    First thing, I love love love the shade of blue you've chosen as the top border/header of your website. It looks electric blue, haha matches with your site name. The overall look of your layout seems simple and tidy and your text is easily readable. There are also no crazy hover effects for your links and does not move around so thumbs up for that.

    I took a quick look at your coding and you haven't included character encoding into your html, an HTML document should be served along with its character encoding. Without this, browsers may interpret your coding as something else and make your website looks upside down.
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" />

    What I also found odd about your coding was that you have used an XHTML doctype but your coding does not match that. With XHTML, self-closing tags such as<br>, <img src="" alt"" > must be written as this <br />, <img src="" alt"" /> that is, ending it with "/>" instead of ">". If your doctype was labeled as HTML then having no forward slash would be accepted. Also with all image tags you MUST include an alt tag; you basically write a short description or name of the image, it a requirement that the alt tag to be including in all image elements and it will also be a great help for those browsing with images disabled or for some reason the image is not showing up, they can read what is in the alt tag and know what the image is.

    <center></center> This tag is deprecated which means it is no longer in use anymore although it still works, it's an invalid tag. I noticed that you're using an external CSS, you can center your div's with that by adding text-align: center; or you can set your left/right margins to be automatic like this: margin:0px auto;.

    Why are there no </body></html> closing tags on your index page?? You MUST have this to close up your html document. Without having closing tags, you are leaving your html open and there is no actual end to the document. I noticed you have closed those tags on other pages so why not the main page?

    There is no need to have two entry dates on the same page, one is enough. The second one, "Posted on 15 Mar 2009 by " looks abnormally large and doesn't fit in with layout; it stands out like a sore thumb and seems to be shouting at the audience.

    Now onto your pages:
    Emily - Lovely, you've included quite a lot of information and this will let visitors get to know you much more personally. However too personal isn't good but you haven't gone overboard so that's great. There's two c's in Music, I'm assuming that is a typing error. You've also spelt "Oreientation" wrong, it should be "Orientation". The quick facts section will also look better if there was some padding to your photo, it's too close to the text and make it look crowded. You can add this to it's image tag, or your CSS - whichever one you prefer, adjust the padding according to your liking:
    padding-left: 5px;
    There is no need to add the same photo from your quick facts to the pictures section, visitors have already seen that photo. It's a waste of space, and pointless. Either have another photo there or remove it. Also with the photos, there's so much spacing between each photo and drags the page out making it seem untidy and badly positioned, you should have equal spacing amongst the photos.
    Pet dragons? If you're going to have that there, don't bombard that space with so many Adopt one today! links, it's pointless and crowd up the area. Split it up or name each link as something else. They also point to a broken page by the way.

    Electric - Everything looks fairly normal here; I like how you've included small descriptions for each of your past layouts. On your "Apply for Affiliation" page, towards the bottom you've type this "Put the title As AFFILIATION", there is no need for the "As" to be capitalised.

    Button URL: (Not required)

    If your button URL is not required why is it there? Instead, why not write "Optional" next to it as an alternative. It will make more sense as to why the button URL is there.

    Visitor - Interesting, I was expecting to find the usual things most people have as their content for example, blends (I find this one pointless), brushes, icons etc. but you haven't; your content seems a lot more original and in-depth.

    Any textures or images that I didn't make, are credited to their owners.

    Noooo, you mustn't write this. If there are textures and images you didn't make you must actually credit the original owners and/or link to your credits page, you cannot "just write credit to their owners". Say if your hardwork was taken and someone credited it as "belongs to their owners" or something of the like, you wouldn't like that would you. People will have no idea who the "owners" are. Though you've also written,

    This stuff is made/written by me.

    so why would you still have,

    Any textures or images that I didn't make, are credited to their owners.

    . Either remove that or add it to your disclaimer/credits.

    I'm absolutely hating the blockquote, it looks plain, too dull and especially with the use of a larger font, it seems as if no styling was put into it in comparison with the rest of your layout.

    Your content is very well organised, and visitors can find they're way around easily, most of the colours found on your layout match with everything. In my opinion I would have added more spacing to the end of your disclaimer as it seems too close to the browser if your content area is small and makes it look as if it's been cut off but that's just me. After having said all that - you have a pretty good site and has potential once your errors fixed up.

    Hi, I'm Emily and I'll be reviewing your site today in Safari 4 with a resolution of 1280 by 800. I'm going to be digging through your coding style.

    I adore your layout, it looks vintage and interesting. But I do not think that your CSS works with it. Like I said I think the style looks vintage, and your CSS looks far from it. I think that if you took the background off and changed the headers a bit it would look ten times better.

    By changing the text style and colouring I think you could make the different styles match together better. I think that your text style looks completely default, it looks like it had been thrown together quickly.

    Also I think by changing the positioning of the sidebar and content headers it would also change a lot. By bringing the sidebar up just to have a little bit of contrast.

    It might look nice to bring in more of the blue and green colours instead of the purples and pinks, since I see more calm colours in the layout then others.

    I like that I can read everything easily, but your sidebar kinda' throws me off. The twitter bit is off to me, some of the text sticks out into your background which doesn't look so good. To me it looks like theres missing pieces as well; stuff like, a disclaimer some bits about your layout and maybe a little about yourself. But those are just ideas, other then that your sidebar looks really clean.

    With your footer with all the information about how many pages of CuteNews there are and such look miss-matched since it doesn't have the background like the other pieces of the sidebar and content bar.

    I gave you three stars, because I adore your layout, it's styled well and is nice to look at, but your coding is so off in my opinion. :D

    I'm reviewing your website using Firefox 3.0.6 on Ubuntu 8.10.

    Overall I really enjoyed visiting your website. The design is aesthetically pleasing and the layout is simple. Simple is almost always good and it benefits you well in this case. You also embraced the use of Twitter, which is a great idea to help add content to your website and to get your name out.

    It seems that you are active in your blog and that should help bring readers. You also give an adequate description of what exactly your website is supposed to be about. That is very important and too easily overlooked by many people.

    Your header image is very engaging and it draws me in. I think it fits the page well and adds a lot to your design. One thing that might help the load time of your page is separating the header image from the background texture itself. Then make a background texture image of 100px X 100px and just set it to repeat. If you have that capability on your CMS then it would definitely speed up the loading.

    I like how you have the pet dragons on your "Emily" page :)

    One thing that kind of threw me of with your navigation is that the "home" link is at the bottom of the list. It might just be me, but I think that most people are used to the home link being the first in a list so it's easy to recognize where you are currently when you visit a website for the first time. You might ponder the benefits of switching that order around a little bit.

    The "Affiliates" section is a great idea. People love when you link to them. But it's a little difficult to navigate through because of the 2-column approach. There is not a clear division between the two columns and so it looks a little odd and makes it difficult to read the links.

    Hi, I shall review your site, using FF, and windows Vista, although I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

    First Impression
    You’re site takes a while to load, I did check that I had nothing download etc, I also checked other sites, but it was just yours, perhaps it your host? Or the layout? I’m not sure. The colours make it easy to read (Well for me anyhow..)

    Layout
    Your header is really nice, I think it’s very pretty, not too big or small, just right. I don’t like the layout of the site much, I think it’s the gray, a bit too much perhaps? Although it has a textured background which is good. I just think it needs a little more colour.

    Pages
    Emily
    Good info here, I suck personally at writing about myself, I wish I could describe myself that well! For a 14 year old you seem pretty mature, using big words and such. Keep it up!
    Not sure if it’s meant to be like this, but your list bullets are out of line with the layout, I have never seen anything like that before, (then again I haven’t been on the internet scene all that long) So to me it’s quite different. It’s not ugly either. I was just wondering if you knew…
    electric
    Site info in other words, very nice, simple history of how you started etc, well put together.
    I like the “Inspiration & Love”. Credits.. well it’s credits. :P I like to see people to direct link to the creditors instead of “Google”
    Visitor
    photography
    Wow, lots of photos here! Very nice collection. ARGH! How did you get the lytbox to work? It wouldn’t work on my site! 
    Light Textures/Stock
    Very nice, I never understood textures etc, I’ve never had to use them, although I want to soon, to see what they actually do, I may try out yours some time. Of Corse with credit given.
    For me, they load at the bottom of the page, took me awhile to work it out, is that meant to happen? or?
    Articles etc
    Very well written, good ideas put across, or very valid points made. Good work.

    All in all. I liked it.  I think your site is very well put together, aside from the layout, I love everything about it. Keep it up

    Hello, I'm Tuly and I will most likely reviewing your site's appearances, since I feel graphics is my strong point.

    The Appearance - The header it self is very beautiful. I love the way it looks, and it looks very original to me. However, the code does not match up with the original header.
    A suggestion: Instead of putting everything in the blocks/box, maybe you should leave the nav. transparent? Also, change the font & size of the links?

    Also:

    CREDIT IS REQUIRED IF YOU USE ANY IN YOUR WORK.

    That's a no-no. Say that in a clam way.
    "Please credit if used." Or "Credit is required, if used."
    No caps, use bold or underlines, but not caps.
    Since I am, as of now a 'visitor' of your site, I honestly do not have the urge to use the textures.

    & Right now, I'm using FF3, and when I click on the textures it makes me scroll ALL THE WAY down, to view the textures...
    I guess your layout is made only for IE? o_0

    Overall, I love the header, the code needs to be worked on to make your layout look 'complete'.

    Emileh's Response:

    (: Thank you,
    I am trying to fix the problems with the textures that are occuring- that isn't meant to happen, but it happens to me too (I use FF3 also) but I think that somewhere in the Lightbox coding something's gone wrong, and I am trying to fix it. (:

    I'm going to review your site today:).
    Site Name
    Electric isn't the most original name I ever seen but it works:)
    First Impression
    Your layout is pretty simple but original.You used too much tons of gray, in my opinion. Your tables are simple.
    Coding and Validation
    You Css isn't valid and have 4 errors and your HTML have 14 Errors, 23 warnings. try to validate them:)
    browser compatibility and resolution
    Your layout isn't compatible with all resolutions. In 800x600 you have that ugly scroolbar in bottom of your browser. Try to use containers. Your site looks pretty good in all browsers:).
    content
    Emily page is very explanatory. I love reading facts no a long story:). Extra points for this.
    Electric page Looks good. I see you credited the persons from where you used resources and it's a good thing. I think you should add pages like: link button, terms of conditions, advertising, affiliates, past layouts etc.
    visitor I love your photos. Nature inspire us to make art. Your textures looks pretty cool too. I took a look at your articles and I just love them/ You inspired me write some:). I like the last one. Many people use this phrase "No offense but...", I prefer people that tell me the truth without these words. I not be offense. I can correct my errors no?I love your "I miss" poem. The story is very cool too. Your reviews are nice too.
    Overall
    Your site is pretty cool. You have a content for people that love reading. I think you should add more graphics in your content and maybe some tutorials. Your site page needs more pages. Maybe you'll decide to use containers and validate your website coding and Css.Maybe you'll add more photographs because you are a good photographer and more textures:). It's all that I can advice you for the moment.

    Hey, I'm Bridgette :) I'll be reviewing your site in Google Chrome.
    First Impressions: Love your layout. It's unique, and I love the textures and everything you used. One thing that was a bit off, was that since the header image is a little small, having that big of sidebox/mainbox looks odd. I suggest making each a little smaller in width.
    Layout: As I said before, Love it :) The CSS is a bit... boring. And I'm not sure where you got that dark blue from; try pulling a color out of your header image for the css.

    Note: There's a gap between the Twitter header and the words under it.

    Emily: There's a lot of information here, but nothing stupid. Except... Dragons? Not sure what they're there for, but hey if you like dragons.. x) Oh, and I love how you name some of your electronics XD
    Electric: Ugh, like you said, it's a very common name xb But, I do like it :) One thing I'd like to see is some past layouts! You're on version 11, so you should have quite a few.

    I loved Deception, but sadly, bot long ago,

    Just letting you know about 'bot'.. I think it maybe is supposed to be but? Google..isn't a resource. So i'd take that off. Google is a search engine you use to find sites to use resources from.
    Visitor: Graphics:: Not much here. The textures look nice, but I can't see them cause for some reason the links won't open.. >:/ Could just be my computer, though.
    Your articles are good, I like them :) After reading some tips, I think I might add some articles to my site. Hehe, nice warning about the swearing x) Overall, nice content. You're a good writer.

    Keep up all the great work :)

    Hi! I'm Farah, and I'll be reviewing you today. I'm here to dissect your site's layout, spelling, and grammar to within an inch of its life - but no worries, I don't bother with coding. I'm viewing your site in Safari, on Mac.

    LAYOUT-
    I love the header. I think it's cute - the colors are nice, and that vintage-y style you used is adorable. However, the rest of your layout isn't amazing. The white sort of clashes with your gray background. Maybe use a lighter shade of gray? And since your header is so small, your sidebar/content look a little awkward. I think you should make the header bigger, so that it's properly aligned with the rest of your content. Also, there are so many nice colors in your layout, yet your CSS is so bland! It could use a little spicing up - the reds, greens, blues, and yellows in your layout are definitely underused. Make your links a different color! Make them change color when you hover over them! Make a different colored page title! There are so many things you could do with all the colors, and yet you have mainly blues, blacks, and grays. Your content all needs padding; the text is stuck to the edges of your boxes. Also, your line height could be increased. The lines are all stuck together now! Last thing about your layout, I swear - your page headings/blog titles, all that stuff, should be bigger, I think.

    EMILY-
    Why? Why the dragons? Why must you start your about me page with dragons? As far as I know, you are not a dragon, nor will you ever be a dragon. So just move them to the bottom. And maybe put a short paragraph of explanation as to why you put them since it's sort of... random.

    I'm Emily, and I'm having my first day of school in nearly four years. That's pretty good, eh?

    Uh... what? That makes no sense, to be honest. Why are you having your first day of school in nearly four years? If you haven't explained it, you should, and if you've explained it further down - well, who says anyone's going to bother reading that far? Explanation at the top, please. (:

    "I'm very opinionated, but more often than not if I think it will offend I keep schtum." Keep schtum? I'm going to guess that this means keep silent, but you really should change it - if you're going to use slang, make sure it's easily understandable slang and not words that you, in your specific area of the world, like to use.

    The rest of your "Emily" page is good. You have great taste in music, and I like your random facts! (Alexisonfire ftw - that's where I got my username from! Haha.)

    SITE-
    Not much to say about this page. Everything's pretty standard, although "Then I got onto the Harry Potter fan scene, and I made loads of cool friends, who taught me HTML, and I made a brand new site, for Harry Potter which I coded myself." would sound better as "Then I got onto the Harry Potter fan scene. I made loads of cool friends who taught me HTML; I made a brand new Harry Potter fansite, which I coded myself." (Yeah, I'm a nitpicker for grammar! Haha.) And there's no need to define "electric" - we all know what it means! Lmfao.

    VISITOR-
    "because it's just for you little dino's out there" = "Because it's just for you little dinos out there!", although I think you should take this sentence out altogther. It's sort of pointless. All your photography's quite nice, although I think you should make all the thumbnails the same size, because currently it looks a little messy. Also, capitalize every word in your article titles. (:

    In your article "Tips For Your Blog", "proffessional" = "professional". And by the way, I really like articles - your tips are actually worth reading, and they're very helpful.

    In the article "What Makes A Good Site?": "You'd think people would learn.. But Nooooo.." = "You'd think people would learn... but nooooo." And also, the section about writing you have: it pwns. I love it. I agree with your opinion totally. (:

    In the article about celebrity images - I agree with you, honestly. All this shit about copyright laws and whatnot is just so intense. I mean, so you used a celebrity photo. It's not as if the photographer's going to find you and sue you - worst case scenario, you'll be forced to take it down. Big whoop. ANYWAYS (: Your last few paragraphs are major run-on sentences. "I mean, if you can take and use a brush in your layouts, and it's fine as long as it's nicely credited to whoever made it, why shouldn't it be okay to use a celebrity image, but credit it to the photographer, just like you'd do with anything that you hadn't made yourself, such as a texture, or maybe a stock image." = "I mean, you can take and use a brush in your layouts - it's fine as long as it's nicely credited to whoever made it. So why shouldn't it be okay to use a celebrity image but credit it to the photographer? It's what you'd do with anything that you hadn't made yourself, such as a texture, or maybe a stock image."

    and

    "I don't understand the ruckuss if I'm honest, but I personally would rather not get the flack for it, and have tried to stop using celebrity images as best I can, and will keep trying in the future, my only advice to anyone who wants to use a celebrity image is to be careful." = "I don't understand the ruckus to be honest, but I personally would rather not get the flack for it. I've tried to stop using celebrity images as best I can, and will keep trying in the future. My only advice to anyone who wants to use a celebrity image is to be careful."

    Your "No Offense, But..." article makes me laugh. I agree with you, lmfao, and I like how you were careful to warn that you were going to swear. That's good. I should learn from you, or maybe I simply shouldn't swear as much. ^_^

    There's not much to say about your stories/fiction, other than that I think they're great. Personally, I love "What Did I Do?" I think it's very realistic and dramatic. All in all, I just like that one. (:

    I'm not going to review your reviews because... well, that would be pointless.

    SUMMARY-
    Basically, what I think you need to do is clean up your layout a little, work on fixing those run-on sentences, and explain some of the things that don't make sense. Your content is great - there's lots of things to read and keep your visitors entertained. If you keep adding more, people will come back to see it.

    I know I will.

    (:

    Hey there, I'm Niki and I'll be reviewing your site today on a Mac using Firefox.

    First Impressions
    Your site is taking a long time to load for me, but it might be my stupid internet. Ah, there we go. Hm, this is pretty cool. I like the colours you've chosen, and the header image. Your site is compatible in Firefox, good job! Your font is easy to read as well, another plus.

    Layout
    As I said before, I really like this header image, especially the buttons. Good job! Your content boxes, however, could use some more padding.
    WOAH.

    I found this little guy above your sidebar in your coding. You could easily use this in your CSS, like this:
    #sidebar {
    position: absolute;
    left: 200px;
    top: 350px;
    width: 200px;
    padding: 3px;
    }

    It's just easier and it cleans up your sidebar page.
    Or, what I strongly suggest is that you center the whole thing.
    #container {
    width: WIDTH;
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding-top: whatever;
    }

    Then float your sidebar and content to their sides.
    #sidebar {
    width: whatever;
    float: left;
    padding: 5px;
    }
    #content {
    width: whatever;
    float: right;
    padding: 5px;
    }

    There you go.
    Okay, moving on.
    In your navigation, you should change the text colour to white or a light grey when you hover over it, so it's easier to read on the dark blue background. Also, in your blogs, you might want to make the date directly under the title, instead of centering it.
    Alright, everything else looks great! :) Oh, hold on. Your "welcome" box seems to be your "about me" box as well. You should make separate boxes for your welcome message and your about me blurb.

    Content
    Emily Okay. The first thing that I see here are the dragons you have. You should probably put these under your description, since this is about you, not the dragons, right?
    "I'm dead bored, and this page needs re-writing, so while I have the time I might as well."
    Yeah. Probably not a good idea to start off like that. You should probably just delete this whole paragraph.
    "...same say my mum turned twenty-seven..." Change say to day.
    The rest looks pretty good, I like how you have a lot of information here about yourself. It shows that you actually took time out of your life to write a lot about yourself. Good job!

    Electric Nothing really to say here. Good job on keeping your history lengthy, but not too lengthy. You have a lot of good credits here, too. Nice work!

    Visitor YES. I was expecting your visitor content to be full of celebrity images and things like that (no offense), but nope!
    Oh, I just realized something. You don't need the "Home" link on your pages, because you have one on your navigation.
    Anyways.
    Gah. Your pages take a long time to load, and I think it's because of your twitter, which has to load before your content does. Just saying.
    Ooh, nice photography. Good job! Although, you have everything as links from photobucket. I suggest that you upload all your images onto your ftp, in a separate folder,, just in case photobucket goes down, and you lose everything. You can still have them on photobucket as a backup, but it would be better if your upload them to your home folder.
    Also, your older photography are not linked to lightbox, like the newer stuff.
    I also suggest reducing the size of your previews for your older stuff, to reduce loading time.
    Your Light Textures/Stocks section is amazing. I can't make textures for my life! Good work!
    Hm, your Celebrity Images article is interesting. I agree with you - if there's no image to work with, then it's definitely harder to get inspiration to make a layout. BUT it also increases your creativity, and help you practice for future stuff. You could also use your own photography, which I do a lot. I also agree with you, what's the big deal? If the photographer puts the photos up there without a copyright, then we should be able to use them. Oh well. Maybe it'll be okay some day.
    Okay, this is getting seriously annoying. Your twitter is slowing everything down. It takes forever to load your content.
    Your story, "I miss..." starts out like this:
    "By me! I wrote this a while ago, now I post it! YAY"
    Yeah. "This story is written by me. It was written a while ago." would have been better.
    Awe, that's cute. I like it.
    Hey, I have the Fall Out Boy album. It's alright. Good review. :)

    Conclusion
    Well, looks like we're at the end of the review! You need to fix on some minor errors, but overall, you did a pretty good job. Good luck in the future!

    Hey! :] I am Allie, and I will be reviewing you site today in Firefox with a resolution of 1280 by 800.

    First Impressions.
    Your layout is cute and simple. The colors are not too bright or dull. The words are easy to read.

    Site Name / URL
    Your site name is short and simple. However, I have been to many sites with "electric" in their site URLs maybe next time you can go for something a bit more unique. :]

    Layout.
    I love the header picture. It's simple, yet there's something pretty about it. I love the sparks of colors you put in, it makes the header more noticeable. The white on the "scratchy" background isn't too hard on the eyes, and you've chosen great colors for the CSS.

    Content.
    Well, since your site is personal, I won't be expecting much graphics and what not.
    Visitor - I'm pleased to see that even though your site is a personal one, you still have things for the visitors to view and read.
    Photography - You are a great photographer! The photos are wonderful. :D
    Light Textures / Stocks. - You have a variety of textures for people to choose from. Great!
    Articles - I agree with your "No offense, but.. " article. It's true many people do that, and I have done that several times, too.
    Fictions / Stories - The first one is sort of like a poem, it's nice. You are a good writer, too!
    Reviews - Just your opinions on several movies, albums, etc.
    Emily - A bio about yourself. You have a lot of "faves" lists. It's a great way for visitors to get to know you better.
    Electric - The history of how Electric came to be. It seems almost everyone starts out with Piczo or Freewebs.

    Organization / Creativity.
    It's well organized, and you definitely have creativity. You articles were well written, and your visitor's page was also well organized.

    Overall comment.
    You have a great site, and lots of talent. You have a fair amount of content for your visitors, considering your site is personal. Keep up the great work! :D
