My personal site on the web where I talk about basically anything that I think about. It can be online or offline chitchat. The site was recently transferred over to a new CMS, so there is no Valid XHTML or CSS yet. The site isn't big on giving content out to visitors since the site is for me to place my thoughts.

Have fun looking over, and I do love reviews on what I need to improve.

    I'm having a hard time deciding whether I like this design or not. It's very neat and well organized and it looks pretty good, but at the same time, there's a lot of writing and not much space.

    Maybe the website would benefit from a diofferent banner? The current one seems a bit plain and if you had a more interesting banner it might balance out the rest of the website, which also looks a little plain.

    As for the navigation, you have a semi-transparent box around each link. I think rather than having the link text change color on rollover, it might look good to have the box around it change color too.

    First impression is good...clean design and welcoming.
    The colours go well together, and I like the stony/grainy accent in the header and form fields. That's a nice touch.

    I had to bump the font size up a few notches to be able to read it...you might consider making the text size a bit larger for readability?

    The margin for the sidebar...you could try adjusting the margin/padding of the text so that it is a little more to the left. It is very close to the edge of the content text.

    Content

    The "Content" section on the site...I don't know what your personal feelings are towards it, but it seems that your main passion is writing, not producing downloads and things. Perhaps it would be better for you if you focus on your passion and don't worry about making pixel graphics and things?

    The writing section is well developed...it's clearly where your interests are. Again, all I would say is that the text is very small. Think about white space/margins. :)

    The Links section...you could do away with this page since it is self explanatory, and put it in the sidebar instead.
    If not, the text on the links page may need going over.
    For example:

    go ahead and contact me somehow.

    Doesn't need the "Somehow" on the end...

    Perhaps change the main paragraph to something like this instead - "Below are places that I belong to, friend’s sites and my favourite links". The current one is a little difficult to scan. I'm not the best at writing and grammar, so obviously you need to phrase it in your own way if you change it.

    Thank you for your review. I went ahead and adjusted to the padding on my sidebar. I also increased the size a bit. My content section was removed for I do not have much. I only added it because of a pixel group I joined, however, my love is towards writing which you could see was a bulk on the site.

    I must say, this is a beautiful layout. I am very fond of it. I enjoy the simplicity and organization of it. The colors are great too. I really like your navigation, how it lines up with your site name, nice touch. However, I think the text is a bit too small. For some reason, it doesn't bother me that it's small in the sidebar, but the main section could use a bigger font size. The link hover is nice, but for longer links, the color seems to cut off. The tags section looks a bit sloppy centered and ongoing, maybe you should separate them better and in a neater fashion.     This is a very neat page. I like how you put your photo next to the text. I also like the neat contacts at the bottom. I would get rid of the link hover on the images, if possible.

    For some reason, I thought there would be more stuff on here. It's nice that you have a brief description and terms of use. I'm not crazy about the word 'PIXELS' centered with the same CSS as the navigation. I would possibly put it in a list or something. You only have one pixel, so I think you should either make more pixels or get rid of the pixels page. It doesn't have much strength alone with only one graphic.

    Writings
    This opens to a new page with a new layout. The layout is gorgeous and very original, nice job! These are a lot of fun to read. The contact link does not work for me.

    Links
    This page is okay, though there isn't much to it. I would recommend putting the links on your homepage instead.

    Contact
    This is a nice page, I like how the input has a cool background. The sentence at the top 'If your needing to contact me for any reason, use some of the ideas below', the 'your' should be 'you're'. I'm not sure about the 'some of the ideas below' part, it doesn't make much sense to me, so I would rephrase it.

    Overall
    This site is beautiful. The writings stand out most to me. I would get rid of the content section since you don't have much, but you can always build on it, too. I can see your site offering a couple of resources, maybe even site layouts. This site is very nice, keep up the great work!

    I am glad that you liked the theme for my layout. I know my content was very scarce. I posted that at the top that I didn't have much. However, I did like what you said.

    I was actually surprised that you visit my writing site. Most people don't since it is a link outside of the main site. Anyways, I am glad for your opinion on it. I know there are still errors there. It is still be worked on.

    I will use your advice to my best of knowledge and improve my site.
