As you know Rigrag had some problems and my site was deleted. I had to start all over and I don't have any content. I'm waiting your reviews and hope you'll help me to be a better designer.

Hmmm well already it doesn't display for me correctly in fact I can barely navigate.

I like your color scheme but that bright white... sparkley type thing is really TOO bright. I think you should either make some other parts of your layout light or get rid of that. Cause it hurts my eyes looking at it against all the darkness. Maybe change the purple text on your headers too to something easier to read against that background.

That lighter "glow" behind your clover looks bad, it should be a lighter purple if anything but I think it would just be best to do away with it completely. I do like most of it though, I'm more partial to dark layouts like this.

I'm not sure what is causing this issue on your site, I looked at your code and ran it through the validator and nothing was wrong with it.

    Moving on to the content.
The about page is nice, it's pretty complete too. Hey you and I have the same name except mine is spelled with a K. hehe You have plenty of info about yourself and the site so I really don't have any suggestions for this section. Wait I lied I do have one, re-order the links. Make the link about you go first and then order them from most important to least.

Noice ask and answer, I like seeing these...what script do you use? I have been looking for a good one to implement on my site.

Content! You have articles...I like this. There aren't many, add more! But you do have interesting topics. The downloads are nice, I really like your pixel smilies. Nice work on those. Ehm your Bullets page has the title of Brushes, might wanna fix that. Come to think about it... all your pages in this section say Brushes. It's still overlaying into your main navigation so that's why I didn't notice it at first.

Reviews are a nice way to get your visitor involved and you have some pretty complete ones, I like that you save a screencap of the site too. So nice work on that.
Oh and typo in your right column "top affialiates".

Overall I liked your site, it has a fair amount of content and most of it is pretty interesting. Your blog entries are nice and interesting too. You just need to work a little bit on a few layout errors and watch your spelling, and keep adding articles! Maybe add a section for debates... like post your views and opinions and leave those pages open for comment. Just another idea to get your visitors more involved with the site.

    Visual:
Like a lot of sites, it looks unfinished. Is the background supposed to be gray? Can't say what would look better, maybe black? The other colors are refreshingly different though. Titles and navigation links are generally too big. My IE and Opera seem to have a unique problem with relative font sizes, but I tested your site with Firefox and it looks the same. Mohamad in Affiliates doesn't align with the bullet. There is a lot of room to the left, so reduce margin and/or padding of the list. On some pages (eg. website tutorials), text is glued to heading. This can be fixed by adjusting either heading line-height or margin, or paragraph margin. <title></title> is empty on most pages.

    Content:
Since you said you lost most of your stuff, I won't go into this too much. Out of the things you have, the best thing I saw was PSP scripts. I use Photoshop actions (basically the same) and they're really useful. I like the Ask Me -part. Too bad all the english questions are dumb :) But one seems right - your layout and one of your templates look like they've been "inspired" by other sites. Is it supposed to say Asnwer and not Answer? Noticed another lone error: These templates works (work, are designed to work etc.) in all resolutions & browsers.

    Coding:
Index page validates, but with some warnings. You are using xhtml code in html. It should be <br> and not of <br />. I checked another page, and you also forgot to add alt="" to image tags.

    UPDATED 25 Feb 09:
Firefox screenshot. I haven't used tables in a while so can't say for sure if it helps, but you could change the table tag like this: <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

The easier way would be to make plain links or list add a background with CSS.

    hey cristina!

firstly, thank for the review on my site, i appreciate it very much.
however, let's move to your site :)

    layout:

i don't really like the colors you used, but i guess it's your personal taste and i have no right to talk into it :D however, i would change the colors of the links in your right column, because it doesn't look good [to me] combinated with the orange/green/pink.
i really like yout header, tho, even the colors look kinda weird to me, it's looks really really retro, don't you think? :) and i like the font you used, i use it a lot, too, and the way you used it.

    content:

you said you don't have much of a content up right now due to some problems with your previous host (i guess), so i won't talk about that much.

however, let's talk about things you already have up.
i like the ask me category, because it's easy to reach you when you need something.
you also have the domain section up, good work. it's always nice to read about the history of the site you're viewing at the moment. but if i were you, i would move the links you have there (advertising, affiliates, linkback, ...) into your column, to have it in one place. it's easier to find something. i, for example, spent quite a time by searching for some information about you :)

and you also have a few goodies and tutorials up, so - good work, again!!

    overall:

i really like your site. i would change few things (layout colors, for example), and maybe i would highline something in the text (for exp. in your "about me" section) - it makes it easier to read for me. but you have a very good site and i wish you luck in the future!

    keep it up!

Hey there, I'm Niki and I'll be reviewing your site today on a Mac using the latest version of Firefox.

    First Impressions
Ooh, this is cool. I'm liking this header already. Your site didn't take very long to load, which is a plus, and it is compatible in Firefox, too. Good job! I see that your blog is tips for a good hit-getting site. Maybe I'll read it later, as I need more hits myself! You say that you change your layout every week, though. Geesh, that would be nearly impossible for me. I don't have the time, aha!

    Layout
I like this header image a lot. The colours are great, and I love the whole boxes thing. Your site name is very easy to read as well, which is great. Nice work! Very creative. Your navigation is also very easy to read, because it is so large. Extra points for that, too :)
You might want to consider on putting more padding on your content. Otherwise, your text is very easy to read. Oh, I noticed that your bolded text is not the same size as the normal text, you should consider changing it to be the same size. Your footer would look a lot better if the background wasn't so similar to the yucky grey background colour of your page, maybe change it to the black in the header image, and make the text white?
Everything else here looks good, good work!

    Content
Ask Me Nothing really to say here, just a basic Ask Me page. I do like this question, though: "Question:Your last purple layout looked like ohpanics and the header on this one looks like swimchicks header"
Thats sort of funny. Someone clearly wants to start some e-drama.

Domain Ooookay. So your "story" isn't very interesting, no offense. It just sounds like you were really bored when you wrote it. You also don't have very much information here, maybe you could add more? Like, what was your piczo site called, or your subdomain? Why were you tired of piczo? Etc.
Ooh, paid advertising. Have you had anyone put their site up yet?
Wow, you have a lot of affiliates. Good job on the organization of this page.
Oh, the credits page is also neatly organized, good job. What's the "spelling errors" section? Did these people tell you that you had a spelling error? Because if that's the case, then I don't think they need too much credit there, ha.
Ooookay. Your "Crisitina" section should NOT be in the "domain" section of your site. Since it's about you, you should have it as a separate section in your navigation. What if someone wanted to know about you, but there was no link? I don't think they would have even thought of looking in the domain section, because, well, that section is mostly for your site information, not about you! Otherwise, this section is fine, good job on the length, opposed to your domain section. Wow, you're pretty. Just saying. :)
Ha! Your "Link Back" section took a while to load for me, and it turns out that you just have one button. This shouldn't be it's own section, if you only have one. So, either take it out and put it right in your domain section, or make more buttons. If you make more buttons, I suggest that you make a variety of sizes, instead of just 88 x 31.

Tutorials Gah, you don't have very much here. Hopefully you'll be adding more soon?
I do like how you've added layout tutorials for both Photoshop and PSP.
Eesh. I'm reading the layout tutorial for Photoshop, and, no offense, but this isn't really a layout. A few wavy lines...hm. I think that you should rename this tutorial to "Wavy Line Tutorial" or something like that? Because this is hardly a layout.
Oh geez. It's the exact same thing for your PSP layout tutorial. Try including variety in your tutorials section, otherwise don't have it at all, and just put the tutorials into your "resources" section or something.
But I do like that the images you used to explain the tutorial steps didn't take long to load for me. So nice work on that part!

Resources Oh, good, you have more stuff in here.
Your brushes are, uhm...interesting. Kind of plain, but whatever. Good job anyways.
Okay, I've clicked on the coded layouts link and the final result is...
    YES! NO CELEBRITY LAYOUTS!!
    Extra points for you.
Some of these previews took a while to load, however. These are all pretty good layouts, except for the "I love you <3" one, no offense. Other than that one, these are very nice. I see that you've used your "layout #1 tutorial" in your "I miss you" layout.
Your previews for your PSP scripts took a while to load as well. Good job on not using celebrity images here as well, as most would.
Ha, your web icons are cute. I'm not very good at making those kind of things, except for emoticons. I love those :)
Oh, your website templates are different. I've never seen anyone offer these before...hm. Interesting concept, I guess. Nothing else really to say about them.
WOAH. That is a LOT of bullets. They took a bit long to load, but they're pretty good. I like the little 5 x 5 ones. I like that you've made a variety in sizes, too.
So what I don't get is that you can take the time to make a bunch of button bases, yet you cannot make more than one button for your own site? Ha, that's funny. Good job on these, though. Try to make a variety of sizes other than 88 x 31.
Oh, these layout bases are pretty good, I guess. I like the colours. Maybe try to make some that aren't on a black background, though? Some people don't like that as much. I don't know, variety usually means more hits, and more people using your stuff.

    Coding
Your site is valid! Congrats! Your coding seems good, good work.

    Conclusion
Well, your site overall was pretty well done. Remember: variety is key. Just fix some minor errors, and you'll be pretty good. Good luck in the future!
