I just did a re-vamp, so all it is is a blog at the moment, not really any content.

To start off, my name is Alberto. I'm here to review your site. So, let's start? :)

Coding
With the coding, I saw 7 errors on your code using the W3C Markup Validation Service. So, I suggest to fix it up. :) With the CSS, you're fine but with just few warnings.

I suggest also that you do not use tables, instead, use divs. Yes, I know, there are divs, but it's only covering the table.

I also suggest that you don't use CuteNews because it's a bad content management system. :)

Header
So, when your site loaded, I first noticed your header. With the photos, I'm not against with that but what I noticed is that it's too 'splattery' and I didn't noticed 'dot org' that quickly because I thought it's part of the splat.

The whole
So, your layout is normal. Same one header above, 2 columns and footer. I'm not complaining nor against it. Just commenting. Haha. What I noticed about the layout is that it is too boxy. Instead of making a background color for your headers, try to make those out of the box. Make yourself more creative. :)

Colors
The colors are too bright for me and too reddish. I suggest you tone it down so that it will be pleasing for the viewers.

Overall
Overall, your site is good, just need some tweaks and all. So I give it 3 stars. :)

Hi, I'm Taylor. This is my first review. (Woo hoo!)
I am currently running the latest version of Mozilla Firefox on Windows Vista with a resolution of 1440x900.

My First Impression: Don't care much for the layout. The contrast of color in the header is nice, but its nothing original or interesting. A bunch of brushes and some images of a female- there are alot of websites out there with very, very similar header images, ya know? The rest of the layout is kindof "blah" to me, so there isn't much for me to appreciate. The CSS is all very simple and doesn't catch my eye at all.
I think using an adjective for a site name is a little awkward. It makes me think, Morbidly what? ... What morbidly?
Something about the colors makes me feel confined. Like when you paint a room black, ya know? You feel like you're trapped inside a box. Maybe try change the background to white? I know, I know, White is a pretty square color, but I promise that you can still make edgy layouts with colors other than black and red.

Maybe get on google and search for a Color Wheel- Or try using a site like http://www.colourlovers.com/ to start thinking about your next layout. Not only is composition vital to graphic design, but so is color theory. Its pretty interesting and it feels really nice to make a layout that is visually appealing.

When someone loads your website, the very first thing they see, the very first thing they judge you and your site on is the layout. If the layout is not pleasing compositionally, often they won't stay longer than 10 seconds.

Girl: Skimmed the first paragraph, scrolled down and saw how long the page was. Nothing I read in the first 15 seconds piqued my interest so I stopped reading.
Sometimes, if you add page breaks, images and different font styles- it brings visual interest to a webpage. Remember- Web design is not just about coding- its a visual art, too. You want to pull readers in and keep them there. When you load a page and all you see is size 8 font, its really easy to loose interest and leave.
Same deal with the Music page- a huge list of bands I don't listen to is not interesting to me, so I stopped reading.
Maybe if you combined the Photos and About me pages, for example, I might be more inclined to actually read them. There is nothing on most of the pages but text.

Content: The header on the content page is unnessicary. I know what the word 'Content' means.
Nice Avatars. I have little use for avatars and spend very little time on them when I do use them, though. Nice brushes, I 'spose. They're just like your layout. All the same style.
Annndd... lost interest. If I was a genuine visitor, I would have left by now.
The graphics are all very similar and there was nothing I saw that I felt was particularly original or interesting. I have no use for little tombstones. This is why I, myself don't run a graphics site- there are SO many of them.

Fashion: I think the fashion section is cute! Judging by the way you portray yourself through your site- Kindof a Goth-Rock Rivet head (whatever- I don't know you, I'm not going to try to tell you who you are)- I would bet that you know more about DIY clothing alteration that you are letting on- if not, go learn! Its fun! Its easy! Anyone can do it! AND! Its not something you see every day on every other personal website in the universe.
Again, the header doesn't really fit, in my opinion. Maybe go into your CSS and make a 2nd header that differentiates the title of the page from its contents.
Also- If I were you I would have a friend take some clearer pictures of yourself (or someone else) in the T-Shirt you made- its really hard for me to tell how exactly it was supposed to come out.
Clothing Alteration is Content, too! I would move this to the Content page.

Some fashion ideas:
Silkscreening- I do this all the time, and while it takes some basic equipment and some time to learn, its alot of fun and you can make lots of original clothing with your own designs.

Sewing- Hand sewing or with a machine- You can make ANYTHING. T-Shirts, Dresses, Skirts, dresses, hats, bags- anything.

Knitting!

You can also sell things that you have made through Etsy or just set up paypal on your own.

Domain: Fine. Not interesting, but there isn't really anything wrong with it. I would combine some of the pages. I like your buttons. Props for listing Credits.

Overall: I think you have good intentions and do want to have a nice website- There just wasn't much there for me.
I didn't find anything in the blog to be interesting, none of the graphics were original. Personally, I alter my band T-shirts all the time, so I didn't read the clothing tutorial, but I think you're onto something. Maybe make a skirt next time. Take lots of pictures. Try to do something a little more original and you may find that your visitor returns will increase.

Try to make your blogs more interesting. Personally, I don't care which antivirus program you use. Maybe, if something cool happened to you that day, tell us what happened and why it mattered to you. Give people something to think about it- then you'll start to get replies and correspondencies and.. drumroll, please... HITS! Yes, hits!

I think you should put more thought into organizing your pages- alot of things seem a little out of place the way they are. A plugboard in the Content section, or having your webrings listed on the sidebar and not in the domain section.

It looks like your last two layouts were pretty similar to your current. Next time, try to do something new! Something you haven't done before.

Layout!
I really like your layout. At first, it seems like it might overwhelm the visitor, but in reality, it is well put together. I like your use of brushes and images, along with colors in your top banner. Especially your text! The text is very original, yet not out-of-place. Good job. I also like the text you use on your site in general. It's cute.

Sidebar
Your sidebar is very organized. I like how it's simple, yet not boring.
Girl - I like your bio. It's very organized, in paragraphs, and although not cut off in sections or lists (like every other site), it flows nicely and gives interesting information about you.
Your contact me page is a little ... bland, if that's the word to use. Your form looks a little "off" regarding its size and it's very uneven, making it look a tad bit unprofessional and unorganized. Maybe look into that and see if you can fix it to make it more appealing.
Your "find me" page is very interesting. I've never seen one of these before on a website. But I suggest adding this page to the "contact me" page, because they are both very closley connected. Maybe list these at the bottom of the Contact page.
Your music page is very cool. It allows the viewer to relate to you musically, and it's just something interesting to read. I also like how you put the artists in alphabetical order, it makes it more organized and easier to find certain artists to see if we have something in common :] To be honest, I haven't even heard of a lot of these bands xD
Your photos are a cool page to add to your site. I like how you thumbnail them, and the white border (with the hovering black border). Your bunnies are cute :P

Content - Your avatar bases are really nice! Love how you make them transparent, which makes them easier to use. These are all very unique and different. Great job.
Your brushes are also very nice! I like how you make them downloadable for all programs, instead of just one or two and then you explain how to use them.
Your stock images are cool. There isn't too many of them, and they are all similar (all tombstones) so add some more of these!
Your textures are pretty cool as well. Nothing much to say about them - I like them.
The only thing I recommend though is changing 'Graphics' to 'Resources' because graphics are usually things that YOU have already made, using the resources (banners, icons, blogs, layouts, etc.) while resources are for other people to use to make graphics.
The downloads section is a cool thing to have, maybe add a few more other than the Peta2 toolbar.
Good job at providing a Plugboard. Most people like having this opportunity to advertise their site.
Wallpapers are very nice. However, I feel this belongs in "Graphics" (or "Resrouces" if you decide to change it) instead of "Misc". I like your Misc. wallpapers the best :P

Fasion - This is a cool thing to have on your website. Though under construction, I feel like once completed and active, this could be a really cool part of your site (or really lame, depending on how you work it!) However, I cannot access the tutorial :[ It seems very interesting and cool, though!

Domain - Not much to say here. I like how you give a little explanation about your site name and whatnot. However, I feel it is misplaced within the navigation. Usually, the site/domain links are very important (they contain credits, linkbacks, etc.) so maybe you should switch Fanlistings and Domain, so that Domain is right near Home.

Fanlistings - I've never really been a big fan of Fanlistings, but I know many people are. This is sort of a cool feature to have attached to your site.

Other - I like how you are using PHP, instead of iframes (like my site is currently -_-'). PHP is a lot easier to manage, along with making it easier for visitors to bookmark a single page.
I like your site name. It's very original, and sticks to the overall theme of your website, which proves to have more of a gothic feel to it (looking at your current and past layouts, color schemes, etc.)

4/5 stars :)

Hey, I'm Francine and I'll be reviewing your site. :)

Layout:
Whoa! This layout is out of control, but in a good way. xD Although goth really isn't my style, I actually like this layout. But, just as a warning, this layout might scare some people away. It is a bit different, and difference scares a lot of people sometimes. Though the banner is a bit busy, so I can barely read the text MORBIDLY on there. Try to tone it down with the brushes next time you make a layout. Most people say they don't like solid color backgrounds because they're plain, but I quite like them, but this one kind of hurts. Maybe make it a darker red? And I think the color for the content doesn't match at all. As the same with the background color for the navigation links. Though I am IN LOVE with your news smilies. The skulls totally fit the whole feel of the layout. :) Well done.

Girl:
It's nice that you have a little part about the real you, and then some favorites and stuff. Though, it took me a little while to figure out where your pictures were. Maybe you could put some text there showing that you click the little "+" thing between the brackets.

Content:
I wouldn't say that a Plugboard is content, and that maybe you should put that on the "domain" section maybe?

Avatar Bases
When I saw this, I thought it was something totally different! But these are nice too! Actually, even more useful than I thought they were. Great job on these! I love the thought of this, it's very unique and original, considering I've never seen these around any other sites. :)

Brushes
These brushes are cool. Although, maybe you should have .zip files as well as image packs. I like .zip files more, but some people also like image packs. :) It's very optional, but it'd provide more variety for the visitors.

Masks
I notice that these are also unique, but aren't these the same thing as brushes? And I'm not too sure how to use them. And there aren't very many of them. They look pretty good though, so bravo to you on that. :)

Stock
I don't suggest calling these just "Stock". Call them stock images or something, because some people don't know what you mean if you just say "stock". There are only tombstones. :( I'm quite disappointed. And did you take those pictures? I hope you credited the people that actually did.

Textures
I quite like these. Mainly because they aren't all goth. I know your site is a goth site I guess, but it's nice to have other stuff too. :) The first one is my favorite.

Wallpapers
I really like these wallpapers! I would suggest offering them in more sizes though. A lot of people have 800x600 screens, so that's a suggestion.

Fashion:
I didn't know what this was, so I was curious to what you put here. I really like the idea of this. :) Please add more! I think it's very creative, and I can picture a lot of people actually reading these. :D

Overall:
I think your site is amazing. :D It didn't look as though it would from the layout at first, but after you sift through and find the gold, you'll be glad you visited. Try and have a friendlier approach though! :3 I'll give you four stars. Keep up the good work!

Thank you :)

Yeah I keep forgetting to change the + for the photos section, you're not the first person to tell me XD I need to get on that.

The brushes are .zip files of the image pack, because I use PSP and I know the majority of people use Photoshop, so I figured people can just create them with the images.

The masks are basically the same thing as brushes, just larger and intended for text areas... maybe I should move them to the brushes.

Aww I'm sorry to disappoint you with the stock. Yes, I did take them myself (they're just little styrofoam/ceramic tombstones that are Halloween decorations) and I just got a digital camera recently so I plan on taking more pictures.

Yeah, the wallpaper's I actually just created for myself a while ago and then decided to add them, that's why I haven't made other resolutions yet XD

Thank you so much again :)

theerinkal gave it ***** on 22nd Aug 2009 and said:

I am reviewing in Mozilla Firefox.

The first thing I see when I open your website is an extremly bright red background. It does match the layout but you could tone down the red a little bit and it will still match. That may hurt some people's eyes and drive those people away from your website. I try to stick with contrasting colors that look good together but yet, won't hurt people's eyes.

The banner took about 15 seconds to load for me but for people with dial-up internet it may take as long as 5 minutes, I suggest making your banner smaller with more images then adding it to your website that way it takes less time to load and people can see the talent that you have faster.

I love the name of your website, Mobidly. I'm not a death or blood fan but this is that is still a cool name. I know some people that like death and morbid stuff.

I like the javascript that you have on your about you page aka "girl" page. Overall, it is a little long and I'm not going to actually take the time to read it because I am too tired right now, but I may read it later(:

I really have nothing bad to say about the content page, I like the way that it is set up, though. I LOVE the avatar bases that you have, & the fact that you have them transparent where people can see them is even better. That's a really good preview of what they are going to get with the base. Those brushes are also really cool, good job! I like the Masks, although I don't know the difference between those and textures they are still pretty cool. You don't have many stock images but in time I'm sure you'r number of stock images will grow. I like how they fit the theme of your website, not just the layout but the name, too. Kudos! Your textures are cool. Some of your wallpapers are very contrasting and hurt my eyes just in the preview but I don't have to get a wallpaper if it hurts my eyes, so that won't be an issue with these. Overall, your content is very "you" style & I like it. I don't know of many websites that actually express their own style and creativity and you do it here. Kudos, again! :D

I LOVE how you have tutorials on how to make a T-Shirt for your favorite band and how you have the difficulty and name and description next to an image.

I really don't have anything to say about the about page. But on the credits page it looks like you have everyone linked. That's great. I've heard of some websites that steal other people's property and you don't, YAY! Your previous layouts are really cool and are also "you" style so it looks like you've always used that style, congrats! I'm still trying to find my style of layouts and that kind of stuff. I like it that you offer hosting, I know of a lot of websites that do, but anyone who is a fan of goor and basically morbidly stuff can get a sub-domain of your website and use it as a fanlisting. I may do that myself...maybe not. I already had to give away one website because I had too many to handle. Hahahaha.

Overall, I LOVE your website and LOVE the fact that you've always had your unique style of morbid anything. I admire that. Again, I'm still trying to find my style & I also use GIMP so I'm working with it creating layouts for my visitors of all styles & seeing which kinds I exel at and which one's I should just trash. :D

ghoul's Response:

Aw thank you so much :D Yeah I tend to forget about loading time, and actually (oddly enough) the header would have been smaller as a .png rather a .jpg but i hate usings pngs in layouts because I know some people have a problem viewing them.
