Nique-Unique is a site that went missing for 2 years, and was re-opened on April 10th, 2009. It's a random blog, that talks about a typical teenage girl by the name of Mo'Nique, who talks about anything. There's also content for visitors to enjoy and use. Thanks for visiting. ^0^ Nique is taken from my name Mo'Nique and it's Unique because my mom called me "Unique" when I was born. xD

    First Impression/Layout
    Pretty cool and the colors go well together. The text in the blog area is a bit small, but I can still read it. :) The headers are a bit difficult to read; I suggest darkening the font colors so they don't blend with the background. I like the scratchy texture you have for the blog and footer backgrounds, but the textures on the top part of the layout look a bit weird; like they have bad quality or something. The navigation is also kind of hard to notice at first; I think making it either a bit bigger (the font) or darker would make it a bit better. It's also a bit strange that the header font is serif, while there aren't any other uses of the serif font on the layout. Also, you should put a little more padding underneath the headers. Other than those minor things, I'm quite fond of your layout.

    It's not too personal, but I pretty much get a feeling of who you are. I don't listen to much Korean music, but I have heard of the Wonder Girls.

    The Visitors Section
    Pretty helpful content, such as the link to Photofiltre and the tutorial for it. I also like how your web site names are COOL and not the usually "Sugar Marshmellow Rainbow Puff" suggestions. XP I wish I would've found your site when I was trying to name mine. -_-; The icons are pretty cute, too, though I wouldn't be able to use them since I don't listen to the bands. Your photography is also great, especially the shoot with the Heather Dolan girl. (She looks so classy!) I love the desktop images, too. They're so cute! Too bad I have a friggin' enormous monitor. T_T

    The Activities Section
    I really like how you have a sort of "advice column". Especially since some people don't know who to turn to sometimes. Sometimes it seems easier to let it all out to someone who doesn't know you/vice versa. It's nice that you have cool contests and such for people to enter; your site's not the usual resource site. I might enter the icon contest... :D

    Conclusion
    Your site's name stays true to your content - it's all pretty unique. I was expecting this to be just a regular teeny-bopper site with crappy content, but I was totally wrong. Your site is one that I'll probably visit in the future and snoop around. :D All in all, you have a great site that should pull in a great crowd. Keep up the good work!

    Over-all: I think your site is ok, but I think you should work more with your content. Everything is nice organized and is nicely presented! :)

    First Impression: I'm visiting your site for the first time, so my impressions on your site will be very fresh. As soon as I enter, I see a huge blast of a brightly colored cyan, which is eye popping, but not exactly the best choice of color. If you're going to use this color, use it on the image only, not on the CSS, unless you want to fry someone's retinas.

    Layout: Like I said, the cyan is very eye popping because it's so bright, but should only be used in the header. I might even suggest toning it down a little. It took me a minute to find your site's name, which isn't such a great thing. The font for your site name should be something else - something a bit more original than what it is. It's your site's name, after all, and should be one of the most noticeable things on the layout. In your sidebar, I really dislike the background behind the first letter in the header. It's creative, but not really appealing. I can see what you're trying to go for, but it's not really working out.

    Chick: Okay, wow.. That lime green actually did blind me for a minute there. And the text inside it is white? How is someone supposed to read that without highlighting it? Tone it down a little, or make the text darker. The actual content of this page is nice, but all the lists add to a mass of confusion, which isn't what you should be going for. Try putting it all in paragraph form, and you're good to go. Also, it'd be nice to expand on some of the things you listed. Why do you want to meet Raven Symone? We want to know!

    Visitors: I like the way you made the headers of each section something original - it adds some personality to your site. Please remove all the things that are coming soon - it's just unneeded clutter. On your image enhancement tutorial, there is a grammar / spelling error:

    On your icons page, add credits to wherever you got the images and brushes from, unless they're your own.

    On your wallpapers page, it'd be nice if you'd list the screen resolution the wallpapers were made for, so that people don't have to take their time to check.

    Entertainment: On the banners, the words are hard to read. You should try outlining them with an inverted color so that the words stand out instead of blend in. If you could also add a little description of what these are beneath the banners, they'd probably be checked out more than they are right now. Your advice column is nice, but if you could explain what it is (some people don't know what they are - believe me, I know from experience :P), it'd both fill the page up, and add a bit of interest to the otherwise bland page. Your N-U awards page is cool, it'll attract a bit of attention. The rest is pretty uniform, so I'll leave it at that.

    Overall: Mo'Nique, your site is creative, but could use a bit of fixing up before it can go higher up the style scale. Your site has some minor problems, but none you can't fix. I can't wait to see your site at some later time! Good luck, Mo!
