Well structured layout, great care and attention for details! Great colour scheme (this is one of the first thing I noticed in a graphic work). The only thing I don't really like is the background pattern... colour is ok, but I don't like the flowers... but it's my taste!
After the first impression, let's see better every element of your website, because at a second look I'm finding a bit of things that should be corrected:1) THE HEADER: Your header should be lovely. Really, because it's really cute, but it has some problems with the red line that draws the inner profile: the upper part seems disconnected and the curves are not so "curved"... I can see... corners? It can be an issue you had with your graphic software, or a CSS coding problem... you should fix it!
The text with the links to inside the header is a good idea, but you should make "I write" a bit farker because it's unreadable.2) The MENUs: I like the blue menu and I don't find problems with it. The only point maybe the Twitter link, it should be more evident, or listed in the subscribed box... so that you can earn easily more followers!
There are some problems with the red/orange menu: the last item of the list, "War of Warcraft" simply doesn't fit it... it is going out of the menu with its arrow! Try to code better your css moving all the menu items some pixels on the left and you should easily fix it.3) THE BLOG POSTS: I like the style of the blog posts, but there's something to fix here too; the post titles, for example, are too small! Have you noticed that your comment/folder icons are taller than post titles? This should be exactly the opposite! The first thing you should see in a blog are post titles! So make the bigger and bolder and make comments/folder icons smaller... they are useless for blog readability!
I love how you designed the date format for the posts, it's amazing!
4) THE SIDEBAR: Sidebar is well designed, but I find an orange triangle in the bottom right corner: it's a sign of a previous background?
Again, titles for sidebar boxes are too small, you should make the a bit bigger and evident.
Maybe the search box should be the first one, not the third of your list. It's small and it will not ruin the evidence of the "subscribe" box. However, I will give more evidence to "the author" box that to the "subscribe" box, but it's up to your taste. Calendar at the last post is a bit useless. I would use them in this order: "Search - Author - Calendar - Categories - Subscribe Tags - Latest Tweets - RSS"5) Footer: it is simpler, but the red line of the profile has always the same problem of the header.
ATTENTION: The "Return to the top" button shouldn't load again the homepage. It should scroll the page till the top. There are useful scripts that will help you doing this.
"latest post in Tutorials" doesn't list any post.Using Firefox on Windows | Report This?

I have some issues with some of the styling choices for this layout. Going with a cartoon look with no shading is great, and can make a nice looking page, though having bevel shading in the navigation bars clashes with that aesthetic.
The color palette is also very odd, and may not appeal to everyone. This is fine in and off itself, I can really like a bold palette. However, one thing that might help tie it in better in the future is having all of the colors come from the header image. Even if the colors were only accents in the header image, it would still help tie the color scheme together.
I'm not a fan of the sidebar and secondary navbar design.
The sidebar boxes do not flow with the rest of the layout, and folded corner graphic looks like transparency was not properly applied. The design scheme of the side bar does not match with the navigation, and does not flow with the page. The way the lines flow with the layout border also looks a bit jarring.
The secondary navbar doesn't flow with the layout border.
The footer again introduces another layout style, with the fading background on the boxes. The footer style does not match with the rest of the layout.
In the end this layout has some good ideas, though in the end has too many for it to flow well. I'd recommend editing out some of your ideas, and allowing all the page elements to match.
I do like the overall concept of the layout, I love the cartoon girl and how it is design. I really like the page background. I love the line border of the layout, it is creative and different and matched with the elements I just mentioned. The content is easy to read which is always a plus.
Navigation
I'm not quite sure why they're are two navbars, as the secondary navbar does not seem to have a lot of content in the context menus. The naviagation gets very confusing due to the presence of the second navbar.
There is also a coding error (at least in my browser) which causing the layout to break between the navbar and the content section. It appears that the secondary navigation is for the page categories, why just put this in the primary navigation? This would greatly clean up the page, and make the primary nav flow properly with the shading and all.
When creating navigation, I like sections where readers have a lot of different places to go. Until you have built up your content, consider changing the organization.
Content
Overall you're writing is fairly solid. However, at times there is a pattern of long paragraphs and run on sentences. Long paragraphs can be difficult to read and can lose the readers interest.
In the content styling it would be beneficial to increase the amount of spacing between paragraph breaks, right now it is close to the line spacing and makes the page a little hard to read.
I'd also suggest labeling content better with sub headings within the content, it can make articles easier to read, and keeps reader interest. It also helps readers scan long articles to find the content that most interests them.

When I initially loaded your site, I was turned off by the design. This isn't actually down to the design at all, it's simply my tastes. Your design is clearly based at a particular audience, and that's not me. However, i think it's good that you have a design catered to your exact audience.
They site is nice and neatly organized, and it's easy enough to navigate around. Your main content is right there. Everything just seems fine here.
A couple of small suggestions - You have the sidebar with your main information in it. That's good, but I think there's a little too much information there. Also, i think the 'about the author' module should be at the top, instead of the subscribe box.
That's all, keep up the good work!
