Hi~ i'm christine. i'm using internet explorer :D with windows vista

    ~*~First impression~*~
    woah, thats one hawt mj~

    ~*Site Name*~
    Nice choice of words

    ~*~Layout~*~

A different font for the mj quotes would have been better. the pink for "hazard to myself" seems kind of messy compared to the other layout colors.I can't really see your navigation, it should stick out more.Right now your "about me" paragraph sticks out the most in your layout and thats not good D: D:

    ~*~Coding~*~
There are A LOT of errors concerning xhtml, 164~ i would suggest using html because your coding seems more valid in html, plus the main forground structure of your layot is html.
    -2 errors in css.

    ~*~Content~*~
This is mostly a blog? from which i understand.

    ~/|icons|~
The first two icons are a bit mish mashy on the colors

    ~/|Reviews|~
Detailed~, you sound like a promising reviewer

    ~*~Webmiss/Websir~*~
I could picture the kind of person you are :d

    ~*~Browser Compatibility~*~
    Fine no differences xP

    ~*~Orginization~*~
Its all jumbled stuff at the bottom, your twitter seems like its in the wrong location. And your navigation needs to be bigger or more visible

    #^~Overall~^#
Your "blog" is growing. Either add more content or don't have any at all as i would say. & you should be more selective of fonts. Your site overall is lovely, the simplicity of the layout is just ahhmazing and draw dropping ;D

First impressions of your site are exactly this: :O Who are those person? I have no idea. I get the whole rocky feel to the site. I like the font you used for your site. It's way cool and oozes personal style. The header may be too large though because it takes up 2.5/3 of my screen meaning I have to scroll down considerably to view your content.

Your navigation is very confusing, because you have named and ordered them i such a way, I thought it was a quote or something:

Aimee Stuff for You The Site Leave? Refresh
-Was it just me who thinks this?

I thought this because it's roughly the same size as your font you use in the blog and it's so small.
Ways to stop this confusion in the future would be to make the font larger and add some sort of padding to make each part of your navigation segregated from one another.

Looking at your blog, I am glad you added a dark grey to the background instead of leaving black because the would be too harsh on anyone's eyes. The font used within your blog is small. Too small. Could you please look into making it larger to hence more easier for people to read in the future. Whilst doing that, don't forget to increase your line height.

I read your about me page I can't understand why you have an opening and closing bracket within a sentence when it has nothing written inside it at all:

    "March 11th 1987 () in Phoenix AZ"
Am I missing what "( ) " is? If it's by accident then just remove it.

It's nice to see back buttons at the end of your pages to redirect you to the page previous. Very nice.

I think REFRESH should be renamed HOME as it doesn't refresh the page you are currently on but directs you to the home page.

The side bar looks cluttered with add ons which I think are pointless and useless such as the 'rate my blog' plugin and the site referral. Also the "Best viewed in" bit is a bit redundant. people will not change their browser just to view your site. Some people can't, so I believe it's best off leaving that out of your side bare /welcome section.

The site master would look lower down in your site such as in the non-existent footer you have or just at the bottom of the sidebar. Your about the girl is pretty cool. I like the colours. I don't think your LastFm plugin should be in your sidebar at all. More likely in you about page or something like that.

The add free blog thing made me laugh. It's claims to be an add free sign but it itself is an advertisement for itself. It's kinda hypercritical. If you are gonna have an advertisement free blog then just do it, don't have to have an add on your site saying you are doing so. because you break what you are aiming to do. If that makes sense?

I like the proud to be a geek thing. very cool.

Overall, the main pointer are re-organising your sidebar and navigation. Also your text size and that's all really. Good luck with your site for the future.

    Have a nice day
    - Shola

Hi there, I'm Sophia I'll be reviewing your site, I'll try my best.
Mozilla FireFox with a 1024x768 screen resolution, Windows Vista.

    First Impression:
Am I in a guys site? The colors are gross, randomly splattered, the guy's head is cut off, I feel like I'm in a piczo site.

    Coding and validation
Like I expected your coding isn't valid, it has 48 Errors, 65 warnings, I was surprised to see that your using containers. Your errors are easy to fix. However, there are so many it can be so hard.
You CSS has 42 errors, 23 warnings. Don't use textboxes and don't use same colors as simple as that.

    Layout
I don't like the header image, it's very long, I have to scroll to see your content. When i first say your site I had the impression that a guy owned it. I spent a half an hour looking for you navigation. Until i found those little text links, I didn't even think they were links. And why is your content centered? since your using containers add padding:5px so It will have some space from the left and right and without having to have everything centered. There is too much things going on with your sidebar, doesn't make me comfortable at all. Funny thing when I clicked your navigation, I searched for your content, then I found it, it was on the left, at the bottom of your sidebar. That's very unpleasant.
Your CSS matches well with your header images, I like the colors you used, well done.

    Content
Won't be reviewing your about me page.
You only have icons and review, your icons could improve in quality, they're not that bad. You offer very short useless reviews, and your review for heartdrops and my facade are the same T.T
    Overall
You have the ability to improve, your errors in your coding are very simple easy to fix, add more content, improve what you already have, let go of celebrity designing they're illegal. Good luck in webdesign.

Hellooo! :) I'm Haley. Let's get to the review.

    Style & Design

I really don't find the main header very attractive. You did a great job of cutting out the two men, but the neon purple and yellow really doesn't match. I would recommend shades of gray versus two bright colors. You also have used a photo were the guy's head is cut off, which is a little strange. Speaking of colors, though, I think you've overused some of the neon colors in your text and links as well. The links, emphasis tag, and bold tag are all a different color that don't really compliment one another. Try to keep your colors on the same tone. You could do a pink and purple, but keep them the same saturation level.

Your layout is very uneven, off balance. Your sidebar is overstuffed with things, all of which are different colors, which makes things very very cluttered. Only display on your sidebar what you really need. I think you could put a lot of the sidebar things on separate pages within your blog. I had some extreme trouble realizing your site had any sort of navigation. I didn't see it until the end of the review, to be honest. Navigation must always be user-friendly and easy to find. Yours is not. I would definitely make it bigger and bolder somehow...maybe an image map in your header itself? That way everyone would know your site is more than just blog entries.

My biggest gripe is the fact all of your entries' text is *centered*. Big no no. Never center a lot of text. Sure, it's OK for like a quote or something important, but never for full entries.

    Content

When I go to your AIMEE page I see a huge scroll bar both upwards and sideways. Your text is all the way over to the right of the entire layout; probably due to an open div tag or something. You can see the errors here: http://www.hazard.kiss-me.org/?page_id=85 and http://www.hazard.kiss-me.org/?page_id=190 - just for starters. I am in Firefox 3.5 (1280x800) and everything is totally out of whack. Now that I see it, all of your pages are like this. I can't read them because I have to scroll over and down...very strange. Always make sure you are closing ALL YOUR TAGS before going live with a website. It's very important!!

    Coding

As mentioned above, it's extremely crucial to close all your tags which you obviously haven't done seeing as the layout is totally off for me. I would suggest using a WYSIWYG editor such as Dreamweaver for someone like yourself. It closes tags and reminds you of coding automatically. Very handy! Your coding (HTML) is very messy. You are using may deprecated codes (bold, italic) which will soon become obsolete as new browsers are developed. I would recommend reading tutorials at W3C School's tutorial site. They are wonderful and very easy to follow in terms of how to validate your site. Validating is where your code is "correct" and usable X/HTML and CSS. Definitely look into that and you will learn a lot. :)

    Originality

Not that original in terms of content, but most blogs I come across aren't. It's tough to do a personal website these days, seeing as it seems like everyone and their mom has one. Ehe. Add some more unique information about yourself. You have a great start, so I think you can do it!!

Anyway, you have a lot of potential, but also have a lot of room for improvement. I hope to see you back with another (or updated) site soon!!

I agree with isyraroc, this layout isn't to my taste either. The first thing I noticed was the poor guys head is cut off. It might be worth cropping the banner to remove this and also to go with my second point - the banner takes up all the header space. Your content is below the fold, that is you need to scroll down to view the content, which people tend to not want to do straight away.

The post headings are centered, which feels and looks a bit odd to me. Especially when your main content is justified and central. I'd also consider upping both your font size and line height especially in the posts. The white on black and the small line height make your eyes go a little funny when reading!

I dont mind the crazy multicoloured underlined/bold links, I think they give this layout much needed colour as the header doesn't really blend in with the rest of the layout, its just sort of stuck on top. So any colour in the content section is definitely welcome. Especially when looking at your current posts - there are no pictures! Everybody loves to look at pictures, your posts need a call to action and the way to do that is to grab a users attention with a carefully selected optimised image.

The tweets in the sidebar also need some styling applied, default list and again centered makes it look as if it was just an after thought.

Your links are also centered which again doesn't look right to me.

I think your site needs to flow much better, at the moment is an image on top of some text with no real thought as to how the layout works as a whole.

Its certainly not a bad website by far so I shall give you 3 stars :)

Note: I'm reviewing this using Mozilla Firefox 3 and 1024x768 resolutions. I'm also kind of tired, so I hope you don't mind if this review is a bit brief.

Layout - Your design is not really to my taste, so I'll try and be objective. I liked the main graphic for the most part, but the one thing that bothers me about it is that the picture on the left - it looks so odd with his head just cut off like that.

You employ a lot of use of colors and emoticons in your postings, which isn't really bad, but I find that they throw me off a little. Combined with the small text, it's unappealing. If you want to keep all that, fine, but then I suggest maybe adjusting the line height to make it easier on some eyes.

Also, your page navigation. The "Aimee Stuff for You The Site Leave? Refresh" links need to be improved upon. They're small, barely noticeable, and give the impression that the content they hold aren't just as important as they should be. I would suggest you at least make the font size bigger and put some spacing between the individual links.

Another thing. Is there a reason why all the text is centered? I'm not a huge fan of it, but I'm interested to see why you have it set so.

As for your content, it seems that every page (outside of the blog) has the actual content placed under the sidebar. It is completely jarring, and if you weren't aware of it, I hope you will be able to fix it. I skimmed through your content, by the way, and for the most part saw nothing extraordinary, but I did find your "Happy List" to be cute and interesting.

I'm giving you 2 stars because I think your website appears to be a good reflection of who you are; I just think you need to improve on the design and presentation more.

Good luck with all your future "randomness!" =)
