Bottled Sunshine - I like it a lot. It's very cute and unique, so it's a perfect name for a graphic/blog site.First Impression & Layout:
My first impression was that the site was very clean and organized. I really like that the side bar is sectioned off into rounded rectangles; it's visually appealing and gives the site a more professional look. The header is nice as well. The dot pattern is fun but doesn't look messy. The color scheme is bright, but not the kind of bright that makes you want to shield your eyes, so that's good. Of course, the colors go together which is also a definite plus.
The search bar and updates are nice additions to the sidebar, as is the "About" section. It's always nice to read about the webmaster/mistress without searching through pages and pages of the site.
The navigation is well placed and easy to read, although there is one thing that is really bugging me. The "Home" link just seems out of place on the far right side of the menu. Typically it's the first link, so I keep wanting to click "About" and go to the home page instead of the "Home" link at the end. Of course, I may be the only one that it bothers so it's not really a big deal.
Pages&Content
-About- This page is always good to have. I especially like that you added the previous layout's page.-Visitor- This page looks great. It's well organized and all the links seem to be in good working order. You have a nice selection of graphics and resources available, although I personally would love to see more added to this section.
The articles are very interesting to read [I especially like the Natural Ways to Style Hair] and the tutorials are nicely done.-Portfolio- The images are well organized and very cute.
-Reviews- This is a growing trend on personal sites. I love that you've listed out the criteria for reviewing so site owners no exactly what you'll be looking at.
-Ask Me- This page is also good to have. You have to love the good 'ole Ask 'N Answer script. =]
-Home- It's good that you put the blog on the index page. Other than that, there's not a whole lot to say about this page.
Organization & Navigation
You're site has a very "clean" look and is nicely organized. The navigation is good as well but the is that small issue I had with the Home page link, but as I said before, that can be ignored.Rating
Overall Rating - 4.5 stars.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

Second look: Hmm... that notebook paper makes the sidebar look a little messy.
You've got a lot of potential with this design. I love the background texture you used and the idea of notebook paper as the body background. The scribbles on top are cute, but the backwards bottled was confusing at first, and I think it makes the scribbles look less cute and more jumbled than it should be. The black works as the text color in the body, but not really in the header - spice up your navigation instead of just having it over to the side. Why not blend it into the scribbles a bit more? It would make it more fun for your readers.
As I mentioned, I love the notebook paper idea, but when it gets down into the sidebar and the text, it scrambles things up because the words don't fit with the lines. This can easily be seen by giving the sidebar and text a line-height command so that it actually lands on the lines of the paper. This would be a pretty neat image. Also giving the text a line height would make it more readable.
The content you have on the site is great! I love the amount of stuff you give to your visitors. It really keeps people coming back for more. Organize your tutorials better - it looks like it's a growing list and you don't want it to get confusing. I would suggest though that you should change the color of your links - that orange makes it hard to read because it's so light and you want your readers to be able to read what they're being given, right? Yeah!
A few last words: I think with a few changes, this could be an absolutely awesome Wordpress Theme. You've got everything you need here, you just need to tweak it up some. You're headed in the right direction.

on 12th May 2009 and said:First Impression: I really enjoy the background and the layout but maybe there's a little too much going on inside the layout. I couldn't really see bottled sunshine right away and the first thing i saw was just 'BS'. Maybe just make your name a little bit more readable? Also on your navigation, I would recommend making the links blend with the theme and not just have something (like the font used) that doesn't really feel part of the layout as a whole.
Owner: I liked how you really explain yourself to your visitors, it made me feel like you weren't some complete stranger and you sound really nice too!
Content: You have a lot of user content and that's really good. I enjoyed reading some of your articles especially the affiliates one. :) Keep writing more of those interesting articles, it'll bring visitors back if they're unique like the ones you have. For your tutorials maybe try making some coding tutorials if you're good at html and css. Also categorize the tutorials so that people know what the tutorial has to do with (if it is a graphic tutorial or a program tutorial or whatnot), it's really helpful to know if it's something you want to learn or if it's something you already know.
Portfolio: I thought it was really nice to show your work. I really like how you used the lightbox to show the images instead of just opening them up in a new window. It adds a lot to the impression your visitors get when they see how you implement different things.
Reviews: I like how you give the warning at the bottom & how you actually wrote the grading criteria for your reviews! It's good to let your visitors know what they're getting themselves into when you're going to review them.
Site: I like your credits page, its really well categorized and hopefully when you start putting up more layouts, your previews layouts page will be too since it looks pretty good already. You should also put a little bit about how your website came to be and about your web design experience prior to your current website, maybe even give a little talk about how you came up with the name bottled sunshine and why you chose that name. Usually if it's an interesting story, your visitors will stick around enough to read it.
You have an amazing website! I really enjoyed visiting it, especially those articles! :) Keep up the good work. C

on 1st May 2009 and said:First Impression When I first came on your site, the first thing I saw is, of course, the layout. It's pretty great. I love all the brushes you used. The only thing about it, is that the first time you see it, it can be hard to read Bottled because it's reversed. But overall it's cool. Your colors are matching and your CSS is very simple, but it's great!
Owner Awesome part, I read abit, and you seem like a very nice person. It's very good for the visitors to know the site's owner well.
Visitor Content You have a very big variety of content, it's very good. Most of all, it's very original. Your graphics are very cool, and the think I like, it's that you don't use any celebrities images. That's awesome and a very good thing to do. You have a big variety of content, but I don't think there's a lot in each category, maybe try adding some more. I know you just opened, so I think it's still pretty great for an opening. I really like all your articles. A great thing is that they are not all about website and online stuff, some of them are also about life. It's another very good thing, you should really continue to write more of them. Tutorials are awesome for a site. I really like the ones you make but I think you should organize them a bit more and also make tutorials of other things than graphics.
Portfolio I really like the photographs you took. People will probably like them a lot. I find them very original, you don't really find that kinds of pictures on other sites.
Reviews I see you reviews sites, that's also very good. I read the review you already completed, and I find it very great. You are very good for reviews. Continue that!
Site And Finally the site part. I see you have the credit section and that it's pretty well organized. Well done on that. Maybe you should write some more stuff about your site.. like what is the site's history and also about the sitename. It's only a suggestion though.
Overall Your site is very great! You should definatly keep the awesome work up and add more stuff.
