This is my design/personal site that I have been running since about January 09. I know that my site is nothing extrordinary, and my designs aren't that great, but I'm always trying to improve, and would appreciate your input. :)

    At first glance, the layout rocks. The image is gorgeous and the color scheme is nice, too. The whole layout ties in with the sunset theme. Sunrise? Sunset? I'm going with sunset, haha. And you took the image yourself, I noticed. That's really an amazing photograph, well done there.
    The font you used for your site name is really pretty, but for some reason it looks way too big right there. It almost takes away from the actual photograph.

    You've got gorgeous hair! You actually look like two different people on the two pictures on your owner page! This page is well written and you give a lot of information here. I feel like I've really gotten to know you from reading that bit. However, why would anyone need to comment on this page? I think you could probably go ahead and get rid of that comment form.
    You have a very detailed history on your "about the site" page. Well organized, nice job.
    Your credits page is put together well, too.

    --Portfolio--
    Your photographs are amazing! I'd love to see more of these.

    --Resources--
    Your brushes are nice, but the previews are kind of hard on the eyes. Too many bright colors going on there.
    Your smilies are cute, but they are the same kind I've seen on a million other sites. Not very creative or unique. Maybe you could add some in different shapes - like cupcakes or soccer balls...?
    Your textures are very creative, though. I like them a lot.

    In conclusion, you've got a pretty nice little site here so far. There weren't many things on your site that didn't appeal to me. I'd say add a few more photographs to your portfolio and get more creative with your resources. Good luck!

    Wow, another person who likes my layout! I will keep the font size in mind for the next one, but I will definetly work on the navigation CSS.

    I get what you mean about the brushes. If I get time, I will probably make some new preveiws. I'm also going to add more photos, since those seem popular.

    Ressources Great! I love ressources! An Aawesome thing to have on a site that brings lots of visitors. Brushes are very great, I see you have lots of them. It's very good. Smilies are very original too, not that much of people have them and they're very pleasant to use. It's another great ressource to bring people to your site. Textures, another page that takes ages to load. Most of your textures are very cute.

    Overall Your site has a lot of potential and you're very good to make ressources. You should add more variated content to your site. And also, you shouldn't use a code to put your graphics as thumbnails, you should directly make the thumbnail in photoshop or paint shop pro. The thumbnail would look so much better and it would be faster to load.

    I will definetly make thumbnails today then, they look better as links anyway.

    First Impression
    The first thing that I thought of when I went to your site is 'plain'. It needs a little umph to it. You could possibly add a background to your header or something like that. And also, the colors don't match well. They could, just try a few different shades of the colors you've got going on. It's good that your site doesn't hurt anyone's eyes, but you also don't want someone to just view your layout and leave. I tend to do that when I find a boring site. (Not suggesting your site is boring, it's just the first impression of the layout.)

    Layout/Design
    To just put it bluntly, your blog section is too small and your sidebar is too big. There's really nothing wrong with the blog, but the fact that your footer is bigger than the blog section just makes the layout look too torn apart.

    I quickly went through your content, it looks pretty good. Your smiles are adorable :)

    Sorry for the short review, it's getting late here. All together though, you've got a good site coming together. You just need to learn a little more about coding and you'll be good to go!

    Thanks! Yeah, I know it's a really boring layout, but a few days ago I had some problems with Wordpress, so I had to re-install it and so I made a quick layout.

    Anyway, thanks for the tips, especially the one on the sidebar. :)

    Your layout is pretty simple, but also very skinny. Your viewers who have large screens will be mad at you! I'd suggest widening that puppy a bit. :)
    You have 16 errors wit your HTML, and the CSS validator couldn't find your stylesheet for some reason. Not really sure how that's possible, unless you were using inline CSS, which you're not.
    Your site didn't take very long to load, which is a plus! Good job on that. :)
    Your site is also compatible in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Looks good in Safari and Opera, too.

    Layout
    As I said, very skinny. Your colour scheme is...weird. I suggest changing the grey background of the content to something else, as the light blue of the headers look strange against it.     Oh, hold on a second! You have a theme switcher! The hallelujah one is great, except the footer is a bit big. Oh man, I really like that bees and flowers one too! Again a bit skinny, but really well done. Your Caribbean one is nicely done, too, except you should change the alignment of the blog headers. I feel like you used to worst-looking layout as your default! No offence, but these other three are a lot better. Consider maybe changing the default?

    Resources I really like how you've put a description underneath the links you have here, bonus points!
    Ah, these brushes are very basic. The roses are good, but the other ones are just shapes/swirls. Maybe try drawing some and scanning them in? Also, inobscuro.com has a good tutorial on how to make brushes from pictures. Check it out! If you get more unique with your brushes, most likely more people will download them.
    Ooh, I like these stocks. Very nice there. Just so this page looks neater, though, you should center them.
    Nice textures, you're good at them. I especially like the light ones. I can't make textures for my life, gah!
    Cute smilies! Try adding some of different sizes and styles as well. :)
    Good section overall, but you need to add more! You are a graphics site, after all! I understand that you just opened in January, though, so I'll let you off the hook, ha. Just keep working at it. :)

    Tutorials Oh. hm. Well, this section is coming soon. You shouldn't have it as a link in your navigation, then, if it's not even available yet! You should probably start that soon, though! I'm interested on what kinds of tutorials you'll put up. Hopefully you know better and won't put up all those generic "Basic HTML" and "Font Colours" and stuff. Try to be more unique with your tutorials. AND only write about things that you are certain you know about. Jem actually has a good article on tutorials. I suggest reading it before you put them up!

    Site You should have more in this section; a site history, etc. Since the link is called "Site" (in the layout I'm using, anyways), you should have things on your SITE. Having information about you is good too, and the credits is great, but take some time to write a bit about the site, too. :)
    Oh, also, you should move the "about me" link above the "credits" link. This is your site, after all.
    Nice credits page. No need for any review on it, it's just basic.
    Nice pictures on the "about" page, I love your hair!
    Speaking of the pictures, you should really put some padding on those babies.

    Cool section, you have a nice writing style. Long, too, which is great. I like reading other people's about me pages.
    Wait a minute, you never told us where you live. I'm guessing the United States, maybe, since you love Obama and want to move to Washington? I don't know, just guessing. :) Not that providing your home country is a must, but I always found it interesting. Especially when I find someone who lives in Canada, like me, and I bombard them with questions on which province, etc.
    I am NOT a creepy stalker. Don't worry.
    Okay, seems like we're done with the content! Off to the conclusion?

    Conclusion
    Overall, you're site is pretty basic. Since you just opened, there's not that much content yet. Just fix the minor things that I mentioned, and you should be fine! Oh, also, PLEASE change your default layout. The other ones are a lot better, and you will definitely get more hits. Also, keep working at your resources section. You put in your site in the Graphics section for a reason, right? Right. :)
    And, on that note, please don't make your site like all the other graphic/tutorial sites out there. Try to be original, think outside the box! Especially with your tutorials, like I mentioned before.

    Woah. Well since this is my first review ever I must say I'm still recovering, but thanks for all the great advice (watch now I'll wake up early tomorrow to work on some of those tutorials), and I will DEFINETLY consider changing the default layout. Also thanks for the spelling tips, I am completley useless at spelling.
