Nice, nice, very nice. I quite like the gradient you have going on. Mostly on the header where it goes from white to orange-ish.
The brown colour underneath the grass irks me a bit. It looks sort of out of place, and doesn't really fit in with the header. My suggestion would be replacing the gradient with a solid colour instead.I just have to mention that I adore the sun! Not sure if it's because of the eyes with the wide space between, or if it's because of the glow from the back. Maybe it's just the mouth?
Layout
First thing I noticed was the gradient, as I've alrady mentioned above. I also noticed the white line on the top of the page. Is it supposed to be there, or is it the background from the content? Moving the header a little bit up would certainly get rid of it, I believe (unless it's a part of the header...).On the "Quote of the week" the background is slightly smaller than the sidebar.
You've written bamoons.so-pink.com in your sidebar. I believe it should be .org instead.
Another thing that's sort of bugging me is the period after every header (eg. About me. Blog. Extra.). I for one would prefer if you removed it completely. It's sort of a pet peeve I have, probably.Your navigation is perfect. It matches the text on your header, and the colours are also very good. I like the rollovers yay for rollovers!).
Coding
Ah, you have an internal stylesheet. I see someone else have already mentioned it, so I won't bother you with it. :P
When coding in XHTML, everything has to be in lowercase. All tags has to be closed (eg. <br /> etc.), and remember to add this line between your <head> </head> for character encoding:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />On both your Banners and Avatars/Icons you've told FF users to go to a separate page for credits. If you use the title="" along with alt="" the text will show when hovered over the image in FF as well as IE.
I don't know about you, but when I go to read your writings, I cannot seem to scroll down the pages. In both IE and FF.
I'm no coding nazi, so I'll leave it like this. :)
Content
You sure do have a lot of content. I noticed the free website layout has is using gradient too. Nice. (Typical your style, yes, no?)
Your writings are very well written. English is not my mother language, so I enjoy reading straight-forward text.
I'm considering watching Up by the end of the summer. After reading your review, I'm pretty sure I will! All in all
I really enjoyed visiting your website. You have a certain style and opinions, which make you (and your website) memorable.
A good thing! I most definitely will come back.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

The only thing I didn't like was that it's left aligned and beings as I have a wide screen there is a TON of space to the right. I prefer centered layouts but that's just me being picky. :P
At a glance your coding looks pretty good, I would suggest trying for an external css stylesheet rather than combing it with your whole layout. Makes it a little easier for editing and load times.
You content is nice, there's not a whole lot so you could work on getting some more downloads and such up but you have a good start. You have some nice graphics and blogs. I didn't have time to read all your writings but judging from your blog entries the writings will be just as good if not better. :)
I give your site a four, it's small now but it has great potential and I find it interesting. Keep up the lovely work!

Ooh, four stars. I'm glad you liked my little site. :)
Yeah, I'm making it a priority to have a centered layout next time (it irks me, too). And an external CSS stylesheet would be a nice idea, too. Hmmm...Thanks so much for your suggestions and comments!

on 23rd Jul 2009 and said:Hi Sarah, I'm Kinza and I'll be reviewing your site on Mozilla Firefox on a 1024 by 768 screen resolution. I hope you find this review helpful, and if you need any help, be sure to ask.
First Impressions: When I first visited your site, it's the blue welcome message that stood out most to me, not your actual header. Try changing the font color to the same orange as your header's main text.
Layout: I love the little sun that you put in as the main part of your header. After looking at the sun, my eyes drifted to the site name, which is also very good. Something that I don't like, however, is that when I hover over your navigation links, there is no rollover effect. It's optional, of course, to have this, but I find that rollovers make a site more attractive to the visitor. Another thing that I think you can fix is the "dirt" in the layout that feathers into white. Try making the feathering a bit stronger, and the layout will flow a lot better.
Sarah: I was so surprised to see that you'd read the Airborn series, I nearly fell out of my chair! No one else I know has read them. And don't worry, I won't spoil Starclimber for you (*cough Kate gets engaged, but not to Matt cough*) So you like Kenneth Oppel, haha. He's my favorite =3 All in all, I think this page is well set out, but I don't like how it's in semi-list form. It just feels kind of cut-up.
Bamoons: This page is very well written, and I only found one grammar error:
"I was getting to old for the books,"
Should be "I was getting too old for the books,"Writings: I would read these, but I don't have enough time for that. After I quick skim of the stories, I decided that I'd come back later to read them. Just scanning the stories, I realized that these would be very interesting for me to read when I'm bored. If you didn't take the pictures, put credit to the actual photographers. And if you did take the pictures, be sure to say whether or not they're free to use by the general public.
Designs: I have to say, I was impressed. Your yellow layout was the first one I saw, and it definitely made me want to look at the rest of your designs.
On your banners page, I would make the banner images into links, because I personally hate having to drag the images into my address or tabs bar. There is also one grammar mistake."below is items from my old site, Memorybox."
Should be "below are items from my old site, Memorybox."Avatars/Icons: I'm really glad that you put both avatars and icons on the same page, because some people tend to make two different pages for both of these. You should know that the hover thing doesn't work on Firefox, so you should find a different way to show the credits.
Overall: Sarah, I think your site is bursting with oodles of potential, and also has a wonderful owner. I'm pretty sure this site will bloom into a lot in the future, and has earned its 4 and a half stars.

Bamoons's Response:
Thanks for reviewing Bamoons, Kinza, and I'm glad you liked my site!
I agree with pretty much everything you mentioned, and I added a seperated credits page for both the signatures and avatars, for those Firefox users. I also corrected the grammer mistakes (whoops!) and changed the font color of the welcome message. Thanks again!(Omg. I must read Starclimber now... xP)
