on 17th Sep 2009 and said:First of all I really like the background imagery and the header image. The logo is a cool concept but it needs to be cleaned up a bit to look a little sharper. Maybe a hi-res vector image or something that does not get pixelated when shrunk down to a logo size.
- Cool simple navigation and color palette.
- I would like to know more about the Caglow Open Astronomy Force on the home page as opposed the about page. Just a little more so when I come to the home page I better understand what the site and the Force is all about.
- I would like to have a better sense of things on the home page. I have been starring at it and reading it and still hard for me to fully understand everything the site is or what it is really all about.
- I think this "we are a group of developers writing free, open and semi-open source astronomical software for the world to use" needs to be more clearly communicated so people in your field can really get excited about your software and using it for their astronomy needs.
- maybe a video of the software in use and seeing what it can do would be helpful. Like a "see it in action" type of button or something like that.
- The images section and pictures are very cool but wish there was more. I think it would be a great way to show people how cool astronomy is and how beautiful it can be outside the city lights.
- I did not notice a blog section would would nice to see and help with your wen traffic. much of the history items would work in the blog and would be a cool and easy spot to keep up with everything you are doing.
Overall a nice simple site but has tons of room to improve. nice work.
