First Impression
You proportions look a bit off. The space between your content and sidebar is too wide and your header seems a bit small. The colors you have look fine to me, but I don't know if I like that flowery background or not. White would've been fine I think. Nothing looks very cramped together, and overall, it looks very neat.
Layout/Design
I'm not a big fan of the font you used for the navigation, or the hover color. The font itself looks choppy and has fuzzy lines, and the violet only makes it harder to read. You're also using two different fonts. I don't see a reason for it, and it only serves to make your overall design look less tied together. There's also no real reason why your text should be so colorful. The bold color is good for emphasis, but everything else seems unnecessary. Your post titles being capitalized makes me think that you're "yelling" at me.
You unordered bullets are off the content area, to the left. It looks messy and unprofessional like that. Your background doesn't seamlessly repeat, but it's close enough that if I wasn't trying, I probably wouldn't have noticed for a while. I saw that you had a CSS validated badge on your site, but when I put your site through validation here, it seems that you have five errors.
Content
I'm not a big fan of myspace graphics, but yours seem like very decent. You should at least have credits for where you got those images from (in your blends, etc.) I find that I can't ctrl+a to select all in a textbox, nor can I ctrl+c or even rightclick and select "copy." Having some of your graphics open in new windows because they're too big for your layout isn't a very efficient way, and annoying for the viewer.
In your CSS tutorial, don't suggest to other people to use pt for font sizes. You might want to clean up your tutorials, since some of this is redundant.
A:link { text-decoration : none; } A:visited { text-decoration : none; } a:link, a:visited, a:active { color: COLOROFTHELINKS; text-decoration: none; font-family: WHATFONTYOUWANTTHELINKSTOBE; font-size: SIZEOFFONTpt; font-weight: none; text-transform: none; background-color: transparent; } a:hover { color: COLOROFTHELINKS; text-decoration: none; font-family: WHATFONTYOUWANTTHELINKSTOBE; font-size: SIZEOFFONTpt; font-weight: none; text-transform: none; background-color: transparent;The first two A:link and A:visited are pointless because you have text-decoration defined again afterwards. You're missing the closing bracket on the a:hover in the end, and you might want to explain to people exactly why the syntax is that way.
The rest of your tutorials are basically one/two-liners that don't really "teach" much. You're just giving people snippets to copy and paste, without letting them really understand anything. Your grammar, as far as I can tell, is decent enough to be understood. Since this isn't some kind of formal site, you don't have to get it 100% right.
I'm Nicolette;; your average teenager. I'm a night person but I like to shower in the morning. Having fun and texting is what i do. I hate boys that PMS worse than I do. Oh, and I laugh whenever I hear 69. (; ...
This block bothers me a bit though, since it's one of the first things that people see when your site shows up.
The use of two semicolons, I don't really get. If you need a separator, why not use a comma? It would be appropriate. "I'm a night person*,* but I like to shower in the morning." The entire block is worded in an awkward way, but it's nothing big to worry about.
Overall
You just have some minor issues with your site, and nothing major enough to worry about too much. I would suggest fixing these whenever you possibly can though.

It feels like your website is a bit ill proportional. I feel you should put your sidebar down so it's even with your sidebar and feel free to make your header a bit bigger. Your navigation could be a bit bigger. Even though it is a fancy font it could get blended in with your color scheme. The colorscheme is nice so are the little icons by things in the sidebar it makes things looks more organized. Ahhh your font for your affiliates is so so so so small. I feel either have a full page for them or put some up there in regular sized type and have a link to the others or you can rotate them? Ahh no footer? With a layout like this one would really look nice at the bottom to pull the whole layout together.Pages
Myspace- As soon as I get to this page the font on your sidebar becomes small and you have a footer sort of! It should be uniform and it looks better on your homepage. I really don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to myspace graphics so I won't review this.
Resources-
Scripts- And so it begins...oh joy celebrity images. It's like ooo I can take this pictures of a random model and make it turn pink and oooh I made content! Right? Wrong. Just because you edit a copyrighted picture doesn't mean you have the right to keep it there it is property of the photographer that took it.
Brushes- That brush pack of hollister/abercrombie logos? That's illegal as well using some company's logo without permission. Besides that these are nice I'm a big fan of vector-y brushes
Masks- So the previews are what the image looks like after the mask is used? Erased with random brushes?
PSD's- NOOOO!!!! I hate psd's or png's whatever. Cutting up a random celebrity image is not making a resource! And worse yet when people credit that site they got it from. It's illegal in the first place.
Patterns- Some of these are okay but specifically ones on page 2 look like they were made in ms paint in 30 seconds. Quality not Quantity
Smilies- I like these :D cute
Stock- The only stock I see is crumpled paper! Try different textures anything cardboard a blanket something that looks really cool to you
Textures- You have multiple pages for things I love that do it for this page you have a lot of these. More light textures less textures with black swiggly white lines I can barely see.
Wallpapers- Cute idea I really like vector wallpapers.
Icon gradients- These are pointless I can use the gradient in gimp or ps and get more of what I want in a gradient.
Icon textures- Don't resize your textures use pieces of them because it looks much better if you'd do tat.
Bullets- Ahhh can't read little pixel text below them barely!Graphics-
Animations- Don't really see a point to these. All of the hollister clothes aren't moving O.o
Blends- If they're copyright aren't you know supposed to not USE THEM?!! Use stock photos!
Icons- Yay yet more celebrity/model/whatever pictures
Glitters- Shouldn't these be under myspace? I know people use these on myspace.
Quotes- Some of these look very blurry.
Cursors- The previews don't work maybe because it's for internet explorer I would alert people of this.
Font styles- What is the point of this?
CSS "codes"- Codes for what? Is this css for links...ect? Explain this.
Layouts- UGHHH more celeb layouts. Make sure your css and your html is valid before you offer any coded layoutsTutorials
Html- UGHH these are sort of "trendy" technique like marquee, no right click (psh like they'd steal the code of a "newbie" and you can still see it), and use "code" instead of "textarea" always;DSite
History- Candie rocks has come a long way.
*Link your about me page in "site" too!
and in credits "Killing in the name" is a known site with a virus and the owner stole brushes a long time ago I wouldn't link that site.
All about me- AHH!! You're the same height as me!! 4''11 (and a half) and UGHH I'm 15 next year I'm supposed to stop growing and I want to be atleast 5''0 :D pretty name too.Overall
Tweak your layout fix up your coding and get rid of celebrity images totally. More of this less of that hope you enjoyed the review.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

OK, your layout is nice, and I do really like it. However you have a horizonal scrollbar which annoys me. I checked the dimensions of your layout and they are 1280x700, hence why I have a horizontal scrollbar. I think you should have centered your layout using containers, that way the layout will be centered in every screen resolution. You can find some templates at tutorial tastic.
You have A LOT of affiliates on your sidebar, I'd cut them down and have a 'more' page. It just looks really messy and disorganised. Is the tagboard really necessary? You're using Haloscan, so you don't really need the tagboard aswel.
I'm not an expert on coding, but I do know what I'm talking about heh.
Your CSS isn't valid, view here. Only 4 errors which are easily fixed. Your CSS is also quite long, for example you have:
h1 {
background-color : #ffffff;
text-decoration : none;
text-align : center;
color : #c0c0c0;
padding : 5px;
width : 170px;
font-family : tahoma;
font-size : 10pt;
letter-spacing : 0;
line-height : 10px;
border : 1px solid #dbdbdb;
}You could shorten this to:
h1 {
font : 10px/10px "Tahoma", sans-serif;
background-color : #ffffff;
text-align : center;
color : #c0c0c0;
padding : 5px;
width : 170px;
border : 1px solid #dbdbdb;
}
You can do this for the rest of your CSS with Jem's Guide.
Your HTML isn't valid either, view here. You haven't even got a docotype! From what I see, you have your HTML, so you need to add this to the top of your header:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">You haven't even got body and html tags either!! The top of your header should like this:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
<html>
<head>

I'm not going to criticize you for using celebrity images, but you do now they are illegal and I suggest you remove them.Your resources are really good (despite the celebrity images). I especially like your brushes and smilies. Your stock images are quite blurry though. I like the way you've organised your free layouts, but again get rid of the celebrity images, because from your current layout I can see you are very creative.
On your getting started with Freewebs tutorial, the images are coming off of the page, screenshot.
On your learn how to create your own CSS tutorial, you have used textareas to display codes, which is wrong. You're suppose to use code, you can follow a tutorial at tutorial tastic. Some of your tutorials are pointless and can be found on every site, for example your HTML/Coding tutorials.
I have no complaints with your site page, apart from the fact it's just links? It's quite boring, and annoying. Maybe add your history to the site page and then links to the other pages.
Overall I found your site easy to navigate and it's organised. You definitely need to work on fixing up your coding though. Also consider getting rid of the celebrity images, as they are illegal and very un-original.
I think you have a lot of potentional, your graphic skills are already good, just brush up on your coding :) Hope this review was some what helpful.

I like your header, it's nice & simple. The color scheme is good, and the text is easy to read. However, the navigation is too far from everything else, and looks disconnected from the layout. Moreover, for some reason there's a horizontal scrollbar on your site, which shouldn't be there.
Also, I think you should cut down the amount of affiliates on your sidebar. It just looks like a huge clump of links. Try using a link rotation, or just have a few top affiliates.
The rollovers & your CSS take some time to load/work as well.
You might also want to fix your background; I can see where it begins/ends.Content:
Overall, your content is pretty good. You have a lot of stuff, which is also good. Your brushes and textures are really nice and helpful.
I just think for the 'updated' parts, you should put it as separate text (dont make it in link form like it already is), or use a pixel or something. It blends in too easily. That way, the visitor can visibly see which categories have been updated just by first glance.
As for your stocks, some of the images are blurry, which, in my opinion, isn't really usable. Don't post blurry pictures, because they're usually not good to use. Also, the script takes awhile to load.
Some of the hex codes aren't that visible on your color palettes. I also wouldn't recommend using a pixel font, becuase those are hard to read sometimes. Try just using a solid black font for all 3 of the hex codes, so that it's easier to read.
For some of your graphic/resource pages that have multiple pages to them (like your quotes for example), why are they on separate pages? It's easier (especially for those with slow internet connection) if they're all on one page, so the visitor doesn't have to keep on clicking & waiting for more pages to load just to look at more stuff.Overall, your site's really nice, and definitely has some potential. Just brush up on your layout/CSS, and make some improvements to your pages. Other than that, nice job, and keep up the good work :)
