First Impression: I like the over all look of your site. The layout is clean & not to outgoing. The links "Cooking" "Coupons" etc, in the green bar under "About" etc is kind of hard to read. I think the lime green bar with the white text is a bit much. The site name does not explain much. It makes me wonder, "The One Fantastical what?" I do like the site colors and your header is adorable! :) Your choice of font is great. Very easy to read!
Design: I have already talked about your design, but I will go into more detail! I like the colors you have chosen. They go really well together, I think. Your font you used in your header is very easy to read & the text looks good. The effects on your header text are simple, yet elegant. The one thing I do not like about the over all design of the site is all of the advertisements all over the sidebar. I think just one or two plus the one right above your posts would do!
Content: I think that you have a good amount of content to your site, and I like the fact that you blog about every other day! I have found that give aways are a good way to get returning visitors to your site. I do like how with some of your blog posts, you have a small icon to the right of the text. That's a nice addition! The connect buttons up top are also a nice touch, a good way to interact with your readers! The Twitter, RSS Feeds, Facebook and Flicker should help with returning visitors also!
Coding: Coding is not one of my strong points, but I ran your site through http://validator.w3.org/ and it showed up with 22 Errors. You may want to check and see what that site has to say about what errors there are with your coding.
Overall: I really like your blog, and will be adding it to my bookmarks!

There is a lot of whitespace. As a design element, whitespace is good and dandy, but theres just too much here. Colors are fine and cute and all. It's kind of hard to figure out what the site is all about, and whats going on.Design:
Like I said, lots of unnecessary whitespace. The header graphic doesn't start for at least a hundred pixels. Maybe even more. You want to keep important content above the 'fold' and all the spacing doesn't help. For the header, it looks okay, could be better. The navigation does nothing to help you. It's too small, and the generic caps make it hard to read and distinguish the words. Although the hovering is cool, its stil hard to read. I think the body font could be a bit bigger. This is a lesson my mother taught me- you want to make your site useable by everyone. A small font can be hard to read by some people. I like the colors, they blend nice and you use it throughout the site design, which is a really important element.Coding:
Well, it seems like your using a CMS, SquareSpace - so I don't think that there's a lot I can say here. Like Shakima said, validation is very important. Make sure you get it looked at.Content:
You've got a nice blog here, and a nice with a large audience that can follow. Posts are relevant and the giveaways, and reviews keep readers engaged. Images or thumbnails on the front page would be a nice contrast between copy/images. Just gives people something to look at.Overall:
I really like how you included user interaction with your site. Tweets, friend connect, social links- really help you connect with readers. Your site was nice overall, kind of confusing at times, but it got the the point at others. Good Job!Using Safari on Mac | Report This?

Your site name leaves me hanging. I'm like okay one fantastical what? So I go to your web page and there's this big 'Ol banner. To be honest, banners should only be be between 600 - 800 pixels at most. Visitors with smaller screen resolutions will have to scroll around too much. Also if your main focus is text the size doesn't always make it stand out, its the effects. The effects you used are simple yet they get the job done. Nice choice of font very legible.Design:
Well I already commented on the design a bit but ill elaborate a bit more. The contrasting colors of white and black aren't the best choice in my eyes. Maybe a gray or something softer to the eyes should be in the background. Why so many ads all over the sidebar? You want your visitors to stay on your site not click ads all day. Try to limit the ads to keep visitors or make them text instead of a bunch of images.Coding:
I'm not too much of a validation freak but when I ran your site through the validator you had 71 Errors, 10 warning(s). You should look into fixing that only because it makes browser compatibility better meaning your site looks better and loads faster in most browsers.Content:
There's too many unnecessary links in the navigation. A lot of those things can be merged. For example, contact me can go under the about me section. Giveaways, Reviews, Winners, Fantastical Friday Giveaway Linky Can all be under a visitor's content section or something. As far as reviews, giveaways and winners go i expected something different. I expected separate pages that were focused on that topic instead of a bunch of blogs on those topics.Overall:
I'm not here to give you pure cruel criticism. I'm here giving tips and whatnot. overall the site isn't bad for its purpose. The design could be sleeker. The navigation and sidebar can be tidied up a lot. Your sections should be more content rather than a bunch of blogs. I see the word "giveaway" I would expect a list of items not a heap of blogs basically. I hope my review helped you out some.Using MSIE on Windows | Report This?
