

hmm Otherwise I can't think of much else to add. For a blog it's quite nice, just add a little more content and it would be most excellent.
