    Hey there I'm K.O. and I will be reviewing you site using IE

    First Impression
    Your layout is very clean and neat. Though the box to the right is different.

    Layout/Coding
    As I stated above your layout is nice and clean and your colors match each other well, but there seems to be a lack of creavitiy. No-offence, but it seems like there is more you can do to make your site pop, while keeping it nice and neat. However your code has only 5 errors HTMl wise and no errors css wise.

    Content
    Your avatars are nice but kinda plain as well. The one that says "New York here I come" doesn't seem like it has anything to do with newyork, and some of the others are the same way.
    Your textures are really nice so nothing there
    Your wallpapers are very nice, though the one that says "Pocket full of sunshine" could use more work

    Overall
    Overall you have a very nice site, it could just a wow factor.

    My first impression is good. I love the colour scheme. Your layout is simple and looks nice. I'm not too fond of the "in surrender personal and resources site". It just ruins the layout. Your font is readable and not too big or small. I like your footer, instead of having a sidebar you just put it all there.

    About me section. Your about me section is fine and I see no spelling errors. I feel like I know everything about you by reading that. Although I think you should put your contact header at the top so people can find a way to contact you easily and quickly. Also your twitter link is invalid, maybe you changed your twitter user name? Don't forget to update that!

    Nice awards. On your ask me page the footer is a bit messed up. The recently added header is under the advertising. I think you ended the div too early.

    Articles section. I'm not going to read all your articles but the titles seem interesting and makes me WANT to read them :) You also don't see some of these topics on most sites, well done.

    Resources section. Graphics header. Avatars. I like your avatars they're unique but they're all squished together. Try putting at least one space between them, that way they stand out more and look nicer than just one big clump. Desktop wallpapers. These are nice and you have the 2 most popular screen resolutions which is good. They all look really nice. Premade layouts. You have 3 premade layouts which are alright but a bit on the plain side. It's good that they are valid XHTML and CSS.

    You only have one tutorial, it's pretty good but you should explain what some of the codes mean and what they do as well.

    Everything under the website section is fine, you gave proper credits but you should go in more detail in your history... unless you don't have much? :P Your advertising is fine, I like how you have a form there.

    Overall well done. You have tons of graphic skills, but your site still needs some work.

    Design: First impression, there is too much going on. The 'cheesy' font title and pattern repetition.
    Okay. First of all, what is your theme of the layout? I see a really crappy pattern going across the page, is that the theme? I'm not here to scare you away or put down your work, but you seriously need some advice.
    I'm going to get into css later, but what is up with the pattern? Honestly, check out http://deviantart.com for some patterns and make sure they work with your colour scheme or you shouldn't even be doing web design.

    Patterns can help to make a site look stylish and maybe even fancy. But it can also make a site look trashy. First start by choosing a pattern that doesn't have so much going on, keep it simple. Once you have your pattern, have good knowing of the main colour scheme of your layout. I'd like you to open the pattern (as image) in photoshop, set your foreground to the main colour scheme of layout or background, then go to hue/saturation → and check colorize! This tool is wondrous and should be used more often.

    The font of your site title is horrible. Just really cheesy. You dont need to make your font completely bizarre and unusual, again – keep it simple. Trust me, simple works. Even if you want to use cursive, make it legible and somewhat stylish. Go back to http://dafont.com and change that city font. Gah! It ruins the layout.

    Your site layout, looks like basically a billion other site layouts I've seen before...and it annoys me. Why do most 'noob' layouts need to have a huge header, a vertical and horizontal navigation. Have all affiliates listed with names and so on. It is bugging me. BE ORIGIONAL. Take a risk and you will surprise yourself.

    Content: Quantity is fine, but not when its crap. Take a tutorial on how to make an avatar before slapping on brushes or icon textures. Your wallpapers are not bad (taking in mind that I fail with wallpapers – miserably) But the wallpapers still look a bit sloppy, it looks like you've added a texture, brush, magazine scan and some corny text to make the wallpapers. And with all the same coloured background?

    I completely laughed when I saw 'premade layouts' – ha! You? Make a worthy layout for yourself, and then worry about those in need.

    I like the fact that you have an about me page, great communication with visitors and also the fact that you have a comment area for visitors to comment on your blog updates. The site name isnt bad, but the story is slightly lost. Maybe you can give me some background to it?

    CSS Suggestions: This is a biggie. Next time you make a layout, no patterns. Unless your willing to take my advice.
    - In your case, better to keep the site title all in the same area, otherwise it's confusing.

    Anyhoo, the most disgusting CSS issue in your layout is the vertical navigation. Why? The pink border is HORRIBLE! I'll tell you what would make your vertical navigation acceptable. Take away the border, you dont need it. Take away the main background of the vertical navigation, or leave the background as the same colour as the page background.

    .box {
    padding:5px 5px;
    font: 12px Verdana;
    line-height: 17px;
    vertical-align: baseline;
    color : #000000;
    background: #f5f5f1;
    text-align : justify;
    margin:0px 0px 10px 0px ;
    -moz-border-radius: 4px;

    If you remove all patterns and that horrible blue at the top, continuing on by moving the 'city' text beside 'in surrender' with same font as 'in surrender' this could actually look good. Bring the font size down 4px and change the content area background to #f5f5f1

    I noticed you use Colourlovers; please use it. It's basically made for beginners who dont have a clue how to work with colours. This could help improve of your colour-coding in layouts. Honestly.

    Thanks for the review!

    now, here is my comment:

    Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that a huge header in your site? AND in your premade layouts? Isn't that a cheesy font too at your site? I believe I'm very original, after all I'm not the one who is using celebrity images all over her site then telling people to be original. I rather stick to my sucky premade layouts then do a twilight premade layout.

    And if you're professional and I'm beginner you should know that the box isn't navigation. however, i will take your advices, maybe they'll come handy. You succeeded at being harsh but not honest; take a look at my articles.

    "Why do most 'noob' layouts need to have a huge header, a vertical and horizontal navigation." yes tell me why :

    Ho there. I'm coke, and I'll be reviewing your website on Windows, In Firefox. Unfortunatly, I don't have much time to get into much detail, but still, I'll try give you a sufficient review. ok, let's start on your layout & first impressions

    LAYOUT, FIRST IMPRESSIONS
    Great, the first impression is good, I would continue browsing your site happily. A do have a few suggestions, though -
    - I like the colours of your layout, but the black in the background and the white font is hurting my eyes. I would suggest maybe having a darker grey background, then inverse the background and font: White as the background, black font (I think a #333 would look very nice)
    - The fonts are a bit boring. They're nice and easy to read, but I would suggest changing the title fonts on the blog & sidebar to Georgia. This would look nice. Same with the navigation at the top.

    Otherwise, good, your layouts fine

    CONTENT
    Excuse me for diving straight into content. I'm going to try get the visitor's content done as soon as I can, I'm in a bit of a hurry.

    Your visitor content is good, but I suggest adding more. I like the first wallpaper, you should make more styles like it

    I'm sorry I can't review other pages of your website, as I'm in a hurry ( as stated before, I think twice! . )

    OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
    I agree with tugboat:
    "Overall
    You have a very cute site. I think it could use some more content, but the layout is appealing and so is the content you have now. I think you should just polish a few things here and there and you're good. :)"

    I agree with what he/she says, your have a very nice site but I think you should add more content and things, fix the layout up a bit. Congrats though, nice site you have here!

    I am viewing your layout in IE. I'll start out by saying you have a great site name, it's catchy and easy to remember.

    Layout
    The colors are very nice, the purple and gray look lovely together. I am not fond of your navigation at the top, it is a little boring. I would suggest changing the font to something more interesting that's on most computers, such as Georgia. I would prefer if the link color was light gray and the hover was purple instead. Also, the background gray is slightly lighter than the gray you used for your banner. The white text against the black is a little harsh on the eyes, try a light gray instead. The header could use a different text, something more interesting. I like how your affiliates are different colored links, but I would use brighter purples and grays so you can see the link hover better. Otherwise, your layout is easy to navigate and very nice to look at.

    About Me
    This is a nice page, I like that you took the time to write about yourself and included a list of things you do, etc. The awards link at the bottom does not work.

    Articles
    These are quite helpful and fun to read through. In the 'Not crediting in an artist community' article, I don't think you need a comma after 'others' (Others, credit the...). I believe in the last sentence 'See that did not make my “less cool”!' should read 'See, that did not make me “less cool”!' I absolutely love your 'Harsh isn’t the best policy' article, I totally agree with it! I think you should rewrite the sentence 'One thing you should know; not all harsh reviews are honest' to 'One thing you should know: not all harsh reviews are honest'. The sentence 'We are all web designers, we should help one another, yes, there are some lacking experience -I am one of them- you should help them grow, not help yourself grow on their expense' is run-on sentence, I would write it 'We are all web designers, we should help one another. Yes, there are some lacking experience -I am one of them- and you should help them grow, not help yourself grow on their expense'. Overall, these are very nice and I think you should write some more to add to the collection.

    Resources
    I love your avatars, they are beautiful! The first one on the second row is kind of boring (too much white) but they are all very cute. The wallpapers are very nice too, the last one is very cool. The textures page is nice, but you should take off the blue border around the image links. (border="0") I think you should add more to this page, it will keep it alive. When I see a small selection, I usually start looking at another page. These are all very nice, but your avatars stand out to me most.

    Website
    The history of the site is cool, but I think there shouldn't be a break after the sentence 'I used premade celebrity layouts from Divergente now named Doux Riens'. As for your credits page, you should put them list or add something about those sites. It looks too plain to have just a bunch of links. The affiliates page is cute, I can't remember how I met half of my affiliates haha! I think this is a nice way to show appreciation.

    Overall
    You have a very cute site. I think it could use some more content, but the layout is appealing and so is the content you have now. I think you should just polish a few things here and there and you're good. :)

    Thanks for the review. Yes, on IE, the banner is a little darker then the background itself, even though i cleaned my coding and validated it ti wouldn't work, it's not the same with other browsers.

    Mozilla Firefox

    First Impression 3/3
    Neat. I like the fonts you use, very easy to read. I can navigate around easily. I'm not too fond of the colours used(too dull in my opinion), but I'm not going to be biased. If you want what I think, I think you should get a black pattern background, with white as your table colors.

    Content 3/4
    Nice set of resource. I like reading your Site History. It kept me amused. :) I'm not going to comment on the graphics, as I can see genuine time and effort put in on them. Keep improving! ^^

    Others 2/3
    Love your site. Will come back to read about blog. You seem funny and interesting. :)
