Artsie.me was finally opened (after working on it for a very long time!) on January 1, 2010. It's a personal blog of a 24 year old art student in Florida w/ a bit of visitor content. Besides being a blog, it also houses the art that I have created in my classes.

Hello Veronica

I checked out your site and I think it's adorable. I love the matching header and footer it's really cute. Your layout is clean and organized. The font used for your post titles are nice and you made sure you used a different font for your actual posts. The color palette choosing is very spring time and pretty to look at. Your navigation is concise and right up top so it's easy to find. I really love when people put links to other places on the net they can be found like Facebook etc, and you are no different.

I enjoyed your projects and your use of colors. It did take some time loading but not sure if it's my browser and I only have 1. But when it did I was in for a treat. Beautiful work which I'm glad you shared and are putting to use your skills for doing so,

Overall I really liked what you put together. Creative, nice to look at, easy to read, simple layout. Great job.

Hello, my name is Christine! I have a PC that runs Window's vista with a resolution of 1280x800 :) My current browser is Google Chrome.

First impression:

Layout:
The quality of the header and footer is okay, but the little half circle border things are a bit fuzzy, you saved it as a .png file, which is good, so it was probably the image program you used. It seems like a problem that can't be fixed, so try to stray away from using the same method for creating such a thing. It's also a bit darker than the boxes in the sidebar

I noticed that all of the images in your site have a border, besides the header and the footer. Although this looks good for the pictures you post in your blog, it doesn't look too good around the stars next to the movies you have reviewed. What I suggest doing, is assigning certain images you want to have a border around a class, or id. In css it would look like this:

.contentborder {
border: 5px solid #ccc;
}

to change the colour when the person hovers, you can also insert this into your CSS:

.contentborder:hover {
border: 5px solid #000;
}

If you want to go for a double border effect, you can add padding and change the background-color:

.contentborder {
border: 3px solid #000;
padding: 5px;
background-color: #ccc;
}

To assign the class to an image, add class="contentborder" to its snippet, for example:

<img src="IMGURL" "alt="" "class="contentborder"">

Hope that helps you with that :)

---

Those are the only two issue I find with your site, it is very well written, and is organised. Perhaps more visitors content should do, but it isn't a majour priority for you right now.

My name is Taylor & I'll be reviewing your site in Firefox!

First Impression: 12/15
When I enter your website I can actually say that I adore your theme! Your image seems a little blurred and old. I'm not sure how to explain it really well. . .It just seems as if you saved your image in the wrong extension. (For example, going into paint and saving an image as a .jpg) But I do REALLY love the concept though. (Showing the theme with objects rather than the characters themselves)

Your 'Owner' section: 8/8
I truly love your writing style! I don't know why, but I just do! :) I really can't take anything off for this part of your site. :)

Your 'Artwork' section: 11/15
I think you're actually VERY good & you definitely have talent! Your images just didn't impress me, though. I'm definitely NOT saying that they aren't good. I just don't have a liking towards that style of design.

Your 'Visitor' section: 15/20
I have nothing bad to say about this. -gives you a high five- But I would love to see more things for you to offer. :)

Everything else seems in good shape! Commendably done!

Thanks for the lovely review :D! Hmm, they are saved as HQ JPG and look fine on my screen and the computers at school. Very odd they are showing up as blurry.

Hello Veronica! My name is Chelsey and I'll be reviewing your site as of today. (:
First off, I would like to tell you that I absolutely adore your site name. I especially love it when people manage to incorporate some creativity onto their site names by using different extensions as a part of their site name--example, "Artsie.me"! It's an adorable little name and it is both cute and creative.

When I first visited your site, I was very impressed with that I saw. It seemed to have neat and organized coding and a cute theme. Alice in Wonderland, right? I loved that movie! Your site seems to work fine with other browsers than Mozilla Firefox. Good job. (:
The only thing I recommend for this section is to put your "Blog" above "About Me" in your navigation bar.

I loved your "About Me" page--mainly cause of the writing style. I like how you are able to capture the reader's attention, even though it is on a page such as the "About Me" page. You are also incorporating your own personality into the "About Me" page, allowing the visitor to learn more about you and it's more pleasing to read. This shows that you have a unique and good writing style--are you considering to become a writer or author?

Okay, scratch that ... after I visited your "Artwork" segment, I was truly impressed. You have a lot of talent in you! I especially love the pictures in "Color Foundations", although everything is pretty impressive! Do you have a DeviantArt? You should consider to make one! You could probably sell quite a few of your prints there too! You have talent in the fine arts field. (:

You don't currently have a lot in your "Visitors" page, but as you noted, you plan to add more in the future. I like the emoticons you've added--they're all very cute! The first few sets of emoticons, however, seem a bit tiny. Maybe some people would prefer them, but I had to peer in to see what emotions they represented. Otherwise, good job with your emoticons. Have you ever considered making emoticons in other shapes besides circles?

There's nothing much to say about your "Domain" page or "Links" page. They both look fairly organized and nice. You have a good list on your "Links" page.

Overall, very good job with your website, Veronica! It was a pleasure to visit your website and I know that your site will continue to grow in vast directions. Perhaps you could offer advertising or find affiliates to help your website, because in my opinion, it certainly deserves more attention.
Anyways, I rated your website 4.5 stars. Fantastic job and I look forward into seeing your continuous improvement in your website!

Thank you for such a lovely review :D! I actually do have a deviant art account, but only house the artwork that I make in my art classes on artsie since that's why I chose artsie me as the name :)

The smilies are quite old, I have been working on newer (and larger ones!) so thanks for the reminder haha :D I've thought of other shapes but not sure exactly what ones besides maybe squares or rectangles (unless you have a specific shape in mind?). Glad you liked my about me page as well, I just write for fun though :)

Thanks again!
