    Hello Bridget! I'm Sophia, and I'm going to review your site using Opera on windows vista with a 1024x768 screen resolution.

    First Impression
    A bit dull. I'm not a new visitor, your previous layouts were better.

    Coding
    To tell you the truth I'm a coding nazi; when I see a site with no valid coding i don't like it.

    You have 5 Errors and 6 warnings. First of all, why are you using iframes? There are some codes you're using that includes iframes..get rid of them.

    Next, while using images you must provide an alt code. For example;
    Then, there is your twitter code; do not place a id it a class; .
    After that, you're using HTML 4.1 transtional NOT XHTML so while using br they must not be but this instead .

    Also, you're using HTML transtional so while using codes don't put a dash at the end. For example you have; it should be; .

    This shall fix your coding.

    Now, let's go to your CSS; you have 2 errors.
    First off, there is no value named clear. You should put this code; clear:both;. And you've placed an inncoreect code for you h4, it should be like this; border-bottom:1px solid #00f8b5.

    Okay, so now we can rest.

    Layout
    You're layout is pretty dull, using the yellow made a bit more interesting. You have 3 colmuns? That's justnot attracting since it looks messy. You could just add your about header to your sidebar would look more neat. There is nothing interesting about your layout not the background nor the header image -which doesn't exist- so it's pretty dull.

    Owner

    I like this page, I like how you've written about yourself,. Though the picture annoys me; are you wearing pants?

    site
    Why do you have your protfolio link in your site's page when you already have it in your navigation?
    Anyway, the pages look fine.

    Visitor

    Textures
    Your textures are pretty good, though there is only 3 add more. Oh, and they also took a while to load.

    Brushes
    Your brushes should'nt be with downloads since you provide image maps we don't have to download them. Anyway, I like your brush set pretty nice, add more!

    Emotions
    "Use and give credit please" It seems like an order to me probably it would better if you said "credit if used".

    You emotions are so cute! I'm sure people would use them!

    Tutorials
    I like your tutorials! Ifollowed the layout one.

    PORTFOLIO
    It shows some of your past layouts which can say you are creative but your current one just makes me feel bored.

    Overall
    Bridget, you have a pretty good site. You're creative and you show it in your content. Although your coding and your current layout made me upset a bit i still see that your site is good.

    I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't like your site. This is going to sound negative but here goes:

    1 I have to squint to read the words above and below you "Kill the hurt.info" logo - they need to be slightly larger.

    2 You have small text in both the left and right columns, each competing for me to read it. The overall result looks very cluttered.

    3 When I try to read the right hand column, I'm afraid I thought to start with I was reading some rough notes that shouldn't have been there. As an opening line "edit I've been tagged! :) By Mila!" does NOT grab me.

    4 What you are saying doesn't interest me - you have to make me interested in you as a person before I care whether your room is tidy or messy and before I want to read all the minute details of a volleyball weekend.

    5 You need some interesting visuals. At the moment, there is nothing to draw the reader in.

    6 You need to use some form of headings and sub-headings to break your text up. At the moment, it is a very dense mass of small font text which is hard to read and off-putting. Try taking an interesting observation form each paragraph / couple of paragraphs and put them as some form of heading, maybe using a funky sort of font to give a personality to your site.

    7 I would also use some "white space" around your text - allow bigger margins (top, left and right). Also, leave a blank line in between each paragraph. This has the effect of making your text seem less daunting.

    8 I think you need to add a home button into your navigation - once I went to a new page I couldn't get back except by hitting the back arrow at the top of my computer (nothing to do with your website).

    9 You need to watch your spelling here and there - "emoticons" should, I guess, be "emotions".

    Sorry if all this sounds very critical - I wrote this before I checked your bio and saw you were just 13! At 13 there's no way I could have written a site like this, or even had the technical skills to do so, so well done and please don't get discouraged. Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm sure with your next attempt you'll come back and wow us all!!

    killthehurt's Response:

    Thanks, I appreciate your criticism :] And I've changed a couple things. But..
    1. I want the text to be small like that.
    8. actually, the button 'clear' would mean home.. Maybe I should change that, since I've had another person comment on that.
    9. No, I mean emoticons.. :P Like smilies.

    Erin gave it ***-- on 27th Feb 2009 and said:

    Hi there, my name is Erin, and I will be reviewing your site today using Firefox 3 on Mac OS X.

    First Impressions:
    I am greeted by a left-aligned layout with a fairly large layout image of Ashley Tisdale. I am not initially impressed by any means, but I am glad that the color scheme is easy on the eyes.

    Layout and Overall Design:
    I know you're getting annoyed by the whole illegal use of images thing (as I can see from your blog), but it is an important subject to consider, not just for legal reasons, but for ethical and creative reasons, too. It's probably true that a small website wouldn't get busted by the art industry for using the photos in layouts or in graphics being offered, but there is that possibility. Like the music industry is cracking down on people who download music illegally (I happen to know someone who got fined a few thousand dollars for it), photographers and those who represent them may soon follow that path. Also, it's a courtesy thing - would you like people using your creations without your permission? You make graphics for people to use, and they are freely accessible - so why should they bother asking you if it's okay if they alter your creations and then redistribute them? It's the same concept. Using others' work without permission (and "crediting" the site you found them doesn't make it okay - the owners of sites the distribute these photos most likely didn't take them) isn't just legally wrong, but it's morally wrong, too. There ARE websites where you can legally use images for free - places like Stock.Xchng have the terms of use for each image, so you know where you're allowed to use them. And then there are creative reasons why you shouldn't use images illegally. It's not really art to take someone else's photo and add a few effects in Photoshop, and if you want to be taken more seriously, then you have to (at the very least) use legal images, or better yet, your own images. So, I advise you to care a little bit more about where you get your images - celebrity or not - and here is a link to a list of legal image sources: http://arcagility.wordpress.com/2007/09/26/100-legal-sources-for-free-stock-images.

    ANYWAY, I think you have good skills in Photoshop/PSP, and I like the color scheme. It's cohesive and easy on the eyes. I have a few suggestions though:

    - Center your layout. I know these types of layouts can look funky if they're not aligned to one side, but it's usually better to design a layout so that it can be centered. On larger screen resolutions, there is a LOT of empty space on the right side of the screen, so that just makes your site look unbalanced and squished to one side.
    - Increase the size of your text. I can read it, but after reading a lot of text, it does start to get difficult and annoying. Especially for the blockquote text, the tiny text + serif font make it really difficult to read. People with worse eyesight or vision problems probably would struggle to read your text, and you want people to know what you have to offer, right? If they have to squint, then they'll likely just leave.
    - Increase the line-height and add some more padding. Your text is all squished together and up against the sides of their divs, so they need some space for added readability.

    Now, on to your content!

    Blog:
    Your blogs are fairly substantial, which is good because it gives visitors something to read and a way to get to know you right away. Since I'm writing this review over a couple of days, I noticed that you have a few edits to one blog, but it's not always clearly indicated, which may confuse visitors - they think that it's a new blog, but then it's not! So maybe you should be more clear about that, like how you have "edit" written in bold before one of the edits.

    Also, your grammar is inconsistent. Sometimes you write properly, and then other times you don't. You should write with proper grammar all the time, not just because it's correct, but because the appearance is uniform and it's easier for others to read (especially non-native English speakers). I also noticed that you capitalize a lot of words, which kind of makes it seem like you're screaming a lot. Doing it sometimes is okay, but I think you can better show emphasis without having your text shout at visitors by using <strong> or <em> instead.

    Another suggestion I would like to make is not to use Cutenews as your blogging script. I haven't personally used it, but it's supposed to be a very insecure script, and your blog can easily be hacked. When you even have a link to your Cutenews login page, it's almost like you're asking someone to try and break into it. Not very safe - I don't think you want people messing with your blogs! I suggest you try to switch to a more secure alternative, such as FanUpdate (which is supposed to be easy to use, but again, I haven't used it) or Wordpress (which I use and think is really nice).

    Owner:
    I like that you have a combination of paragraphs, lists, and even a picture. It provides more visual interest for the reader, and it makes reading the page less monotonous than list after list after list. You have a few minor grammatical errors, like not capitalizing names (e.g. your dog's name). (As a side note, I would like to comment on your remark about science - your doctors need to know all the science. So do the people who make all our favorite technological gadgets possible. Lots of people need to know at least something about science. I'm a science education major. I make science relevant.)

    Site:
    Why is the list of links in block form? It's kind of strange. A regular list of links would look a lot better than a big blue box stretching across the content area.

    - History: Nice and concise, but it also provides all the information I'd want to know about your site history. Again, you didn't capitalize a few proper nouns (e.g. Freewebs and Freehostia are names of free host sites), so it's a good idea to fix that.
    - Past Layouts: Pretty standard, although you could add a bit of information such as what you liked about the layout or when it was up, just to give the page more substance.
    - Link Back: This is a very short page that probably doesn't need its own page (it's just more links that visitors have to click on - they want what they're looking for as fast as possible!). I'm going to suggest a way of reorganizing your site section so that it's more visitor-friendly at the end of this.
    - Contact: Pretty standard as well; I like that you have a form as well as the option just to send an email.
    - Credits: Good that they're there, although maybe you should note what you got from each site so that people know how they helped you.
    - Affiliate Application: Pretty standard as well, nothing really to say here.
    - Advertising: Pretty standard, too.

    I would suggest that you combine a few of these pages and just leave the rest linked on the Site page. For instance, you could easily combine your History, Link Back, Credits, and possibly Contact pages into one page and be on the main Site page, and then just have Past Layouts, Affiliate Application, and Advertising linked. This way, it's easier for visitors to get all of the important information right away, and if they want to learn more, they can continue to browse.

    Content:
    Again, the block links kind of make the page look broken up into blue rectangles, which is sort of visually confusing.

    - Layouts: I think you have good graphics skills, and I can tell you have creative compositional ideas up your sleeve. However, there's not much variety, so they may not appeal to a wide variety of visitors. You've got talent, but you need to show it more!
    - Blends: I never really understood what the point of blends was. I mean... what do people use them for? They are pretty much the same concept of some of your "uncoded layouts," so it's kind of ambiguous as to what to the purpose of them is. Like I said, I know you can make nice graphics and add cool effects to images, but I think you can put that skill toward things that are more useful to visitors.
    - Textures: Not much variety here, but I think the third one is pretty cool. It reminds me of fireworks.
    - Brushes: Your single pack of brushes is pretty cute; I used to have one just like it (as did many other people). There's nothing inherently wrong with it - and I can see people using them - but you could definitely try to offer something more unique.
    - Emoticons: Very cute! I like these, and these are definitely appealing to a wide audience. You're good at them, so keep adding more sets!
    - Free Cutenews Installation: I don't know how I'd feel about letting someone install something for me if they'd have access to my entire site, basically. I feel like people should have security issues with this. Plus, Cutenews is an insecure script that is not updated, so I don't know if you should be promoting its use.

    Tutorials:
    - Repeating X-Axis Background Image: I like that you have this in step format. I suggest that you have your examples in thumbnails linked to the larger preview, so that a visitor who was skimming through could more easily see what it was supposed to look like as you went along. With examples just linked as text, they're easy to overlook. And as a minor suggestion, don't continually point out that x-axis and horizontal mean the same thing. You said it once in the beginning, obviously it still means the same thing.
    - Cpanel Tutorials: I suggest you write what version of Cpanel you use for these tutorials. Not all hosts have the latest or the same version of Cpanel, so they may not all be the same to follow. I also think you could use some padding around your example images because they are butting right up against the text. It would also be my preference to center them, but it's not a big deal.
    - Cutenews Tutorials: They all seem easy to follow, which is good. But like I said before, the script is supposed to be extremely insecure. Although I haven't personally experienced the problems, I know people who have, and I know I wouldn't want to be telling people to use a script that puts their site at risk. That's why I suggested you switch to a script with better security that is continually updated.
    - Image Mapping + Blending: Both seem pretty straightforward, although they're kind of generic tutorials (especially the blending one). Can you teach us something that aren't being written about everywhere?
    - Bullet Points: I would just like to point out that list-item tags need to be closed. So you would need to have a </li> at the end of each item in the list. Also, you could just use some shorthand in the CSS that you provide, since all the margins are 0: margin: 0;. Otherwise, this is another easy-to-follow tutorial, which is good.
    - Button Rotation: You didn't say where to put this code on the page - you should specify because usually people who follow these tutorials need to know these things! Also, did you write the script? If not, you should at least note who did.

    Hosting:
    This is sort of going "off-site" since it's on a subdomain and is separate from the rest, so I won't go over it.

    Overall:
    I think you have a whole lot of potential, and I can definitely tell that you have talent and creativity. Work on using your skills to make your site more unique and original, because right now, it's not outstanding compared to the many "graphic/personal" sites out there. I know you can do it though, and I would love to watch your site develop! Best of luck with everything. :)

    Hello From Greece too!

    So, as i saw your layout, i tried to focus more and more in order to do my best and write a full review! So, firstly, to be hinest, i don't really like the layouts that are on about this style...I mean, that this style ( banner in the left side, and the rest near the banner, isn't my favourite style! ) I have to admit, that i like the graphic which is used for the banner, it shows you have some excellent skills in photoshop! I prefer the navgitaion are the side not to be created in the coding, but in photoshop...It makes me think that the layout and the whole result of the website is more proffessional!

    PAGES

    the pages is avery important part of the websites. They let people learn and read interesting and important things, about the celebrity the fan site is made for. Although, when i browsed your pages i realised that ALL of them, where in the same page. And by that, i mean that if you click "site", then it appears every single page, and it has all the stuff in that page. I find that a bit confusing. I prefer the pages where when you click "site" for example , then you have a list to choose (something like a "sub"list that contains "link me" and others, and if you click to one of those links, then eveything you need appears

    I am not so good at coding so i dont wanna make any comments, as it wont be fair...It seems you got an awesome coding skill though!

    All in all, even if i dont like that much the celebrity your site is about, i would recomend it to my friends to visit it, as i think it worths a visit, you got awesome photoshop and coding skills, and i am sure you can improve you site and make it more High Quality!

    I am going to reviewing your website on Windows Vista via Firefox 3 on a1440x900 resolution. I am going to be reviewing more of your content, design and overall look of KILLTHEHURT.info rather than the codes and CSS stuff. I prefer to do it this way.

    The site name is pretty cool. Sounds a bit violent, but hey! Whatever floats your boat. You should consider having an icon in your address bar. It makes people remember your site.

    Upon opening the link to your website I was impressed, I liked the layout including the header. I really lied the green and pale cream backgroud, thought it worked really well. Looking at it was very pleasing, looked very well designed so kudos.

    The sidebar is a decent size too, not too big or anything and I like how the submenu headers are in capital block in the color green. Looks very really good. Good font and font size. Only complaint is that having the Affiliates and Navigation is capital blocks is too much and doesn't look as good. I would suggest having them in lowercase, which would in my opinion look better.

    In your Owner content I liked what your wrote. Seemed honest and real. So thumbs up! Improvements that I think can be made is breaking up that paragraph, it's visual hard to read because it's such a frikin large paragragh. :) try breaking it up into mini paragraphs such as 'family', 'life', 'me', 'school', 'Volleyball'...etc... And I would also suggest putting a picture of yourself up, or an avatar. SOMETHING. :) It makes the reader feel like they kow you a bit more better, and if people have familiarality, then they are more likely to come back toyour site or book mark your page.

    but a line break between your lasy paragragh and your "Contact" information as well. Will maek it look better. ;)

    Teh site information bit was good. I liked readiong about your past layouts. Only improvement there would be having screenshots of your old layouts so people can see how you have improved your site from how it use to be.

    The "Clear" button was unclear of it's purpose, I didn't realise that it was justy like a "Home" button. You should consider changing this to "home" or something to that effect because of this. (It could just be me being retarded though!)

    Overall, it's a nice site, few things you need to do and I am sure it'll be pretty snazy. :) Peace x

    Hey there I'm Diana! I will be reviewing your site using the latest version of Internet Explorer.

    When I visit a site, I always check the coding on this site. Turns out, you have 14 errors and 41 warnings. You should take a day or two to correct them.

    Okay, so I love the show Psych and I love the color scheme you're using and how it incorporates almost perfectly into your CSS. BUT you have not credited the images you used. Nevertheless, you need to look at this article.

    "Owner" page. You have quite the.. large paragraph going on. You should divide them up, ya' know, into smaller segments. One introducing yourself and the basics, one about family, one about school, one about the sports, and so on. It'll make it more inviting to readers and not seem so dreadfully long. But otherwise, I love your name. Bridgette. Anywho, contact info = good.

    Now to the "Site" page. I see you offer advertising, affiliates, and domain hosting and you have applications for those. All links work. I love your layout featuring Chicago. Once again, awesome color scheme.

    "Content" page. You have very good designing skills, but as I previously stated, you cannot use celebrity images in this manner.

    Layouts. Looking at your layouts, they both have errors and warnings with the validator site. The Rachel Bilson layout has a load of them. But I love the Office, another high-larious show.
    Blends. They're good! I don't like the Blake Lively one, and I'm not sure what's up with the Jac Vanek/Scarlett Johanson? Is that one blend or is it supposed to be two.. Nevertheless, you still don't have entitement to using these images.
    Textures. These look very nice!
    Brushes. You give the designated program. Imagepack + Download. Nice (:
    Emoticons. Very nice. You should keep making these, you have good pixeling abilities.

    And we now go to the "Tutorials" page. The layout tutorial is nice. One thing, ya' spelled tutorial wrong. You spelt it turoial? But good tutorial regardless. Your bullet point tutorial is somehow on the bottom of the screen? Don't put FTP Programs if you don't have any.

    On-to the "Hosting" page. You should make this a "blank" page because it's a different website && layout. Wordpress? You should help these people, who most likely have no experience with (sub)-domains, so you should learn how to work it. Otherwise, I'm glad you offer hosting.

    In conclusion, just don't use celebrity images. They're a huge no-no and many reviewers will continue to tell you this. I hope your site continues to progress! Best of luck! (:

    I do fanart myself so I don't have a problem with celebrity pics. All I care about is aesthetics, and I'm not seeing a lot of inspiration in your graphics. But keep practicing, we all have to start somewhere :)

    Content:
    Not much to say that hasn't been said already. Try to work on original content. Something you like doing, something you're good at. Given that every other person has a website these days, it's not really possible to do something completely unique, but you can add your own twist to what you do.

    Coding:
    You have a doctype on your main page (<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">) but no character encoding set (for example <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="application/text/html; charset=utf-8">) and your body and html tags are left open. Every page should end like this:

    </body>
    </html>

    On some pages, the content jumps up and down when I move my mouse over a link. If you have a:hover {border-bottom:(something)}, you should also have a {border-bottom:(page background color)}. That way all links have a static border that is "invisible" until you hover them.

    The Christina Aguilara (Aguilera) layout link is dead.

    Fairy gave it ****- on 21st Feb 2009 and said:

    Hey, i'm Fairy and i'll be reviewing your site in the latest version of Firefox and on Windows XP.

    First off, I love your site name, it's cute, catchy and i've never seen anything like it before. Also, I really like your layout, it looks really good, especially the CSS. The green & the tagline are nice too, you don't see them around much these days.

    Your sidebar is a little too long, but most of the sections there seem needed.

    Me

    I like the few facts at the top, before the full explanation. It guides you slowly in, gives you basic facts to understand the rest. Everything else in this section is pretty standard, but I would suggest a space between the last biography line and "Contact Me", as it looks too crowded.

    Site

    This first page is also pretty standard, but I would make sure there's a space between the end of your "History" and your "Past Layouts".

    Also, you seemed to have linked the "Owner" part here, when you already have a section dedicated to you on your sidebar. I think you should remove it from this part as it's really unecessary and doesn't really fit with the "Site" theme, as it's not about the site - the same with hosting. I don't really see a need for them to be linked twice.

    Content

    As a first impression, you seem to offer a wide range, which is always good as it expands the number of visitors you can get. I really like your layouts, I think that you're quite talented with them and I think it's really nice of you to offer them as premades.

    Your blends and textures are of very high quality too, it seems clear to me that you really have talent for graphics, so keep it up! But remember, quality is always better than quantity.

    The only brush set you have an offer is really good, and your emoticons are very cute. I also think it's quite sweet of you to offer free installations, because I know there are a lot of people that struggle with installing and find it hard to have what they want enabled on their sites.

    Tutorials

    Your tutorials are good too, but I don't think you should link the installation of CuteNews twice, and I think you should remove the FTP section until you have some tutorials to put there, as it looks a little untidy.

    Hosting

    It's always good to see a site offer space for others, and the mini-site feel on the page itself is quite cute and endearing. The rest here is pretty standard, but on the whole I think it's a really good thing.

    Overall

    I really like your site, and I would definately come back once you have more content. So far, so good, so keep it up!

    Heya! I'm Mimi and I shall be reviewing you to-day. I am very much into proper use of CSS (and much against CSS tutorials that aren't correct.. I hope you don't have one! *meep*) and overall originality. So let's hop to, eh? :D

    First Impression:

    I can see a few things right off the bat that I might suggest in the design section but nothing majorly "bad" stands out, you know what I mean? Everything is all lined up nicely and the colors go well together and such. :)

    So I don't really think I will blab too much I guess is what I am saying. Things look to be in good working order.

    Coding:

    I see that you are not validating your coding. A lot of reviewers that come on here nag about valid coding but I'd be willing to bet that only 1/10 of them actually know WHY it's a good thing to do. It's important to try and validate your coding for cross-browser compatibility. There are so many browsers out there anymore that it's hard to make one's layout work well in each of them. If you only make it look good in one browser then viewers that use other browsers are going to stop coming to your site if they can't see it properly! That's not good for anyone involved, nope nope! So anyway, I strongly suggest that you look into it. The owner of this site, Jem, actually has a great tutorial site where she explains how to validate in XHTML 1.0 Strict, XHTML 1.0 Transitional or even HTML 4.0.1. I suggest trying for XHTML because it's better in the long run but validating your HTML is a great start as well! :D Oh yeah, almost forgot. On the bottom of this page you can choose which one you want: Tutorialtastic's X/HTML Section.

    Since there is no validation in progress I can't really point out things to fix so just start off with that and then you can use the W3C Validator to see what errors you have left. It will also tell you how to fix them but if you get confused and need help you can always send a message my way, I'd be happy to help out!

    The CSS has some problems and I adore CSS so I am going to try and tackle those, explaining along the way! The first thing I would like to mention would be CSS Shorthand. It's really easy and it makes your CSS file sooo much shorter, it's awesome! So for an example I will just take out a section and then fix it up using shorthand so you can see the difference! Ok here is a section straight out of your CSS:

    h1
    {color:#5ec82f;
    Background:#ffffff;
    font-size: 14;
    font-family: Courier New ;
    line-height: 13px;
    text-align: right;
    text-transform: Uppercase;
    font-weight: normal;
    text-decoration: none;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #e5e7e5;
    letter-spacing: 0px;
    margin: 0;
    padding-top: 0px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    padding-left: 0px;
    padding-right: 0px;
    }

    Yow! There is some shorthand already being used with the border so I see that you are already aware of one of the instances you can use it! That's great! :D Anywho, here is that same section, but re-written with shorthand:

    h1 {
    color:#5ec82f;
    background:#ffffff;
    font: 400 14px/13px "Courier New", sans-serif;
    text-align: right;
    text-transform: Uppercase;
    border-bottom: 1px solid #e5e7e5;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    }

    Oh yeah! I actually did a few other things that I will explain, other than shorthand. First of all, if you have a font name with spaces in it (such as Courier New!) you need to make sure you put quotation marks around it. Dunno why, just one of those CSS rules. Also I added 'sans-serif', the reason for this is that not all computers will have certain fonts that you might choose on them so by putting 'sans-serif' at the end, it will tell your site to choose fonts that are similar to the font you chose in case that person is missing the original font. If the font you choose has serifs, like Times New Roman or Georgia, you would just put 'serif' instead of 'sans-serif'.

    I removed the text-decoration: none; because it doesn't even do anything here. Make sure you aren't using things that aren't necessary. Really the only time you need text-decoration: none; is if you are styling your links and you don't want the underline or if you had previously told something to have an underline or something and you now want it removed.

    Your font size here is causing a validation error because is simply says font-size: 14;. You have to make sure you are putting a measurement after it. I put px for the example but for my next point..

    You should refrain from using Px or Pt when you set the size of your fonts and line heights. The reason for this is that Pt is a printer measurement and well, your site is not a printer obviously.. LOL! Px is bad because it is a set size and won't increase properly if someone zooms your text. So I suggest using either Em or % for setting those. To change from Px to Em easily, I found this Px to Em Calculator that works nicely. All you have to do is enter the number you are using in Px and it automatically calculates and shows you the equivalent in Em. So in that example you were using 14px, it would now be 0.88em.

    Since I went through ALLL that (sorry, I talk a lot in real life too.. hehe) now I shall give you the link to a really cool CSS Shorthand Guide. It shows you what you can do and how to order it so that it works properly. :)

    As for your other CSS errors, let me just list how to fix those:

    - There are several places you just put '14' for your font size, make sure you always put a measurement after it.

    - In your blockquote area your border-left is in correct shorthand but then you have border-width: 2px #000000;. You need to either change that to border-width: 2px; or border: 2px #000000;. If you are telling it that the border width is 2px, you can't also tell it that the border width color is black, it doesn't make sense. If you want it to say both things, you need to remove the -width part.

    - In your bold styling section you have text-decoration: bold;. That's not even a valid thing, if you were to tell something to be bold it would be font-weight: bold; instead. However why is that even in there in the first place? It's already bold, you don't need to tell it to do something that it is already doing.

    - In the A.nav:link, A.nav:visited, A.nav:active section you have this: background-color:#;. It's empty and causing an error so just remove it.

    I think I have given you quite a bit to work on so I will leave the coding part at that.

    Design:

    Let me just start off with this: You are going to receive a LOT of crap here about using copyrighted images illegally. I haven't even looked in your content yet but your layout consists pretty much of a big, illegal image. I don't lecture about it but I do agree that it's much more original if people would just stop using those images and make their own graphics without celebrities planted all over it. That's all I will say about that.

    I get so lazy at this point of the review that I just start listing things, so I hope you don't mind! XP

    - I would loveee it if the sidebar and the main area were much wider. It's kinda cramped right now.

    - I love the green color on the header but when you are using it on text down below it, it is almost impossible to read. Perhaps use a darker green that still matches the top hue?

    - Justified text in the sidebar is so hard to read. It'a all spaced weird.. :S Also the line height is so small that all of your sentences are almost touching each other. Give the text some room to breathe! :D

    - I find it odd that the bold text is bright green but the links match the regular text color! I can't really tell, except for the funky font, what is a link and what isn't! I think it would be nice if you switched the bold text color with the link color. After all if it's bold it's going to stand out more even if it's the same color as the rest of the text.

    I suppose that's it for suggestions.. I mean the design is a bit boring just because there isn't much going on. Spruce it up a bit with some original graphics!

    Content:

    - Your about me page is.. lacking. Put some good content in there! Tell us a little story! :D We want to know more about the lovely site owner!

    - Site section is a site section.. I'm just gonna skip it, it seems to be in good working order.. LOL

    - Goodies section..! *rubs hands together* Love the emoticons, you should make some more! That's my favorite content right there.

    - I do not see the point of the whole "Free Cutenews Installation". Seeing as though Cutenews is the most horrible blogging tool ever created (it's easily hacked [NO, they did NOT fix it] and very susceptible to spam) and anyway it's the easiest thing to install in the world. Now offering installation help for WORDPRESS would make sense, even though that's pretty easy too..

    - Not going to judge the other sections because you know how I feel about celebrity images and how they are completely unoriginal..

    - Textures are nice, get some more of those up girly! I like 'em! :D

    Now I must say THANK YOU THANK YOU *kisses your feet* for not having a crappy CSS tutorial up like so many people do anymore. The tutorials you have seem to be about things you are good at, so that's great!

    I think you should work more on those couple of things I liked a lot because they were unique to you, you know? Not everybody has emoticons and they are really cool. Work on your original stuff and you will get way more recognition for your efforts! :D

    Final Thoughts:

    I think you have a good start, you just need some coding guidance. Also work on some more of that original content! I can see that you do have the talent to do so and I look forward to seeing some more goodies!

    Hi, I'm Cristina, and I will be reviewing your web site in the latest version of Firefox.

    Upon visiting a site, especially one that is a graphics and tutorial site the first thing I check is validation. Sure enough you have 18 Errors and 44 warnings, which you can view here. I think if someone is going to be offering pre-made layouts and coding advice they should be giving out validated advice that is up to web standards.

    The images you're using have copyright on them and you fail to give any credit whatsoever to the images you're using. Using celeb images is a big no-no.

    Considering your sidebar is super long trying have 2 or 3 entries rather than the one to balance things out.

    On your "Me" page try to break up that big long paragraph. It's more pleasing to the eye to view a few broken up sentences rather than one giant paragraph. Some of the information you provided was unnecessary, and I felt I got to learn more about you via the "Basic&More" section. Also by your favorite subject you put "&lit" next to math and it was confusing because a lot of special characters start like that. Perhaps were you trying to put in a less-than sign? And what's with the backwards smiley faces (: at the end of almost every sentence?

    "Site" page. Again another HUGE paragraph that no one is going to take the time to read. Keep it simple!

    "Content" page. Oh boy, celeb images. You do not own any of these celebrity images and have no right to use them. I hope you can showcase some work without celebrity images since it seems you do have some design skills. Also clean up the content page links a bit as I found a few 404 error pages here and there.

    "Tutorials" page. The control panel tutorials are kind of pointless because not everyone has the same cpanel set-up as you do. Perhaps be more specific stating which web host's cpanel it is. In all honesty I think it's something you could do without. Your bullet-point tutorial is incorrectly teaching how to use bullet points. And the button rotation is not HTML, it's JavaScript. I think you ought to reconsider offering tutorials which display very little skill and perhaps concentrate on brushing up on your coding skills.

    "Hosting" page. Wow totally didn't expect to be taken to a completely different page. It'd be nice to have some kind of warning. Honestly I wouldn't trust someone to install WordPress on my web site if they didn't know how to use it.

    Overall, I think you shouldn't be offering services/advice that you have little or no skills in. And step away from celeb images. To brush up on your coding check out Jem's tutorials at TutorialTastic and if you use Firefox, the HTML Validator Add-on.

    Good luck!
