Shock Revolution, ShockRev for short, is a cross between mainly a personal blog, though I try to incorporate a few resources too.

You can find a few tutorials, articles, stock photography, pixels, coded layouts, etc. I'm working on adding more quality graphics, and I've cleaned out most of my content.

I don't mind constructive criticism, but please don't be straight out rude.

*Note: Everything on my site was deleted, and I only have old copies of the files, so a few of the pages may be outdated. I've been checking each page, however, so I don't think there will be many. Maybe one or two that I missed.

I now have a V3 up! Please go review that one instead.

    Website Layout
    At first, I was a little confused by your layout. I saw tons of things going on. You had a top navigation and a sidebar navigation. The colors are bright for me, but that's just my opinion.
    Site Name
    Its original. I haven't come across any sites using the words "shock" or "revolution".

    Hosting
    You should change the title for your subdomain hosting. Subdomain hosting is free, and you should never be charged to get a subdomain.

    I dont see why you have to put [at] and [dot] along with your email when you state right in the sentence after that to "Please change the "[at]" to "@" and "[dot]" to "."". It doesn't make much sense to me.

    You sure do share a lot in your autobiography. I wont say much more about it, nothing is wrong with it. Ha ha ha.
    Content Navigation Page
    You should add "visitor" to the title. Content refers to everything, including visitor and site content.
    Pre-made coded layouts
    Your pre-made layout headers look a little plain to me.
    Stock photography
    Just wondering, all these all of your photographs? They are amazing ha ha ha.
    Guess the number
    You should actually put this under games and other activities not competitions.
    Tutorials
    These would be better organized by programs.
    Articles
    You should get a program where it organizes your articles. Try downloading Enthusiast.This links to a tutorial on how to download it and where you can download it.
    Your "Social Classes of the Web" article is creative. I have never seen that topic before.
    Organization
    Overall, your organization could use a little help. Try organizing your visitor content page. You should move anything that has to do with your site to your site content page.
    Overall Summary
    You have potential. Keep working and you can achieve even more!

    Thanks for the review, it was pretty helpful, but I just want to point out a few things.

    First of all, I don't know where you see navigation in the sidebar.. O_o I only have the horizontal navigation under my header.

    Second, I put "[at]" and "[dot]" when showing my email because it reduces the chances of receiving spam letters from it.

    Third, I DID add "visitor" with "content." I'm a bit confused about what you meant, though. The navigation link says "Visitor," and the heading on that page is "Visitor Content."

    Fourth, I only have about 10 articles and tutorials as of now in total, so I don't see the point of creating another page or downloading some program. Besides, it basically tell you what program I'm using for that tutorial in the name of the link.

    I checked out your site yesterday but the layout looked kind of iffy to me. But now that I'm looking at it again, I kind of like it. The colour scheme is different and very "retro". My only complains is the blue links over navy background. They are a bit difficult to read until I hover over them.

    From your content, I think it's wonderful that you offer a lot of resources for your visitors like layouts and such. I think my favorite would have to be your stock photography. You have a large collection of those which is awesome.

    As far as content, it is good. I won;t get into it all.

    Here are a few things you should work on...

    Meta Tags
    Your Description & Keywords fit the site. They are within the recommended character limits. Those do not need work. But, You are missing TITLE, ROBOTS, Revisit After, Content Language, and Copyright. You might want to add those in at some point.

    Valid XHTML Came back with an error, "This document cannot be checked".

    Other than that, Great Site! Here are some things you can also work on...

    Ah,it is quite nice.I heard recently that there's a song called Revolution and it is very nice?As i can see in your 'About The Site' page,you stated that it is from a song.And so Shock was gotten from Shockwave.Shock Revolution sounds like a gaming site that will upgrade their games everyday :P (Hope no offence!)

    As stated at jigsaw.w3.org/,there is totally no errors in your layout.Like reviewing Auberginer,Lisa's site,i call it good going.

    One thing that i really loved about your site is the header image.It was so nicely done that i fell in love with it :) I wanted to ask you to put some transparency on the image(is that correct,transparency?) but then i spotted it.So great job!

    Okie dokie,since the first navigation from the left was Home,I'll skip it and go to Visitor.

    I can see that you placed some rules in a blockquote at the starting.
    Everything here 'were' made by me; please don't claim these as your own.
    If i'm not wrong,shouldn't it be 'are'?I'll check it out later and maybe i'll edit it if i'm wrong.I had no time to check all the pages so i'll skip some pages.Cool,you do offer subdomain hosting.And I don't really agree with 'You should back up your own files in case something goes wrong. I'm sorry, but I will not do it for you!'.I think that as their host,you should back it up for them(if needed) then email the backup to them.

    Well,if in the visitors' section you put hosting,why must you put hosting in your navigation?It's just a 'choose one and go' situation.I'm not going to say anything here since i've explained it on the previous page.

    Well for your navigations,i dislike the font Century Gothic.If yo u would like to use that font,put it in bold.It would be nicer.I will change my rating if I can see improvements!Good job,anyway!
