Breakthrough Designs is a graphic website that specializes in Avatar: the Last Airbender graphics. I need to see this site in different views so that I can continue to improve on it, as well this site is not living up to being a "breakthrough". Please critique coding and graphics. =] Just a heads up, my site has different skins.

    LAYOUT:
    Version 21//Power's Out
    You can see a lot of messy blending on this layout. The images you used look low quality. I do like the water-like texture you used. The way you made the circular water ripples really go well with the overall theme. I suggest you reduce the scattering of the glitter, which is placed on the sides of your layout, because the tiny scatter makes it look as if the quality of the image has been reduced.
    Coding for Version 21:
    What bothers me the most is your navigation. You made boxes around your links but there are no spaces between them, which makes it look very unappealing. I suggest you remove the borders or place a padding/margin code in your css. I also suggest you change your header's font to a smoother font, like Arial or Tahoma. I also advice you to choose your colors carefully when it comes to CSS coding. Chose colors that compliment the layout and the background. (Try to avoid pixel stretch when making your table background, it really changes the quality of the layout.)

    Rebirth 15//Can't Help but Wait//Katara
    The same thing as the previous layout for the glitters. The banner itself looks nice, but when you put it to a layout, it all becomes very messy. I suggest you use one color to outline the layout. I see that you used white as the overall border and a light blue as the navigation divider. These are little details but they make a great difference in how the overall layout looks like. All and all, your banner looks great but your website template needs a bit of cleaning up.
    Coding for Rebirth 15:
    I'm using firefox with a 1056x864 resolution. I see that there is a vertical line on the left side of the background. Your sub-headers are way too thin. They're almost touching the text. And again, I advice your to choose your colors carefully.

    Version 26// Long Feng
    This is one of the best layout on your site. I feel that you have put in a great deal of work into it. I love the colors, but the transition from the background picture and the main picture (the image of Zuko and two others) is poorly blended. You can see that it goes from light to then dark with no transitioning color. Other than that everything else looks great.
    Coding for Long Feng:
    The same advice as the rest. I can tell you use the same CSS style for all your layouts.

    OVERALL:
    Your graphic is very unique. I like the way you use your texture and brushes. Your blending skills are there, you just need to learn how to compliment the actual image and the blend you have created. You have great designing ability. But you must work on choosing your colors carefully when making the CSS file. The navigation is a bit messy but other than that you have a great site.

    My first impression: The header is quite big. Your links are impressive. Your designs are high quality.
    Layout: A simple, basic, layout will always do the thing. In your case, the layout is very dark. I, myself prefer a lighter layout. Would that be better? The rest seems OK. I like your background! It really goes with the layout:).
    Links: OMG! I love your navigations links! So unique! It P e r f e c t l y matches with your designs, layout and content! The rest seems ok, it is just that, the dividers page link is broken. oh, just to wonder.. I do not know why you have 'neopets' on your navigation links, unless it is a neopet website.

    Content: Pretty original content for me, but jus make sure you credit picture you found on google. INcluding drawing, which I am sure you DID.
    Is your website viewable... for..?: I had browsed your content and I would recommend you, NO BAD CONTENT!! Seriously, if you want your website to be viewable for young children, [which i am pretty sure] it is best to not have bad content. Watch your avatars;espically.
    Quality: Pretty high quality graphics. You wouldn't want a website with low quality.
    Blog: I like how you use CUTENEWS in your index page. It is much neater.
    Organization: Everything seems OK-ish to find. It is sometimes difficult, but mostly it is pretty easy.
    Skins: WOW! I like how you have skins. Your points always goes up for that! .. nice skins!
    Overall Impression: YOur site is wonderful, but as you know, there is always a way for you to improve;; [ex. your graphics] Pretty nice quality website!
    Mark: I would rate your website about 3 and half star, as you see... but many ask why? There must be a reason and here is why:
    If you read above, the organization is simply OK-ish, as well as your layout. I think you mainly should improve on those.
    Those were just my opinion, so don't be mad about anything. I will frequintly review your website again, and I will be sure to watch for improvement! It had been a pleasure reviewing your website! Keep it up!!

    Wow, I am speechless. The layout is amazing. I love the colours, the cartoon image, and the coding. So far, it's an amazing website.

    Design:
    When I first saw your new "spring" design, I adored it. Gold and green is not a combination you see around a lot, which makes your site beautifully unique. I think perhaps that the green headers are a little too powerful, but the gold one is divine <3

    Another litle point which bugs me, in your vertical navigation - on the right side - the header you've made for it appears to cut off at the top. The gold swirly has an ugly cut off near the top. I'm sure this can be fixed easily, and it's not a major problem... just kind of annoys me, that's all =p hehe.

    Layout:
    As for the navigation issue which Jen mentioned, I don't see it. Your top navigation is easy to see - as that's where a users' eyes will travel first - and ridiculously easy to navigate. Only a seasoned graphical website user who's *purely* looking for icons / banners / resouces will immediately look to the navigation bar on the side; but even then you can quickly realise it's at the top.

    I do have one little peave though >< You see underneath your horizontal navigation bar at the top? Beneath it I can just make out a faded green bar. From what I can tell, it only actually appears *after* you've already used the navigation bar. This' probably a coding issue more than a graphical one, but it looks a little unproffessional if there's a green bar across your main design.

    Also, perhaps your right-side vertical navigation bar is just a little bit too long? Considering that you only have 2 relatively small updates on your main page, but a super long navigation, leaving a lot of empty space. Perhaps try and make your updates larger, or add more to the page to eradicate the white space?

    Hmm not much more I can think of to say at the moment x) I'm sorry if I've been a little harsh, I usually just speak my mind in these kind of things =( Don't hate me lovely afi!

    Layout
    Now about the layout, it is really different from what I see everyday. Actually better then what I see from time to time. But I think the designs in the header distracts me from reading the content below it.

    Navigation
    At first its a little confusing considering the fact there are two types of navigation. When I mean two I mean one on the top and the one on the side. But then I realized the second one on the side was links that were for the site and not for the designs like the on the top. So, thant made me quite confused. I didn't even know there was a nagigation bar on the top.

    Content
    Your graphics are absoulutly amazing. You are very talented. I'm not a big fan of the show the Avatar but by looking at those wallpapers I makes me want to use them. And the your resources and other graphics are pretty good too.

    I know it was a pretty short review but I must be going so I will continue tomrrow with the coding. But overall, I will give your site a 4 because of your graphics and layout. Also, navigation.

    Thank you for the review even if it is a partial one!!! I really appreciate it. I take it there is too much going on in the header and it may be too big? None of the site users have mentioned the navigation being confusing, but I do see your point. I'll see if I can try making the top navigation more noticeable. As well, the site has different skin layouts, it's located on the right hand navigation towards the bottom. So there is always a choice of which types of navigation to use.
