Tea

About Me: I'm Téa, owner of a lot of dead or neglected sites. One of these days, I'll get around to dealing with them. In my defense, most of them have an abundance of content and can stand firmly as a static site even if I haven't updated them in ages. Or at least that's what I like to tell myself.

Me on websites (and a lot of things): I don't care for or about trends. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

I'm not a coding expert, so I probably won't be saying much about that particular aspect in my reviews. It should, however, function properly (and validate). I don't tend to "grade" About pages nor do I go into great detail about every single section/article/content and such either. Instead, I will most likely comment extensively on the design, user-friendliness, the way you present your content, and my overall experience while there. That and whatever happens to catch my notice. I also have a terrible tendency to nitpick at the design details... no doubt a side effect of my job, and I really AM trying to tone it down. :\

Likes:

I like colors that work well together and a nice balance between good content and layout. An effort to credit layouts and resources is great to see as well.

Overall, attention to detail and that "extra-mile" effort goes a long way for me.

Dislikes:

I get very irritated by sites that only work on IE. I dislike frames of any kind and unnecessary pop-ups as well. What gets to me the most, though, might be the assumption that something is great just because it's a popular trend- especially when no consideration is given as to whether it fits or works for said site.

These days, I also find myself quite annoyed with the term "graphic designer" being tossed around carelessly.
