I love this layout it gives your site a professional look. It's perfect because there aren't too many brushes, so it does not look crowded. The circle badge is wonderful! I also love the brush you use for your sidebar header. The only thing i don't like is the banner that says 'emotion week' i feel that its to big maybe something smaller would lok better.
Content
Brushes You offer a lot of brushes! I love every single set!
Textures The light textures that you made in photoshop are the best, I could see those being used in many different layouts. Your other light textures are also well made, The other textures that you offer are a bit boring.
Emotions These are amazing! I love that there all animated and different! The frogs are my favorite.
Fonts I don't think that any site should offer fonts that are not made by themselves, even if you are not requiring credit it's still redistributing someone elses work. What would be appropriate is a link to the site were the original designer published them.
Icon textures I absolutely love every set. they all seem high quality. I love that you show a preview of how the textures could be made.
Patterns The last set is the only set of patterns that interests me.
Cursors Compered to other websites some of these are a bit boring, you offer a large amount of simple cursors which is fine.
Designs You definitely have a lot of talent in designing layouts. I wanted to seem them up close but it's to bad that you only have a small picture. EDIT: I saw them on your deviantART page and there AMAZING!
Tutorials Every tutorial is absolutely astonishing. You offer many tutorials on basic questions and amazing effects you also provide detailed pictures which is good for the visitor. Each one is easy to understand and fallow.
Blank buttons Every time i do a review i tell the site the same thing, that websites should make there own buttons and that offering them on a website is useless, however your buttons are very well made and simple! which makes them useful.
Masks This section is not my favorite. The masks are alright but not anything interesting.
Bullets Very nice! I like these as well.
Stock These are ok. my favorite is the post it and the frames. I like that they all have a white background, it makes them easy to use.
Icons I love the coloring one these.
Both your affiliates and your credits are well organized.Overall
You have a amazing site. Everything is well organized, easy to understand and your resources are of high quality.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

i love the header, really really much. it's original, yet simple and the yellow color catches your eye everytime. what i don't like that much is the column, because it looks like it doesn't belong to the site. i guess that simple border on the right side to separate it from the articles would be enough to make it look better. another things that make the layout difficult for me are the titles - i like the picture on the right side, but it took me quite a time to find the actual title. i guess it would look so much better if you put it right next to the picture. and the last thing - there's so little of the yellow color. it dominates the header, but (not counting the smiles and the arrows in the column) it's the only place where i can find it. little bit of yellow would be cool.
aside from that, i LOVE the layout - it's light, the colors are bright and just make me feel happy, and it's easily readable. the font is nice.
i just saw the menu under the articles. it's fine and useful, but maybe i would use smaller font for it - it looks too big.
content:
i love your graphic. it's obvious that you really like making it and i would download all the brushes if i had photoshop (''>.>) i really love the textures and the emoticons are just omg so cute. i went all "aaaaw" when i saw them. yes, i'm an emoticon freak.
the fonts are useful, and even though they're not made by you thanks for putting them up.i fell in love with your icons. they are all really loveable and colorful and i would download them all if i'd use them. i like especially the ones with lady gaga, kelly clarkson and christina aguilera.
i didn't check out the tutorials much because, as i said before, i don't have photoshop, so i can't really tell if they are useful or not, but after seeing your graphic i guess they are. and you have lot of them - good job!
overall:
i enjoyed your site and i will comeback for sure. the layout is cool and i really like it (the little negatives i talked about are just not that important). the content is just great and as i said - i really admire your skills. i would love to make such graphics!
hope i was at least a little bit useful.
keep the good work up!

It looks nice, I like the color combos, but I do not like the side bar navigation. It really makes the layout look disjointed. I would suggest making your horizontal nav at the top your main navigation and just get rid of the column. I think this will make your site look nicer. The font is a good size, nice work on that, though you could make your links stand out more, I suggest making them bold or underlined.
I think that the horizontal navigation you have should contain your main content. So I think it would look better if you started that off with Goodies (visitor content or whatever you want to call that all but combine downloads with graphics), Tutorials, Site, Links, Home. Do away with any and all off site links in your navigation. You don't want to direct the visitor away from your site yet!
Just an idea but I think it would look neat if you put that horizontal navigation up in the yellow part of your layout. Make it tabbed too. It will condense the layout a little bit more and then all the content will be separate from your layout. It will also draw more attention to the navigation.
I would also make a suggestion to drop Cutenews and find a better alternative that doesn't have so many security loopholes, like Word Press or Fan Update. Both are very good scripts.
I'm browsing your code now and you are using one table that you could get rid of and just go with CSS for. It's your horizontal navigation. (I should count and see how many times I say horizontal navigation in this review...) Anyways! A good tutorial for that is here. On that same site you can find a good tutorial on a css vertical navigation too.
I don't know why but I just no noticed all the stuff at the bottom of your page. I would move most of this to a different page, like your affiliates and extra stuff. There's no real point to it being there, and I didn't even notice it at first. I would also suggest if you want to keep it there, add a nice little footer, maybe yellow like your header, max height of say 70px and in a smaller font, like 10pt, put some of the small things, such as copyright, and stats.
ContentDownloads - I'm just going to browse through these kind of quick like since you have so much to look at. I find that you have too many links to click. I would suggest cutting down on that. Try using some anchor links from time to time. Since you use thumbnails it doesn't take long for a page to load so you could manage with that.
So far I think all your graphics look really nice. I really like your little emoticons. I really have nothing to say other than good work with all your graphics. You tend to make a lot of celeb layouts too, which I would suggest trying to shy away from in the future since they are copyrighted and if you intend to build up a portfolio people won't look at it unless it's completely your own work.
Graphics - Like with your other images and downloads I find all of these very nice to look at, as I said before try to shy away from copyrighted material in the future, but otherwise I really have nothing else to add. You have nice photoshopping skills.
Tutorials - I like that these are all categorized from beginner to more advanced. Do watch out on your image sizes though. On the few tutorials I checked out the images were all squished up. The rest of your tutorials are nice, I have seen most before. Do make sure though that your coding tutorials are up to date and are teaching valid coding, or you'll just be passing on mistakes to others.
Affiliates, contact, and credits are pretty much standard, no comments there.
Overall
I think you have a great site, you have lots of quality content and your layout is pretty nice, but I think there is some room to improve upon it. You do, however, need to seriously consider condensing your pages and links. Like for instance moving credits, contact, affiliates, and any other site related page to a section for your site. The more simple the navigation I think the longer people will browse around your site. Visitors are lazy so too many clicks is not a good thing.
I think it would be nice to see a little about page on your site about you the webmaster.
Other than that I really have nothing else to say. It's a good site, good content. Nice work.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

I'll change the horizontal navigation without table :) I already wanted to remove the celeb graphics & downloads and I'm going to do that soon! Thanks for this good review!

on 21st Feb 2009 and said:I came across your site a few days ago when I was searching for brushes, and I thought yours were beautiful! I like the hand-drawn ones and the decorative swirls especially. I can tell your design skills are brilliant.
Your site's layout is vibrant and refreshing, the logo is lovely and the gradient is a nice touch. But maybe you could move the navigation menu up to occupy the space next to the logo. Currently the links do not draw much attention to themselves, and they would be more noticeable if you also changed the colour/size/font, for instance.
The welcome message at the top looks a little bit strange, because it is at a different width to the rest of the text. I recommend displaying the welcome message on only the index page, and removing it from the rest of the site. It takes up quite a lot of room and therefore the visitor needs to keep scrolling past the welcome message on each new page to reach the content.
Some of your CSS & HTML tutorials are teaching outdated and invalid code, for example colouring the scrollbars. I put your URL in the w3 validator and your XHTML has 384 Errors and 8 warning(s), your CSS 21 errors. It's a good idea to reduce the number of errors to increase the chances of your site being cross-browser and cross-platform compatible. Many of the errors can be fixed easily, and you may want to take a look at tutorialtastic.co.uk if necessary.
Furthermore, I don't see how the Layout, Icon and Photoshop tutorials deserve their own categories, because all require the use of Photoshop and involve creating graphics. I think Layout and Icon could be subheadings under Photoshop, but you can decide.
Overall, this is a wonderful site. You've got wonderful Photoshop skills, and you're offering resources of a high quality. I just recommend that you improve your coding -- that's all. Keep up the good work.
