The layout is very nice, and I like it very much. The colors go, and it is cute, but also sophisticated. I also enjoy the little details in the layout, such as the flowers next to the titles on the right side. The navigation is also very nice, and it's easy to find pages.CONTENT:
You blog is very well written, and definitely defines your site as a blogging site. On the Etc page, I would either add more content, or, link directly to the movie reviews on the top navigation. It doesn't make sense to have a link to a page that only contains one link.IN ADDITION:
I would definitely promote your blog more, that way you will have more people commenting your entries.OVERALL:
You have a very nice website for your blog. Keep it up, and continue to add more content to what you already have. & Promote!Good luck. :) You're doing great. <3

I like it. it's refreshing from the busy layouts people seem to have these days. I like the cherries and the name of your site is super sweet and cute.
It's organised very efficiently and the font you've used through the whole site is very cool.
Try a different font for the content area though. I don't believe the dark purple does itself any justice.Suggestions would be try and have one blog post visible at one time. It'll cut down on loading time, plus seeing all the posts at once it a bit daunting.
I dunno why I wanted to review your site, it just seems really nice, and it's been a long time since I have seen a site I really wanted to review because I just lied it. :]
Keep it up, I am prolly just gonna read your blog posts from now on. W00p.
Have a nice week.

Update: As I write reviews, I usually browse through the site and comment on what I find. Upon going through the About section, I know now what a bumplum is. That being said, I am actually quite impressed with the layout and content, and it does seem to be one of the few sites that I've visited so far that I plan to return to.
There was a little too much white space at the top, but I liked the cherries in the header, and the colour scheme wasn't unattractive either. I think that the site looks very contemporary, and well done. It is simple and the colour scheme is attractive and makes sense. I do want to add though, that I could care less which songs you last listened to.
I find that the content is the main reason why I return to a site. I find yours is well written and interesting, and also very important, there are no spelling mistakes (that I found anyway.) I like your writing style, because it was more interesting than the simple, here's what I did today type comments that I find in most blogs. I found that you offered an interesting take on the events that you wrote about. I understand that this site is very young, and in most of my comments, I usually add something to the effect that to gain readers you need to continue adding content regularly.
I thought the question mark that appears when you hover over a link was also interesting. It was a neat little touch that gets overlooked when most websites are created.
Overall, I have very little in the way of criticism, except for the extra white space at the top. It looks like a very interesting site, and hopefully you continue adding content, I look forward to seeing more.

There is like 25 pixels or so of white space on the top and then a logo and then your content. I also am not a fan of the brown background with purple heading. They just seem to devalue the wonderful work at the top with the plums with the cool shadow effect.
Good overall site that I am going to give a score of two stars.

Layout & Design
When I first look at your website, I see a simple purple-themed layout atop a plain white background. The whole white thing bugs me, as I'm used to some kind of background, whether it be scratchy/grungy, scanlines, or a simple solid color. Anything but white. I would recommend maybe a pale purple color. Try a paler version of the navigation's background. Now to the layout. I am glad you chose to do a centered layout. It is positioned in a way that almost looks symmetric on the page. So that's a plus. Other than that, I don't see much else that needs work, other than the cornered edges. If you look at them, they look, well, sharp and rough. I think you were trying to go with a vector sort of look with the layout, and smooth edges would make it look much more like that. I also like the simplicity of it all. It's nice to see a site with something more inviting like cherries with a nice rounded font. Good job.
Content
I see your site is about two years old since you created it in 2007. For a site this old, there should be a decent amount of content on it. Do you get a good number of visitors? Judging from your past blogs, you've gotten around 1-3 comments on each of them. You do have interesting blog posts, though. I won't go on and on about them, but I do see that you're trying.
Coding
As you're using WordPress, there really isn't much to say about the coding. Both the HTML and CSS is functioning properly and is validated.
I can see that you are obviously familiar with web-design, and that is a plus. Keep up the good work, and thanks for your time.

Though technically I started on the site in 2007, I didn't put any substantial work into it until this year, which is when I finally opened it up. I hope that clears it up for you.
I'm not sure if I'll be putting too much content into it. I intended the site to be solely a blog since I do have a separate personal website.
Thank you for your review!

on 4th Jul 2009 and said:Hey there! I'm Ashley, and I'm reviewing your site with a 1440x900 resolution on a Mac, using Firefox 3.
- Design
While I do like your color choice in general, it would be really nice to see something other than solid white for your background. I also noticed the rounded corners right away - I think it could do a lot for your layout if you could smooth those out, as they are very pixelated and it's a bit distracting. Also, it would be nice if you could do something more with the column on the right so that it's more visually separated from your main content so that the two don't run into each other (a different background color, a thin border, a little something to that effect). You could probably also get away with making it all a little bit wider.
The other thing that I notice is how you have your bold and italic words styled - I would suggest trying leaving those as what they look like by default, as having the bold words red makes them look as if they were links, and having your italicized words in a serif font clashes with the text and ruins the reading flow.
- Content
It's totally understandable that there's not much there yet as you just recently opened this domain up, so I won't look at this too in-depth. You obviously write well and your blog entries are easy to read. It would be nice to see a little bit more on your About page, something that will make it a little bit more "you" and set it apart from other websites of the same type. It would also be nice to see something more in general - perhaps you could make your movie reviews an actual sub-section of the site, rather than just part of your About page? Just something else to add other than the journal and the page about yourself.
- Coding
I don't think there's too much I can touch on here - everything checks out as 1.0 Transitional.
Overall, I think you're off to a good start, but work on cleaning up your design and putting a more personal stamp on your website :)

The bolded words are not styled any differently; I think you must have gotten confused when I bolded a couple of links in one of my entries.
I did put some of your layout suggestions into use; thanks very much!

Style & Design
Firstly the lack of a background image is really getting to me. I would love to see a nice complimenting color to your layout in the background versus the stark white. A light pink or purple or something would be good. Maybe even a pattern? Experiment. You'll find something that works great, I'm sure. :) Your header graphic is a little plain, but again, a background image would do a lot for this layout. My other issue is that your layout is very small. I am on a 1280x800 screen, and it's extremely small, taking up only about 1/3 of the page. Thus, there is a lot of white space that isn't being utilized. I would recommend making a bigger - or even fluid - layout. It would definitely help. I'm not sure I like the whole color scheme...red links are a little odd. Maybe a dark purple would be better? As I said before, experiment!!
Content
I am assuming your site is new, because there really isn't much to review. Your blog entries are minimal, as is the information about yourself and the blog. Keep up the good work and you'll have some content soon enough. Be sure to throw in some original stuff too, though, eg: recipes! I love recipes. Ehe.
Coding
Not much to say here. You're using WP, which is a great script to be using. :) I see you're utilizing SEO plugins, so good for you!! Keep it up!
Originality
Hmmm...as I said previously, I'd like to see some original content besides journal entries and your small profile. Add some stuff unique to you that others may not have. 100 facts about yourself...your pets...your friends...there are a ton of things you could add to your site to make it more unique. I look forward to see you add some stuff!
Conclusion
You have a lot of potential to be working with WP so fast, but you still need to hone your creative eye and help your brain translate your ideas into graphics. You'll get there one day!!

isyraroc's Response:
The layout was created in 1024x768 resolutions, thus its small appearance to you. :) I did take your comments into consideration though and have expanded it a bit.
As for more personal content, I'm not sure I'll be adding too much, since I do have an entirely separate personal website.
Thanks for your review! It was very helpful.
