on 18th May 2011 and said:Hi, I'm Zainab and I'll be reviewing your site for you :)
Layout: Overall I really like the layout; it's pretty, minimalistic, nice colour scheme. Only problem is I took a lot longer than I needed to in searching for the navigation so I'd recommend making the links a bit bigger or more noticeable somehow. Also the white on lilac is really hard to read so I'd make fixing those links a top priority. Also it's spelt "navigate" :) The radio icon is really cute.
Content: You mention that you're a poet and it would be lovely to read some of your poems on your website for some really original content to read. The graphics you offer are nice but it would be really nice to have something to read from you!
Coding: 185 errors. I'd really recommend checking out the validation and going through the errors and following the instructions at your own pace. It would make for much cleaner code.
That's all I can say :) Good luck!

Regardless, I would see like to leave a few suggestions behind just in case you do decide to come back and blog.
I like the concept of your website having small pixels, font, etc. However, I would like to see the font at least a few pixels higher.
I think you would have received a 4.5/5 with me, but it's just the lack of updates that turned me off and will probably turn off your viewers. <3

on 17th Dec 2009 and said:My first impression was that your site wasnt organised. Everything looked all over the place, it was hard for me to navigate around the site. And sadly, this impression is still here. The colours are too girly, but that's just my opinion. Too many images everywhere, the nailpolish, the handbags, the perfumes etc. Speaking of 'etc.' you spelt that wrong at the bottom, you wrote 'ect.' Spelling and grammar is very important, and you must make sure everything is perfect to make your site look professional. I like the idea of your site being a blog as well as a resource site. Ive never seen that before. I also liked that you added a shoutbox, so people can chat to you, and to each other! You also have affies, which is a Plus. Not too many, either, so another plus. You credited others for what they needed to be credited for, i like that. The music can get a little annoying sometimes. If maybe you put a pause / stop button somewhere, that would help. The design of the layout was maybe just a little unorganised, you could have had a separate section for links and affies, then a separate section for special information etc etc. The title image was pretty and interesting. I like the font you used, and the colours complimented the layout colours, even though i personally dont like pink or purple. Originality is another minus. Even though you have a custom layout, ive seen many with the same design, or template. Maybe you could have come up with something a little more original. The coding is good, nothing was out of place on my computer, everything was perfectly in its textbox. The flowery design in the top right hand corner is pretty. Again, i dont really like the pink, but ignoring that, i like the flower. Im just giving you suggestions, its not a bad start, a good one really, just try and make your site look a little more professional, and maybe make the font a little bigger, and space the text boxes out a bit more. Good luck!

on 14th Dec 2009 and said:My first impression of your site is overwhelming. Everything seems squished together. Your layout is alright, I like the colour scheme but the font size is too small, it should at least be 12px. Your navigation is kind of hidden and is at the bottom of your sidebar and is quite small. You should put it at the very top or under your header so that it's horizontal.
On your sidebar your link me button takes up a lot of room. You don't need to add the code since people tend to do that themselves. Since it's also animated it distracts visitors from the rest of your site. You should move that button to another page and place it with other buttons so that visitors can choose. The animated music box is also quite distracting, people can play their own music if they like. I don't understand why you have a shoutbox is people can just comment on your blog? It's the same thing. The rest of your sidebar is fine.
I don't know why but your site seems to take a while to load... again your font is way to small and hard to read. In your domain section, affiliates, you spelled displayed wrong in the form. You should add a form here so it's more convenient for visitors. Your terms are fine except you spelled which wrong in the 5th rule. Your credits page is fine but I don't get why you have a tag board page IF you have a shoutbox on your sidebar AND visitors can comment on your blog? I find it quite confusing.
In your visitor section your 404 signs are bad quality and people don't really use these on their sites. If they do they usually make there own. Same with the rest of your graphics, your pixels also aren't shaded. In your photography page you didn't take them? Why are they on your site? Do you even have permission to distribute these and why would people credit your site if you didn't take them.
Your basic text codes are invalid XHTML and your "text smilies" isn't really a tutorial.

on 21st Oct 2009 and said:Your layout is a bit overwhelming to me, although there aren't many elements; it is primarily because you mixed aliased text "tinyfleur.com" with a semi-blurred, anti-aliased branch of flowers, then threw in dotted lines--the variety doesn't compliment each other very well.
The line height you've specified for text makes everything cramped, and slightly hard to read especially in areas surrounding links. You can afford to make the line height larger by a couple units.
The navigation links also suffer from being almost microscopic, enlarge it a couple units--the navigation is fundamental to every website, but it's easily missed if it looks too much like the rest of the text around it. Add some padding to the top and bottom of each navigation link.
Linking the index page under "Blog" is a little misleading because it initially seems like you don't have a link to the index. How about linking the "tinyfleur.com" header back to the index instead or rename the "Blog" link as "Home?"
It seems you have forgotten to font format the meta links ("Posted in:"); they're showing up in Times New Roman. However, the colors you've chosen fare well on the eyes.
---
According to the disclaimer above most of your graphics pages, most of the graphics you offer visitors are just reposts from other sources. While it may be fine for generic quote graphics, it isn't for the photography (in the Icons and Photography section). You explicitly state they aren't yours, yet you watermark them as your own. I suggest you take them down; they aren't "graphics" and are copyright to people whom have not released them for your exploitation.
What's the point of reposting graphics from somewhere else anyway? Reposts also defeat the purpose of a Terms of Service because you retain no rights oh those graphics.
On your Girl page, there is a broken image under Joined, result of Photobucket deleting it.
---
Apart from your blog and a couple of graphics made by you, the rest of the content renders Tiny Fleur bland, and although there are more than a couple of pages, it's an imitation of effort. I suggest you hold off on the 'Visitor' section until you've mustered up some original content for it.

on 20th Oct 2009 and said:after going through this website at first glimpse i already liked the fact that the website wasn't too overwhelming. i liked that the design of the website had a simple template. i like that the colors weren't too crazy, and it kept me interested in reading the content. i like that her posts are personal and random and lacks the consistency so it's easier for a reader to actually find something in common with them.
i'd just like to probably see a little more pictures and have the posts a little bit longer as well. i'm the type of reader that loves tons of content on a blog. it keeps me interested and wanting more with much more information being written.
UPDATED 20 Oct 09:
i'm sorry i meant to be safe and don't put any of your personal information online since you're so young. i just wanted you to be safe that's all lol. i'm sorry if that part of my review was still quite unclear. as far as the rating i think a 3 is good it's not bad not too good. i think you still have a long way to go until you actually can make your site successful, but so far you're on the right track.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?
